Aie...I really do have a nasty habit of disappearing at random from the internet...

Well, long story short...Couple of years ago, I wrote a horrid story on ff.net, came back a few years later in an attempt to redeem myself, forgot about it and left again. However, I am back, and hopefully I won't chicken out again...

So, because I'm lazy, I'm just going to copy this from my second account, which I forgot the password for.

Introduction:

I'm 'AtoningForSunbrightMoonlight,” "NotQuiteSunBright," but since that's rather long, you can call me...well, you can call me whatever you want, as long as it's not vulgar. AFSM Sunbright works, but you can come up with whatever you like.

There's not much to me, really.

The story behind my literary failure, along with some notes for those blessed, tolerant few who actually read and liked the original story and want to know what's going to be different, can be seen below. Otherwise, feel free to skip the block to text below.

'(Attemping to) Right the Wrong'

...Okay. Let's get this over with. I'll try to be keeping this short and simple.

Once upon a time, I created an account here called "SunbrightMoonlight." Of course, being the ignorant child I was at the time, I wrote two horrible, horrible chapters of what one could barely call a story.

Luckily before I could release the third chapter of my...special story, I moved to Canada and forgot all about it.

That is, until recently.

Seemingly by chance, a friend of mine sent me a link to my old...lovely gem. After getting over my laughing fit and utter shame-simultaneously, I may add-I started thinking about it. Not just what was written, but what 12/13 year old me was intending to write-if you can even call it writing.

I started to think things over, and eventually, a new tale was born through the questioning of the old one. It doesn’t really resemble the original at all, with quite a few dozen changes. The only large similarity would be in the character of Zinnia, (Zin for short,) who's based off Scar to some degree. Yes. Scar. Lovely name, huh. (Not only was it trying to sound overly badass, but it rhymed with his species, too! Scar the Larvitar. Uhg.)

Over the break, I began to think to myself...sure, my writing probably still needs work, but at least what I write will be better than this.

So I began planning it out, and am currently re-working a very different Chapter 1. Technically speaking, this new story is what Scarlet Rescue Team could have been if it were actually planned and thought out in contrast to writing out the first chapter in under 20 minutes on a whim. Lovely present for those who actually cared about the story and have been waiting for two or three years, if they're even still around...

Which brings me to another point. For anyone who originally sent an OC, I've decided that I will not be accepting any further OCs. However, if you still want him or her in the story, send me a PM and we will discuss. I'm really sorry about this, especially since you guys were nice enough to care about the awful story I wrote those couple of years ago, but Ive decided it'd be better off without them. I could go on about why, but it would be very long and this has been long enough, I think, so I will spare you.
