Well, let me start this by introducing myself. My name is Michelle and I've been a fan of fanfiction since 1985. But, back in the 80's when I was trapped in study hall, who knew that when I came up with a time-killer of writing a story about my favorite band, Duran Duran (still love 'em), that I was stepping into a whole new world? At that time, I never heard of the words: fanfiction, much less knew that they even existed. Lo and behold, when I joined the rest of the world and got my first computer in 1999, I stumbled across a website dedicated to Duranfiction (Lovely Blue Planet of There). From there, I was eternally hooked. Who knew that others were out there in the world, writing stories about their favorite shows, movies, and yes, even favorite band.

Now the biggest problem that I seem to be having is the constant act of "trying" to start a story, but not ever being able to finish it. Hopefully, as I read more fanfics here, they'll inspire me to actually finish one. My beta for the past few years, has even threatened to come to my house and actually remove my "delete" button. Oh, the horror. Hmm...maybe that'll actually force me to finish a story. Might have to let her try that.

As I come here on a near daily basis, I'm feeding my obsession for "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" fanfics. Especially those that are geared towards Elliot/Olivia. And there are tons of very talented writers out there, who make me jealous that they can write so beautiful. One would think after reading fanfics for these past few years, that I might've picked up on something.

I'm still writing EO fics, but am still trying to get the uberXena story that's been rattling around in my head for the last ten years down on paper (Word is more accurate). Maybe one day I can actually get it written.
