Hey, I'm Lily. (no, not Lily Potter, though I wish)

I'm fifteen, and live in New Jersey, USA

Side Note: Most of the USA and probably some other countries in the world regard New Jersey as the scum of the USA. This makes sense, if all you see and hear of NJ is "Jersey Shore" and the fact that it has the most highways per sq. mile of any state in the country... But it's really not all that bad. There are some, small, good things, like the actual beach and the horse farms. Just thought I'd let you know.

My favorite books include: Harry Potter, Harry Potter, and Harry Potter. (well, and other things like the Darkest Powers series, The Time Traveler's Wife, Romeo and Juliet, Winnie the Pooh and the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson, The Hunger Games, to Kill a Mockingbird, Waiting for the Rain, Bloom, Can You Keep A Secret, Normal People Don't Live Like This etc...) But mostly Harry Potter. In fact, I would have more favorite books added to that list, but recently, I've spent so much of my time reading fanfiction that I have had very little opportunity to read anything else. Lol

Side Note: I will admit that when I first read them, I had a brief obsession with Twilight. *face reddens, eyes avert* It quickly ended after I saw the movies and re-read the books again. They really are quite terrible.

Other things I like to do for anyone who is interested: I love writing. (shocker) and swimming and acting, talking, and just being weird with my friends. We do this constantly. That's how it should be in my opinion. My favorite subjects I'm taking, (I don't have many options being a Sophmore ) are History, English (shocker) and AP Art History.

I like music, though I'm not obsessed with it, and I'm not one of those awesome people who knows all those cool bands that no one's heard of except other awesome people who know cool bands no one's heard of. (That was a mouth full) I'll listen to pretty much anything.. But I'm not a heavy metal or screamo fan. It just doesn't appeal to me.

As for fanfiction: I really only read Harry Potter. I've tried other things but the writing quality for other books seems to be lacking greatly. Especially for twilight. (What does this say about Harry Potter readers? Hmmmmm...)

I read almost all James and Lily stuff.. (I started that cuz my name's Lily and my friends told me I MUST marry someone names James and name our kid Harry. I took to this idea and now every time I meet someone named James I developed an immediate crush on them. This is a dilemma because the only people I've met recently named James have been two ugly guys, one gay guy, and one really hot guy who was 23. sigh) Lily and James stuff is really fun and if I just picture myself as Lily Evans I become very happy. :)

You all are probably shaking your heads at how pathetic I am... But I'll hold my head up high. Or not... but I'll try.. and just think to myself that everyone does stuff like picture marrying a fictional character.. *laughs in a high pitched nervous voice*

At least my name on facebook is not Lily Cullen or Lily Bieber... Ok.. I'm ranting, I'll stop

I read other stuff of course, but I'm very picky in that it HAS to be canon. (Unless someone can write one not canon in a way that it explains how it could work perfectly with the actual series.)

Therefore: I hate any pairing like:

Hermione with Snape, Draco or Harry. Harry and her are like siblings, Draco thinks she's scum, and Snape... just no! I will admit that Ron is a rather hard character to write about in a romantic way.. but if your a good writer, you should make it work.

I also hate Remus/Sirius slash. I have read one or two that are very well written, but it still doesn't appeal to me.

On my account, I used to have the beginning of one story about Regulus, and two one-shots about Lily and James. I put them up like a year ago, got no reviews and in re-reading them, realized they had much to be desired to say the least.

I have a few stories that I'm working on right now.

The first is one of those ones that are describing the Harry Potter characters in a certain number of words. I decided to cheat a little and just do 10 words or less. It's really rather fun and I have about forty of them..

Another one is about Dudley's daughter who turns out to be a witch... It's pretty much a comedy with a wee bit of drama and romance.. I'm not really sure yet, I haven't done much of it and I don't want to post any that I have yet because I feel like I'll never update and I hate when people do that.

P.S. I have quite a few reviews for my 10 word or less story.. but none for my little two-shot about Filch.. I understand that no one wants to read about him... And this story's not my best.. wow I'm doing a good job at promoting this one... *sigh* basically, if you wanna give it a go... ;)
