Mac's sole ire was for the damn Twinkies. He stomped the unopened pack, grinding sponge cake and cream into the blood splattered floor of the convenience store as he followed the stretcher toting his partner towards the red-lighted ambulance waiting for them beyond the shattered door. It was not the way he'd planned for them to spend Memorial Day.

Demoted, the work stresses and failures in his career become the direct responsibility of Five-0, and especially of Danny Williams. You can guess that Danny whump and angsty Steve are coming along in this one! Cano character based on my prior stories and especially "Amnesia".

During a joint drug bust gone wrong with the DEA, Steve is briefly kidnapped by the drug cartel. Escaping into the Hawaiian jungle but suffering from amnesia, he and Danny eventually take the cartel down. Some joint whumpage ensues. Joint caring.

Steve's distraught thoughts and musings as he sits vigil over a comatose Danny. Playing a word game of sorts from when he was a child, Steve defines Danny using each letter of the alphabet.

Grace is refusing to speak to or see Danny. What happened and can their relationship be repaired before it's too late?

It was a normal trip to the bank for Steve, Danny and Kamekona until it wasn't...Danny whumpage, Steve whumpage, and at some point someone gets really angry.

Steve finds out that Danny likes deep sea fishing and used to go yearly off Long Island, NY with his father. For Danny's birthday, Steve charters a local sport fishing boat off Kona which is attacked by drug traffickers.

A missing scene suggestion based on 'Ua Hiki Mai Kapalena Pau'; S1 x 23. I couldn't shake this idea for the longest time after this episode and finally put it to paper. This story focuses on angsty Steve, his first question to Danny upon seeing him collapse, and his thoughts thereafter. Totally my first ever fan fiction. Please rate and review!
