I stick to Harry Potter fanfiction. I remember reading the first book when I was 10, about to turn 11. It was...magical.

I love reading in general, but there's something special about revisiting the series. It's like catching up with old friends. I'm not much of a writer (outside of essays), so I stick with reading. I've read too many to count. I usually stick to the ones that are several hundreds of thousands of words (I like the ones longer than the actual books). It gives me a chance to be part of the world a little longer, I suppose. Grammatical errors lose me, I can't stand them. But my favorite stories? I'll read them again and again, just like the originals.

Outside of the world of reading, I lead what I consider a rather dull life, but others always act like it's something special. I grew up on the East Coast, lived briefly on the West Coast and have now settled into the deep south. My trade? Disasters. I spent a while responding to disasters with AmeriCorps, briefly with FEMA and now I'm with the Red Cross in New Orleans, Louisiana.
