![]() Dia duit! (That's Irish for 'hello'. Well, actually, it directly translates to 'God with you', but it's the most common greeting used by far. And the response is 'Dia is Muire duit': 'God and Mary with you'. Ah, us Irish. So determinedly Catholic.) My name is Laura and I'm fourteen. I live in Ireland. (And no. We do NOT say 'Top o' the morning!', or 'To be sure, to be sure.' Just no.) We speak English here (in the majority of areas) and, no, we do not speak "Gaelic", we speak Irish, and most of us are pretty crap at it. Sorry. I just really, REALLY hate Irish stereotypes. My main interests are music, reading, writing and art. I play flute, guitar, low whistle, piano and tin whistle (but I hate the last two). I like writing, and reading, and would probably spend 85% of my life on FanFiction.net if I was allowed. Random fact about me #1: I like making fascinators. Y'know those fancy hat things that people wear at weddings. (Apologies to anyone who feels I insulted their intelligence by explaining what fascinators are.) I am Catholic, just so you know, but I think the Bible has a lot of crap in it. I think that it's grand for people to be gay. Just because I'm straight doesn't mean I think everyone else has to be the same way. Everyone deserves to love whoever they want and be loved. Live and let live, I say. And I think all that fire and brimstone stuff is nonsense. As long as you try to be a good person, treat others as you'd like to be treated, repent when you do bad stuff and forgive others, then I thinking you're doing pretty well :) Also, I think Buddhism is pretty cool. I am obsessed with Les Mis and I think my obsession is bordering on unhealthy... Being able to sing it from start to finish is one of the things I'm proudest of. Colm Wilkinson is my favourite Valjean because he's awesome (and Irish!). Although I have to say, I saw the show in the West End in July and the current cast (for 2013) is AMAZING. I joined the Enjolnine ship as soon as I joined this site. Let our ship sail on forever!!! (And maybe we could hire some pirates so we can attack the other ships and force them to convert?! Mwuahhahha!!!) May the Mèponine ship suffer a fate identical to the Titanic's!! Heh heh. Ok, I'm sorry. Each to their own ship. (*Whispers* ENJOLNINE FOREVER!) An Important Note on Derek-the-Whistle-Boy: So, in the 2012 LM movie, there is an unnamed student on the barricade that whistles at the dawn of the second day, alerting the barricade to the oncoming soldiers and this giving them some precious minutes. We think he deserves more. So, we have named him Derek. If you think Derek deserves more recognition for saving the barricade, copy and paste this onto your profile. I stole that from RainWillMakeTheFlowersGrow's profile. I hope they don't mind. It's very important. Please spread Derek awareness. When I find really awesome fanfic writers, I will promote them on my profile, because I like sharing stuff I enjoy with others. I'm not affiliated with any of these writers, I don't even know them (and no, don't think that I am trying to promote other accounts I have on this site, this is the only account I have on this site). So my first featured writer is: The aforementioned RainWillMakeTheFlowersGrow!!! I think actually they are a pair of writers working from the one account. Seriously check out their stuff, a lot of it is really funny. My second featured writer is: Caderyn!!! She has a brilliant story called One Inch. A must-read for Enjolnine shippers. And hey, even if you don't ship Enjolnine, read it anyway! I hope none of the writers I've mentioned here mind me promoting them on my profile. My motivations for doing this are simply to get more readers for these amazing writers and I want everyone do be able to appreciate these guys' stunning talent and wonderful stories. If I've mentioned you here, and you want me to remove your username from this promotion space, then just PM me to let me know and I'll take it out of my profile. Random fact about me #2: I can wiggle my eyebrows like those kids on that Cadbury's ad. Look it up if you don't know what I'm talking about. I'm a huge fan of PJO and I'm a massive Percabeth shipper. (Who isn't?) I strongly dislike Rachepercy (or Percachel, whatever) pairings. I adore Leo. He is so awesome and adorable. Can't wait for House of Hades! Rick Riordan said that Percy and Annabeth are alive in Tartarus, *sigh of relief, and he also said that the US cover showed a nice Percabeth moment. Eeeeekk!!!! “Annabeth glared at me like she was going to punch me. And then she did something that surprised me even more. She kissed me. “Be careful, Seaweed Brain.” She put on her hat and vanished. I probably would’ve sat there for the rest of the day, staring at the lava and trying to remember what my name was, but the sea demons jarred me back to reality.” "The Battle of the Labrinth", Rick Riordan. Ha ha, I loved that moment so much. :) Random fact about me #3: My uncle owns a llama. How awesome is that? It's called Big Lesha and it guards his sheep. OH MY GOD I HAVE JUST FOUND 'FATHER TED' FANFICS!!!!!!!!!!! I like The Hunger Games but to be honest I thought the end of Mockingjay was kind of...meh. Like Katniss is just like 'Well Gale has run off to the Capitol and nearly everyone I know is dead so I'll just go back on the promise I made myself years ago and marry Peeta for the hell of it and have kids with him and watch them merrily frolic on the graves of my sister and many others I cared about". Random fact about me #4: I once got in trouble with my Business Studies teacher for humming 'Le Cygne' by Saint-Saens in class. And I got said teacher a signed picture of Daniel O'Donnell. Don't ask me why, it'll take too long to explain. I am the girl that doesn't go to school dances, or games, and when I do go, I sit in a corner and read a book. I am the girl that people look through when I say something. I am the girl that spends most of her free time reading, writing, or doing other activities that most teenagers wouldn't call normal. I am the girl that people call weird and a freak either behind my back or to my face. I am the girl that doesn't spend all her time on MySpace, or talking to a girlfriend on a cell phone or regular phone. I am the girl that hasn't been asked out in a year. I am the girl that has stopped to smell the flowers and jump and splash in the rain. BUT I am also the girl who knows and is proud to be who she is, doesn’t care if people call her weird (it's a compliment), who loves reading and writing and doing the things that no one seems to have the time to do any more, who loves and is obsessed with Percy Jackson, who can express herself better with words than actions, who doesn't need a guy to complete her, and knows the importance of the little things. Copy and paste this onto your account, and add your name to the list, if you are anything like me, so the girls who are different and unique can know in their weakest time that they are unique but not alone: Iheartjake, TeamJacob101, Boysareadrag, The Dawn Is Breaking, twilite addict, ihatejacob1, Blondejoke101 MyBFCanSparkle, Rockyrocks919 xXxDaughterofAthenaxXx, daughterofhades5565,darkangelxx22xx,Thalia101,Aguilita Cruz,EmilyJackson-Hero, Goddess of Myths, Hunter Of Artemis 101, lunalovegoodfan7 Random fact about me #5: I adore classical music and would much rather listen to Pavarotti than One Direction. 1F Y0U C4N UND3R574ND 7H15 M355463 C0PY 17 4ND P4573 17 1N70 Y0UR PR0F1L3 Olny fteefin prenect of poelpe can raed this. If you do not even believe it is possible to read that little, copy and paste this to your profile. If you've ever burst out laughing in a quiet room, copy this into your profile If you have ever just wanted to SLAP someone, copy this onto your profile. Random fact about me #6: When I was eight, I slapped my brother's friend really hard on the face because we were at a cookery camp and he stole my lunchbox. If you think Edward Cullen is a creepy stalker, copy and paste this onto your profile. If you read people's profiles looking for things to copy and paste into your profile, copy and paste this into your profile. |
