An AU set on the birthday weekend. How did it come to this? What would have provoked Kate to lash out like that? Why was it so hard for Caroline to book a double room? It made me ponder what the back story could be...and...how would I have resolved the weekend?

AU: Maura Isles is a US medical officer in Afghanistan. While there, she briefly encounters a soldier in desperate need of medical attention. When Maura returns to Boston as a civilian again, the soldier is constantly on her mind, but she resigns herself to never seeing her again. But who does she bump into on Hero's Night, but the very woman on her mind, Lieutenant Jane Rizzoli?

Multi-chapter AU that starts right before Jane and Maura start working together. Maura has just moved to Boston to take the Chief Medical Examiner job with her ten year old son. With some help from Maura's son, Jane and Maura meet and start to get to know each other. Their relationship grows from there. Chapter 35 posted.

Maura has a one-night stand with unforeseen results. Lots of fluff, a little bit of smut somewhere along the way and a grain of angst to keep things interesting. These character's of Sally Wainwright have captured my imagination. I've never wanted a good book to end - or an exceptional Series such as Last Tango in Halifax. So I'm experimenting with taking them beyond the storyline while attempting to stay true to what Sally has given us to this point, the end of season 2.
