When Eponine, clinging onto life with everything she has, sees a man with a heartbeat more frail than her own, she realises that there may still be hope for her soul. But the world is unchanged and God is dead. Even together, they are alone.

When the barricades fall, Enjolras finds himself at the mercy of a world he had thought was at an end. Surviving in this world becomes all the more difficult with the revelation that his saving grace, Vanessa, lost someone under his command. For Vanessa, it becomes hard to hate the broken man who had once shined so brightly in the eyes of one she held dear.

As the flames of the Revolution burn higher and higher around him, Enjolras finds a broken bird, and brings it into the light of a new tomorrow. Eponine strives towards redemption, struggling to get out of the shadows of the streets of Paris.

AU. Fantine gave birth to twin girls, and after her death, Valjean has promised to raise both Cosette and Eponine. Over the years, he will learn to love and his treasured daughters will learn to be loved-first by their father, and later by two handsome revolutionaries. Eventual Enjonine and Mariette.

What will happen between them? How will Eponine adjust to living in modern times? Could she possibly fall in love with a revolutionary she never took the time to notice before? The revolution succeeds. Enjolras confronts reality, both political and personal, while Eponine is faced with a series of opportunities. What happens when they must guide each other in this strange new world that needs them as much as they need it?

After months of using the Amis meetings as an excuse to dreamily stare at Marius, Éponine finally discovers what the schoolboys are planning and makes it her mission to convince their fearless leader that a revolution is a death sentence. When she finally comes face to face with Enjolras, however, her life, and her affections, begin to change in very unexpected ways.

Dr. Ramsay has a final project for his senior law students, and Enjolras is not thrilled. Volunteering in a soup kitchen to "better understand the people"? The leader of the ABC Society thinks he understands everything until one chance encounter turns his life upside down. Enjolras/Éponine, modern AU.
