Hello, people of earth and beyond, rulers of cheese and lemonade stands, my lovely name is Amanda, or as some people call me, Mandy, or maybe sometimes Amanda Panda. But only my girlfriend and a very few of my closest, bestest friends are allowed to call me that. Oh, and don't call me Mandy Moore, only my girl has perrmission to do that, when we're...well...wrestling...naked... (hehe).

Anyways, my absolute FAV show in the entire TV world is CSI, the Las Vegas one, not crappy, over-exagerated, blow-up scene every five minutes CSI: miami. No offenses to the entire CSI: miami fan club thing you got goin on with, what, 100 or so members? But anyways, CSI Miami is crap with fancy cars. The show is marked by painful one-liners delivered by stiff actors complete with choppy editing and slick (useless) special effects. I watched probably only 3-4 episodes, and that's waaay enough for me. Even though I don't watch the show anymore, I still bitch about it every time I see a promo of the show. this show is a PAIN. The cheesy lines, the extensive liberty with probability, the painful overuse of special effects to drag a 40 minute show out to an hour...
I don't really understand why people like this show. Emily Procter's little smirk that she has for every emotion drives me insane. Eva LaRue doesn't look remotely like a police officer, and David Caruso comes off as a smug camera hog.

But I digress. I love CSI. Not only CSI, but about any crime investigation show. I used to think that it was the suspense of trying to find out "who dun it", but that is not it...it is the motive. I absolutely love finding out about how people behave and why. I often ask myself if I could behave the same way (good or bad), and what prevents certain behaviors. When a small amount of greed becomes bigger and leads to murder...when someone feels horribly betrayed and wants to seek revenge...when someone can't live with reality and starts living a lie. These kind of things intrigue me.

And I also do love me some Law and Order. My sinbings and others hard to believe are related to me think the show is dull and lifeless, but I believe that its just telling it like it is, a raw and uncut crime drama filled with suspence, and pure crime.
