I'm an aspiring sci-fi writer from the land down under. My specialty is military science fiction, as well as crossovers. I usually don't venture away from Mass Effect, Halo, Battlestar Galactica or Star Wars stories/crossovers (mainly the latter), however, I do have an interest in Stargate (excluding Universe, didn't like it) and a waning interest in Star Trek.

So hear this. I'm Australian and what I'm seeing in America with this whole SOPA business, trying to ban fanfiction? All I can say is that it is absolutely stupid. If America purports to be the land of the free, why restrict the internet to appease the big companies?
From what I hear, there's something on your government's website like a petition that appeals to the Congress to do things. There is actually a petition there to stop SOPA. If you are American, and you can spare a second of your time, check it out and sign it.
