![]() Author has written 2 stories for Naruto, and Yu Yu Hakusho. Name: paper-star017 Other News Still need improvement with my writing.. OTL;; Oh, and I apologize for constantly changing my username! They always end up so corny, but I think I'd be sticking with this one for a long time. All You Ever Wanted: Discontinued due to personal reasons (but it may be brought back because of those who still have hope for the story). Winter's Bite: (COMPLETED) A Fragile Promise: (IN-PROGRESS) Based on Miyazaki's Spirited Away, Chihiro finally returns home. One-Shot. Story takes place after her return and begins with a recollection of the movie, and then summarizes what has been happening between the years. Chihiro is in high school (I haven't decided whether she will be a freshman or a senior) and her memories of the Spirit World is close to none. The only fragment that remains is a promise. She's not sure what the promise was or who it was made to and from, but she knows well that it was important to her. // The ending of Spirited Away was so open that it was almost dissatisfying, but if I had to be honest with myself, a sequel would not suit this movie. Sequels are tricky and I felt like this film accomplished so much already, because by the end of the movie, you feel like anything was possible for Chihiro. What worked for the movie, that set it apart from every other movie, was how such a young girl had to learn how to grow up. A twig-like girl with a heavy responsibility to bring her and her family safely back home, it's really astounding. A sequel would probably be much too expensive, and possibly excessive. Even an epilogue after the credits of the first movie would be too much. But, I am a very childish person and I am greedy for a set-in-stone ending. I say all these mature things, and yet all I seem to do is wonder if what I believe is true. I believe that Chihiro and Haku do meet one day, but I don't understand how. Haku's river is gone (but you can argue that all rivers are connected so…). And I don't think Chihiro would cross the tunnel again because I feel like she would keep her word (to not look back). Haha, I really don't know what to think, but I love that it ended positively and very hopefully. I love the fact that the movie takes place during summer because summer is somehow always bittersweet. So this story that I'm attempting is just something to calm my nerves (because every time I think about Chihiro and Haku, my heart literally aches). So, I hope that you like the story too. I don't know when I'll be done with it though. It'll take some time probably--depending on school. |
