![]() Author has written 3 stories for Mechwarrior/Battletech, and Star Citizen. I am a storyteller by nature. I am also a sometimes writer with no formally published fiction. And yes, I am trying to marry the two; how successful I am is for you to decide. On the fan fiction front, I've been writing fluff for years; it is mostly for Battletech/MechWarrior; I also did an extended piece for HomeWorld back in the day and a fair number of shorts (mostly lost now). The newest ff is related to Star Citizen. I intend to keep on with the 'Mechwarrior stories in progress, but am far more active right now with the new SC universe and it's entirely new underlying assumptions. Unfortunately, SC mechanics have changed since I began and none of the alien races have any real detail to their lore, so once again, my stories can not be considered canon. As you will see if you read TOG In Space, I've gone out on a lot of limbs... some of which RSI/CIG has sawn out from under me. A note for those of you following the O'Brian Chronicles: I am not done, just very focused in the SC universe right now. Anyway, my fiction, especially the ff/fluff, is first person and all of the more recent stuff is first person in present tense; think method acting the role of whomever is telling the story... and the story itself is being related as it happens (i.e., no knowledge of the future). I'm unlikely to post any real shorts here, so if you see something starting, there will very likely be more. The exception is any old material; depending on it's condition, I may just drop it all at once or chapter by chapter as I clean it up a bit. Most of what I'll put out here has been seen before. My thought is that perhaps posting it here with a greater talent base that can read and review will garner a bit of feedback... hopefully some of it from those with more serious writing experience. For those of you who do have that experience and take the time to offer constructive feedback: thank you in advance. I should note that I have non-ff writing and other activities that can take time away from regular ff posts; if you like what you read, please be patient, you can expect that more is to come. An aside for the ghost reviewers (those commenting from unregistered id's): I wish to note that while I do leave up negative comments (minus any that are abusive or offensive) I am unlikely to consider anything unspecific of what you say since I can't interact with you to clarify what you are thinking. Other reviewers can attest that I have indeed reconsidered (and changed) things when I can clarify the thoughts behind the feedback. Those who are not giving me the choice might want to just address other readers, since your criticism becomes rather useless for me when your intent or points are not nearly as obvious as you seem to think. |
