Poll: Which character/characters are your favorites so far in the Galactic War series? Vote Now! |
![]() Author has written 9 stories for Star Wars. I am a HUGE Star Wars, Avatar: The Last Airbender (cartoon series), Eragon, Naruto, and LOTR fan. I started writing Galactic War about three years ago, after I read the first couple of books from Jude Watson's Last of the Jedi series. I LOVE clone troopers, though my passion for the clone soldiers may not be apparent until you read Book 3. I'm also a martial artist, so you may see some taekwondo techniques incorporated into some of the fight scenes. My favorite book series? Republic Commando. Karen Traviss did a fantastic job developing the Mandalorian culture and the clones. I actually didn't care for clone troopers much until I read the Republic Commando series. Now they're my favorite characters!! Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars, though most of the characters in Galactic War – as well as Zylxxians, Pyronites, the Syleeto System, etc. – are of my own creation. Currently I'm working on book five out of the eight planned for Galactic War. Here is the list of the books in the series: Book 1: Jedi Fight - Completed. Rated K+ Book 2: The First Wave - Completed. Rated K+ Book 3: The Front Line - Completed. Rated K+ Book 4: Behind the Mask - Completed. Rating is T for mild language (In Mando'a, of course ;-))Also, the violence is a bit more intense in this book, with a/some character(s) becoming severely injured. Book 5: Invader - Completed. Rated T for violence and some mild language in Mando'a. Book 6: Syzygy - In Progress. Rated T for violence, thematic elements, and language. Note: the content in this book is anticipated to be darker than any of the previous stories. Read at your own risk! For an explanation of the title (which is a real word, by the way), read the prologue to Book 6. Book 7 (Tentative Title): To the Pain Book 8 (Tentative Title): Knightfall And for those who want to learn more about Adriaan's mysterious Master, Jacen Palgwebb, I have posted two short and hopefully humorous stories that are based on real life events. I'm juggling ideas about whether to write an entire series about Adriaan's Padawan days, or to just write a collection of vignettes that offer readers a little more insight into Adriaan's relationship with her Master. I'll make a definite decision after I finish Galactic War, but until then, enjoy these shorts. The Jacen Palgwebb Collection of One-shots: Worthy - A short story about how Adriaan meets her soon-to-be Master. A *slightly* exaggerated version of how I met the person Jacen Palgwebb is based on. Warning: contains TONS of taekwondo-style fighting, and zero WICKEDNESS. Rated K+ for violence. To Make Him Smile - A vignette of Adriaan's 2nd Taikaido tournament. A non-exaggerated version of my own 2nd martial arts tournament (And I don't lie). Warning: contains TONS of taekwondo-style fighting and zero WICKEDNESS. Rated K+ for violence. And for those who always wondered what Adriaan & company did while AWOL on Nubia, here is a collection of one-shots which reveal those secrets: What Happened On Nubia? Collection of One-shots: Never Yours – “Oh, no, I have nothing to hide about him [Klamin]; don’t be so ridiculous. But now that you mention that hideous monstrosity, maybe there are some things about him the rest of you aren’t yet aware of.” Adriaan smoothed down her jumpsuit. “Do I really need to tell you, though? I would have thought you would have guessed by now. You were on the bridge when I was lecturing him.” Syzygy: Chapter 4. Adriaan had initially seemed to get along splendidly with 16-year-old Klamin J'Oli, but gradually their amity seemed to cool into a gelid relationship. What happened between them that caused their friendship to cool? Initially, it all started innocuously with Darc getting drunk and Klamin offering to dance with Adriaan to save her from disgrace. From there on out, the peaceful night at the dance club decayed into a heated argument between Master and Apprentice that would permanently strain relationships within the team. Favorite Quotes: Success is failure turned inside out - the silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and when you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems afar; so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit - it's when things seem worst, you must not quit." ("Don't Quit", Edgar A. Quest) "Kaysh meg miit'gaana, oyacyi." – Translation: "Who writes, remains." (Mandalorian proverb) Update: chapter 7 to Syzygy has been posted! R&R! To those who read, add my stories to their fav lists, and/or review, Ori'vor'e! (Thanks a million!) |
