Ok, so I don't really know how to get started, so I'm just gonna jump right in. My name is John, and I'm from North Carolina in the US. I've always loved writing. Ever since I was younger I would write stories that I made up, often times writing extensions to books, stories, or games that I loved. Turned out there was a name for that thing I did; fan fiction. I wouldn't discover this until much, much later, however. I'm also an avid gamer/techie/geek. Gaming and computing technology is my passion, and I hope to be a computer engineer someday and work in the games industry. Anyhow, because I love games so much, you can pretty much expect lots of stories in the games department. I'm currently working on a Mass Effect fanfic, which will turn into a few sequel fanfics and probably even a prequel, and I've also got a Fallout fanfic in the planning stages.

I am by no means a professional writer. I love creative writing, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'm good at it. I'm pretty much learning as I go here, as these are the first works that I've shared with the public. That being said, I'm trying to use this website to hone my writing skills and improve my work before I begin writing original works, so any constructive criticism is welcomed and appreciated. I also beg your pardon for the slow pace at which I churn out chapters. I'm a rather slow writer, as I like to think about my writing and critique it as I go to make it as good as possible. When I write a paragraph I usually end up rewriting it several times to make it as close to perfect as I can get it. And even then I usually think of a better way to phrase it later, after it's already published.
