I became a fan of the show and, specifically, Rita and Chris when it was first introduced. They had amazing on-set chemistry even as the show struggled with budget constraints and, let's be honest, sometimes less than stellar script writing. So, decades later, the ending still chaps my butt. I've had this story bouncing around my head for a while, now, and had to get it out.
