![]() Oh, where to begin. I love writing! It has been over four years since I have felt confidant enough to put ideas down on a tangible source. Having gone through a few rough life patches, all creative sirens and inspiration was drained from my system. When I wanted to write, nothing came out, which in turn made me depressed and continued to further block any spark of creativity. I met my husband in May of 2011 (married in 2014) and he has been one person who has not doubted me. I went (and am still going through) a True Blood (book and show) obsession and he came to me one day and told me to write about Eric. *Insert crazy look directed towards husband, but he was completely serious. I toyed with the idea for weeks until one day my sister (a whole 15 years old, I on the other hand am in my late 20's) came to me and asked me proof read her manuscript. I was shocked at her confidence and between her and my husband, I began to take Charlaine Harris's Eric and put him into my own story (Godric's Lover). The more I read her manuscript the more I felt that I could do this, I could write again. I told my sister that I was getting back into writing. We had a long dialogue about writing and she finally told me she wanted to read it when I was done. I got so excited that I began tossing plot points off of my husband (who feels Godric should have a longer life in the show). He totally got into it with me and proof reads my chapters to make sure the story follows smoothly. I have enjoyed borrowing these characters to help get me back into the swing of writing (Except for Sadie, "she is mine"). If you are still reading, I thank you for taking the time to read this quick and crazy bio as I venture back out into the world of writing. On a personal note, I share my home with my husband, our pug, terrier mix, black cat, chinchilla, and fish. I have my masters in education and am a certified middle and high school teacher. I am also a certified scuba diver and photography amateur. Peace, JFlan |
