Eventually, she stops thinking about what the girl she used to be would do and starts doing what the woman she is wants to do. It just so happens that she gets what and who she wants, even if neither were what she expected.

Pre-TDKR. After a nightmare, Talia goes to Bane for comfort and something to take her mind off it. Takes place during their time in the pit.

They hadn't deserved a second chance, yet someone up above had provided one. This is a sequel to my fic "Hold On, Hold On" and as such it takes place after "Jumping the Gun", incorporating some elements from later episodes of S2. The title and lyrics come from another Neko Case song, "Star Witness."
