![]() Author has written 2 stories for Silent Hill. I currently have two unfinished stories posted on this website, "My Name Is Maria" and my Homecoming rewrite. I have no plans or intentions of finishing them and I'm only leaving them posted for those who may have enjoyed them, even if they're incomplete. There is a possibility I may finish "My Name Is Maria" at some point as it's actually a very short story and there's maybe only two or three chapters left, though I'd probably rewrite the chapters that are already posted (except for the first recap chapter. I actually like that one quite a bit). The Homecoming rewrite, on the other hand, is definitely not going to be finished. If I were to continue it, I'd want to go all the way back to the beginning and start over. I'd more or less be writing a completely new story rather than simply finishing it, and I unfortunately lost interest in that story a while ago. For a while I had been planning on returning with a new version of the first story I ever posted on here (and removed before it was finished), but I ended up scraping it because it was too derivative of Silent Hill 2. But then "Silent Hills" was announced ... and cancelled. To deal with my disappointment, I decided I would write one last Silent Hill Fanfic. Given my very bad habit of starting stories and never finishing them, I decided I wouldn't start posting anything until the whole story was finished. While I haven't met the Halloween deadline I'd previously set for myself (I'm currently back in college seeking a degree in Mechanical Engineering, so free time is a bit of a luxury at the moment), I have completed an outline and am currently working on the first few chapters. I'm not setting anymore deadlines. It'll be done when it's done, then I'll publish it. The story will basically be "The Bitter Season" rewrite, but it's gone through so many changes that the new version has almost no resemblance to the first one, to the point that the main protagonist is a woman now, and the war veteran aspect isn't the main focus of the story. And another reason that I won't be finishing the Homecoming rewrite is that some of the ideas I was going to use in that story will be in the new one. |
