My name is Frederick Estlin Grace.

I'm eighteen years old, and sometimes I just can't help myself - I'll be reading quite happily, when a feeling of absurdity strikes. The characters pick themselves up off the page and dance their way into my head. For the next few days I am reduced to nothing but a vessel by which they travel, making plays, acting out alternatives, racing down each and every path until finally a new story is built out of the dream-like scenes that come to life every time I close my eyes, every time I get on a bus, or listen to music, or stand outside with a cigarette in my hand.

I hope the original authors can forgive this shameless theft, but really, isn't that why we're all here? To see what might have happened? The most powerful question in history, is it not? 'What if?'

I hope you enjoy what I've written and forgive the earlier pieces. I was a child when I wrote a majority of the fiction I've published on here. I don't know what order they happened in - only that Mnemosyne was first. Then Seyella its sequel. It might have been The Mirror next (my longest at that stage I believe) but it equally could have been Spilt Ink. Somewhere The Doorway happens, and then we reach Rogue. My longest fiction and I must confess, something for which I am ashamed - the hiatus. It has been years. I just never finished it - and began a Draco/Harry AU called Apocathery instead. I guess there's no fighting with the muse, but really. Inexcusable. So forgive me and I'll endeavor to finish those two outliers before the month is out.
