My Aims

It is my sincere wish to make you think independently about the importance of social order, the content of your character, and, most importantly, the pursuit of your own happiness. I hope to accomplish this by using the vehicle of our shared enjoyment of fiction and our shared desire to experience something mystical about our everyday lives.

Everything that I post here will likely take the form of Harry Potter fanfiction. The wide cast of characters gives me a number of brushes with which to paint.

A Note About Magic

Many fanfiction authors utilize magic as something that is easily seen and that can be used as easily as one would a hand. I, however, do not share that view. Our ability to touch and manipulate the world with our body is irreplaceable. The spirit is united with the body and, I believe, cannot be separated. In this, the spirit is no greater than the whole, and I hope that this shows in what I will write.

As you will read in The Evil Soul, magic is something heavily linked to the regular perceptions of the body. Buildings that cannot be seen without permission, portraits which can hear but not be heard, curses which taste foul, enchanted objects that make the air purr around them, and a soul that feels incomplete.

There will be elements of action, yes, but if you wish to read a story that is filled with flashing lights, molten beams of magic, or fortuitous tomes of spells, you will not it here.

I hope you enjoy and open your mind to things I have to say about life, happiness, good, evil, and (maybe even) fanfiction authors.
