So I go by the name of Julius L. J. King, I am 26 years old with a BA in Social Work. As far as my education is concerned, I am in search of my Doctorate in Psychology. It is an ongoing process. Childhood: I was raised mostly by my mother who struggled to raise a child born with Albinism- a lack of skin pigmentation which causes white, blonde or red hair, white skin, red eyes, and low vision. Albinos vary case by case. Some of us are very attractive and some scary. I moved around more than nine times before I became a legal adult. As I recall I have spent every year with a different family from eight to eighteen. Eight was also the age that my mother became ill and my ended up in the hands of my pedophile uncle. At seventeen I became a Christian Minister with a desire to understand the human condition, mind, will and emotions. By the age of nineteen, I was experimenting with homosexually, (a term that followed me through life.) I identified myself as a gay man at twenty-five years old. Stories: I have always felt connected to people and believe that my stories combine my life experiences and lessons to help others understand and grow from their own situations. In a sense, writing is my therapy. And as an aspiring psychologist, it serves to be my therapy sessions to others. All of my books, while fiction, have some connection to my actual life. As a researcher and writer, I go where very few will and come back with a conclusion to a topic many are afraid to even think about. I am raw, real, edgy, and offensive. As you travel down this road with me; I ask you to share your objectivity with me. I hope as well as pray that my brief history can serve as a backdrop for my stories. |
