![]() Hi, there, fanfiction world. Here is where I will talk about my obsessions, myself, and other random things. It didn't take me long to come up with the name Toxic Slash, simply because everything I write mostly ends up being slash. I have probably started at least 200 fics since I actually started writing fanfiction in sixth grade. (Note that the key word there was started). Since then, I have only completed two. One of them is long gone on a file from my old computer that is probably not in existence anymore, and the other is a short first chapter to a fic I am contemplating on continueing. I start so many of them and they never get finished! I think that says something about my personality... Also, this is the first time I have actually posted my work anywhere. I'm quite nervous as to what people will think of my work. So please be nice to me! Constructive criticism is very much appreciated! Fandoms: Harry Potter, Gravitation, Death Note and InuYasha. Harry Potter. Goodness, where do I begin? I think that without Harry Potter I would not be sane. I grew up in a difficult situation and Harry Potter has been my escape and my life since I picked up The Sorcerer's Stone. It holds an extremely special place in my heart where no person, place or thing can ever, ever replace it. Somewhere in close proximity to Harry Potter is the anime/manga series known as Gravitation, created by Maki Murakami. Here's a summary for those of you who don't know about it: It's about a teenage boy named Shuichi Shindou, who idolizes the lead singer of his favorite band Nittle Grasper. Inspired, him and his best friend Hiroshi Nakano start their own band, known as Bad Luck. With Shuichi writing vocals and music, playing the synth and keyboards, and singing while Hiroshi rocks out on his guitar, Bad Luck manages to get lucky with the big music business NG Studios. Meanwhile, Shuichi is at a park at nighttime when suddenly, his lyrics to the song Glaring Dream blow away. Shuichi, being the idiot that he is, is about to wildly chase after them when he notices the silhouette of a tall, slim man clad in a suit and a cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth. He bends down and picks the lyrics up, glancing at them before making his way over to Shuichi. He asks Shuichi if he wrote the lyrics, and shocked, Shuichi replies with a timid 'Yes.' The man then proceeds to tell Shuichi how much his writing sucks, and how he should give up at writing. He walks away and leaves a crushed Shuichi there to drown in misery. Later, Shuichi finds out that the beautiful blonde haired man he had run into in the park that night is the famous award-winning romance novelist Eiri Yuki. Shuichi is then determined to prove to Yuki that he can write good lyrics, and in the process Shuichi ends up falling hard for him. But Eiri Yuki is a cold hearted, mysterious man with dark secrets to a disturbing past. Shuichi and Yuki end up together in a troubled relationship. Can they make it together? Find out and read Gravitation, the amazing manga and anime. I've seen every episode, and read every manga... I even read all of the remixes and megamixes (giggles). This is another series that holds a special place in my heart, and though its not anything that I love just as much as Harry Potter, its almost right up there with it. Death Note is about a guy named Light Yagami who finds a notebook that you can kill people with just by writing down their name. He then proceeds to rid the world of evil, and the police and other people with the death note become involved in the process. It's a fantastic story, and though I haven't read every manga and seen every episode, I love it enough for it to qualify as one of my obsessions. Everyone knows about InuYasha. I highly doubt I have to explain myself there. Yes, I realize nearly the entire anime is filler, filler and more filler, but it is an outstanding story. Just because it got old, people bash out InuYasha, when really it is a sort of starting point for the more popular anime series of now that everyone is typically obsessed with just because everyone else likes it. Even though it is sort of old school, it's the first anime I ever became truly obsessed with and I love it dearly. WHEW. Glad I got that all out of the way. Now I can talk about me! Real name: Christina Marie Birthday: January 15th Hair Color: ...well right now it's a dark red. Eye Color: Hazel. And I wear glasses. Go me. Height: 4'11". Shut up. I know I'm short. Clothing Style: Ehhh, I wear t-shirts, jeans, whatever is comfortable. I also almost always wear my Dumbledore's Army hoodie, just because it's so awesome. Favorite Food: greek. Drink: Iced tea, hot tea, anything that's tea, basically... TV Show(s): Queer As Folk, Family Guy, Law and Order: SVU, and CSI Movie(s): Transformers, Hairspray, The Producers, Young Frankenstein... so many more I can't think of Play I've Been In: Hmm. Probably Showtime For Oscar or the stage version of The Hobbit. Color: Black and Purple Band(s): Disturbed, Metallica, System of a Down, Bad Luck and Nittle Grasper Favorite Pairings: HP: Sirius/Remus, Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione, Harry/Draco, Harry/Ron, Sirius/James, Snape/Lily... Gravi: Shu/Yuki, Hiro/Fujisaki, Tohma/Sakano, K/Hiro, Hiro/Shu, Tohma/Yuki...DN: Light/L!!!! Inu: Inu/Kagome, Miroku/Sango, Inu/Miroku, Inu/Kikyo (only BEFORE they killed each other because of Naraku!) Pairings I hate: HP: OMG I cannot describe the hatred for Harmony (Harry/Hermione). It is ridiculous. Its like Ron paired with Ginny, for God's sake. Harry and Hermione have NO FEELINGS FOR EACH OTHER other than it being brother/sisterly. Especially seeing as the 7th book is factual PROOF. Get it? Got it? Good. Snarry (Snape/Harry) makes me flinch, but the only real reason I can tolerate it is because I could see it happen, purely because its slash. Even though it's in the books, I absolutely hate Remus/Tonks. I hate it. Because truly in my mind Sirius and Remus belong together. If you want factual proof, private message me and we can have this debate at a later time. I don't like anyone paired with Yuki aside from Shuichi or Tohma in Gravitation because those are the only two that make sense. Light and L are perfect, and its very obvious that they love each other even though Light is a complete lunatic. InuYasha and Kikyo do not belong together after Kagome shows up, because InuYasha and Kikyo's relationship ended when Naraku was all like "Grrr, Ima make you kill each other, bwahahaha" so if the pairing of Inu/Kikyo is after that it makes me very angry. Okie dokie! If you want to talk to me more, don't be afraid to visit my myspace or private message me! I'll try to write as much fanfiction as I can! ~Toxic Slash |
