One minor change can bear life and death to many, and perhaps Jay Gatsby outruns his treacherous fate. There are plenty of flowers in the garden, after all.

I'm writing a story that reimagines and modernizes The Great Gatsby while still keeping the basic story elements. I hope to write more additions to this story with each chapter focusing on a main character's viewpoint.

Josefina DeLuca, a young woman working in East Egg of a Nick Carraway at her late night job at a speakeasy. With two jobs that barely keep her from returning home to Louisiana and a number of failed attempts of gaining the stardom she's always wanted, life has gone from living to simply existing. That is, until Nick invites her to the party hosted by the familiar name of Gatsby.

Even if she was the one who saved him, his reputation and his fortune, he only had eyes for another woman.
