About me: I am 25 years old, have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology that I'm using only on the people around me, and I am a total grammar nazi. I first got into anime when I was 14 and my next door neighbor introduced me to Ranma 1/2. Unfortunately, she was my only link to that world, and she graduated and moved away shortly after. I didn't have much access through the rest of high school, but when I got to college, I watched what was on Cartoon Network (what else are you supposed to do when you're away at school?). After I started working, I started buying manga in a big way. My brother and I share several series now, despite him being away at school. And by share, I mean that I pay for it, he claims it as his, and we both read it. I also have a couple of series that are "mine". Who they belong to is generally determined by who buys the first book, and he had more time to go shopping...

Anyway, I've been reading fanfiction for several years now, but I just never quite got around to writing. Whenever I start reading a new series, I'm generally all for the cannon couple, but then I deviate. In general, I prefer non-cannon pairings. I guess I feel that cannon is what is, and fanfiction is for what could be.

My series: The main series that I read fanfiction for are Naruto, Rurouni Kenshin, and InuYasha. In general, I like the pairings based on the female - Sakura, Kaoru and Kagome. I really love crossovers, especially InuYasha/Yu Yu Hakusho ones, and I've recently discovered InuYasha/Bleach stories, too. Occasionally I read FullMetal Alchemist, because I love the Roy/Riza pairing.

My Story: "Tae Knows Best?" was actually written for the Aoshi/Kaoru Yahoo!group writing challenge, so I decided to take the opportunity to actually write instead of just read. Hopefully, this will give me the kick in the pants that I need to write all the stories running through my head!
