I am unoriginal and that is why I write fanfiction and not novels. But with what I got, I can be quite creative... modest is hottest.

I'm kindda taking one story for a test drive. Its a Clopin fanfiction, from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Of all the stories to start with. But that is my obsession right now and I am bored so why not try it. I don't think many people will read if and if not I'll just stop, but I just want a little feed back. Maybe I'll try out some other crap I have or just give up. I don't wanna get too into this is no one likes it. As long as I can pass the time.

About my testing story; Heaven's Light.

Its a working title. I a trying to make it sound professional and fit in with the time period. Have people say Bonjour instead of whats crackin' homie or even 'hi.' I know no french, so bare with me.

I was told a Mary Sue for this kind of story would be a gypsy who just came to Paris. So I went with the Itailan middle class girl who lived there 7 years ago. However I feel that the fact she is the daughter of a gaurd and a family against gypsies a total cliche and gives it a major Romeo and Juliet complex which I hate and think Shakespeare should sue. But it adds to the plot. Naturally as well I refuse to make it love at first sight. I also wanted her to not be very pretty but the way I imagin her, she is. So I would like to asume the reason she isn't lusted after is because she is rather unusual with her love for the arts, hanging with Pierre Gringore, dressing like a boy, and looking forigen which the most Itailan genes.

I mix in bits from all versions of The Hunchback of Notre Dame from the book to all 7 movies. However it is mostly the Disney version because I am rather attracted to Clopin's fun character. But he is very protective of his people and violent and homicidal like in several of the movies. He holds a grudge against non gypsies like in the movies, but really never acts unless provoked. I try to picture him not as... well, disney looking for my version. Maybe a little brawnier and a stronger more fuller face but still have that same silliness and still be a passonate protective vengful leader and a total romanic. Not entierly sure if I want to have it around the same time as the actual story though. I would like to have the Feast of Fools the same, but the story takes place over a few days in that and I rather have mine be longer, but end around the same time as in the movie. I may just tweak it and stretch it out more.

The time period of the actual story is set in the Renaisansse, when art was actually supported. But most portrals of Frollo have been him trying to keep things they way they are, so i like to assume that art hasn;t quite gotten to paris yet. Also it started in Italy, so you would think her parents were into art, but I'd like to think that this is at the beginning of the Renisanse, that and her parents lived the Tuscany which was the country and slow to get up to date.
