What You Want to Know About Me

-You can call me Kathryn, or Katty (like how you would pronounce 'golf caddy')

-I am a native of The Windy City but moved to the Gulf Coast for school

-I am an avid outdoors woman, usually spend most of my summers in tents whilst completing extensive kayak trips or cycling cross-country, or working for adventure travel companies

-My photography teacher once told me "I cannot see you being happy unless you are in some sort of danger". He is completely right

-I am technically an open-water swimmer and a freediver (open-water diving with no air tanks) with a lung capacity of three minutes, but I don't swim or dive competitively. I use these skills to help me study (I moved to the Gulf Coast for a reason)

-I was a sabre fencer for my high school team

-I am addicted to darkroom photography and wheel throwing, I throw as often as I can

-I don't react to poison ivy, poison oak, stinging nettle, bee stings, wasp stings, or mosquito bites, but mosquitos stay away from me anyways (my co-workers are pretty jealous of this!)

-It is extremely rare for me to bruise, and if I do, they turn into scars. The doctors have no answers

-I had an eidetic memory until I was eight (I didn't learn to read until I was eight due to my dyslexia)

-I am an introvert with a Type-A personality (I am a living contradiction)

-I am a very strong lucid dreamer, having an average of three a week

-I am a walking, talking fact book. It is mostly random trivia that is only useful when I want to annoy my friends, impress/ freak out people, or if I end up on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire

-I am an animal and environmental activist, spending two years helping conduct research for shark conservation, and spending every waking moment of my primary school years learning how to help save the big cats

-Once I graduate college, I hope to work with National Geographic or join another organization as a field researcher/ conservationist
