That sun ray has raced to us
at those millions of miles an hour.
But when it reaches the floor of the room
it creeps slower than a philosopher,
it makes a bright puddle
that alters like an amoeba,
it climbs the door
as though it were afraid it would fall.

In a few minutes it'll make this page
an assulting dazzle. I'll pull a curtain
sideways. I'll snip
a few yards off those millions of miles
and, tailor of the universe, sit quietly
stitching my few ragged days together.

Hello dear readers,

I'm sorry that the pace of my writing has slowed so much it's almost moving backwards. I have a job now and it's sapping all the life out of me. I will still try my best to finish all the stories that I have, but it may not be for years yet.

Hope you all never reach this state of exhaustion and misery! Treasure each and every moment you have before your working adult life starts. If you're working -- then I commiserate with you, fellow rat-race rodent. Be strong.
