Tony Stark offers an internship to Peter Parker, a teenager with a secret he is determined to uncover. Peter accepts. It turns out to be a mistake, for both parties involved, as Tony's hunt for the masked vigilante roaming Peter's home turns personal, and Peter's determination to keep his secret only brings danger closer to both of them.

The first time he hit a roadblock with the Avengers was not when Doc Ock attacked a bank, or a supervillain stalked Aunt May, or his full name came out. It was when Clint Barton offered him a drink. ...or, a Homecoming AU where young Peter Parker handles the Vulture without Iron Man, lies to the Avengers about his age, and gets away with it. For a time.

Essentially, none of the Avengers honestly believe Peter when he tells them that no, he really isn't anorexic and to trust him-he's just very busy and doesn't have the spare time or money to eat enough, it's most certainly not on purpose and they most definitely do not need to kick him off the team because of it.

Peter Parker is just a kid—he's goddamn fifteen years old. Tony knows that—or, he should at least know that. But sometimes, Tony, even Peter himself, forgets that one tiny little fact. Or, in which Peter decides to take the whole world's burden onto himself, when he really, really doesn't have to.

The world tears itself apart trying to right the things that have gone wrong, and Peter falls—for the sake of Tony.
