It is said that two souls, whether kin or strangers, old or young, friend or foe, may be 'kindred'. These souls are thought to be bound in some way, their paths wound by Fate from the same thread. Many never realize this, but some choose to follow the thread, whatever may come. Until. - This is a Blackwater departure AU, with the goal of character realism and a slow-burning plot.

Sandor Clegane embarks on a quest to find his brother, while Alayne of the Vale awaits the next twist in her tragic tale. Updates: having seen her idyll shattered after Gregor's return, Sansa is forced to navigate courtly politics amidst the new powers rising in the realm. FINISHED.

1980's AU. Hair Metal/Arena Rock SanSan. Straight-laced and a yuppie in the making, Sansa is dragged to a metal concert by Arya and Gendry where she captures the eye of the guitarist of the band Cannibal Star. Crude and lewd, Sandor is everything Sansa was certain she didn't want. Even with this unlikely match, sparks fly and misadventures ensue as they try to get their two world.

A few weeks shy of her 18th birthday, Sansa Stark has lived a charmed, quiet life. That is until one fateful night when her life is turned into a nightmare and she becomes entranced by a mysterious man, propelling her into the dark paradise of his world. Sansa Stark has a coming-of-age dream about an encounter between her adult self and Sandor Clegane. A series of vignettes about the sexual and moral fruition of Sansa Stark and a character study about the duality of Sandor Clegane. Sandor Clegane takes Sansa Stark from the Vale. Why? Well, it ... seemed the thing to do. This story is rated M for language, violence, and mature content.

AU in which Sandor doesn't desert during the Battle of the Blackwater; but he doesn't know about Sansa being forced to marry Tyrion until it happens. Joffrey then trolls and plots and insists that Sandor guard his uncle and new good-aunt...

Fate brought them together in King's Landing only to pull them apart during the Battle of the Blackwater. With Sandor on the Quiet Isle and Sansa in the Eyrie, they both begin to feel the fates accelerating them towards one another once again. Sandor takes his fate in his own hands and decides to leave the Quiet Isle in search of his Little Bird.

Winter over Westeros. This follows some well loved characters into the cold and beyond, exploring believes and faith and fate.

"You come to my chambers uninvited and climb into my bed. You take your pleasure and then slip away like some buggering thief and leave me covered in you; you're all I can bloody smell for hours after. You do these things and then summon me to dine with you like you would one of your bannermen, like it's some sort of favor you're doing, and dare call me ser?"

Sandor Clegane discovers that death does not always mark the end of a life. Sometimes it's only the beginning. Spoilers up to and including A Feast For Crows. AU
