Thanks for popping in to have a look around! This hopeless romantic loves romantic comedies. I never thought I'd enjoy writing, since my least favorite subjects in school were literature and language arts. But as I've gotten older I have found enjoyment in writing in a way I never expected. Creating worlds where the imagination can come to life is exciting!

ABOUT MY WRITING: My intent is to create stories within a fandom that stay in character and rhythm with the original work. I am not one to easily buy into the idea that changing cannon or history of a TV show or book makes it more interesting. I like to try to build on what was good about the show, a particular couple, or group of characters and create something that appeals to that fandom within the context of the original work. That being said, I have recently found myself pondering the idea of creating one or more stories that might fall a bit into the category of altered reality—where the circumstances surrounding characters and history might come together differently than the original cannon. Who knows? Maybe I'm growing in my creative sense. That being said, however, even in altered reality I don't see a need to change the personality or characterization of the main characters I want to write for. I refuse to write main characters in ways that represent them as unrecognizable to the original character they are supposed to represent.

WHY I WRITE: First and foremost, I write for personal enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment. My pleasure is found in building the story and pulling together the characters, atmosphere, and plot in a way that feels compelling and entertaining. I welcome feedback and hope that my readers enjoy the content, but my first reason for selecting any topic or story idea is purely because the concept feels entertaining to me. That being said, I don't deny that I feed off of positive energy. Good feedback will generally inspire me to work harder at my current project.

MY FEELINGS ABOUT REVIEWS: I feel like reviews on this site tend to skew depending on the community. Some communities I follow like to give a lot of love for gratuitous things rather than give an honest reflection of the story. I view signed reviews with much more clout than unsigned reviews. Rude or vicious reviews are just plain mean and I don't have any tolerance for that behavior. I welcome honest criticism and encouragement — and I LOVE to hear from those who like my work. If you like it, tell me why or what you like about it rather than just that you like it. If I take the time to review someone's work it is because I want to share honest feedback, and I try to offer it in as positive a light as possible.

MY FAVORITE TV SHOWS (in no particular order): This Is Us, Once Upon A Time (prior to season 7), Fixer Upper, NCIS (yes, even after losing Zeva & Tony), ER, Friends, The West Wing, How I Met Your Mother, House MD, Quantum Leap, Hart To Hart, As The World Turns ...so many others, but these are the ones that stick out in my memory.
