![]() Author has written 8 stories for Meet the Robinsons, and RENT. Hello there. You can call me Shiri. I'm a college student studying nursing and special education. I have a learning disability regarding reading and writing, (that doesn't make me stupid). If you have trouble reading something I wrote, please alert me via PM or review, so I can fix it. A lot of my stories might be depressing. My 15 y/o little sister died in October 2007 of a genetic illness she was born with. Nothing and no one has had a greater impact on my life than my sister. I also tend to write about people with disabilities a lot, because they've been and are such a huge part of my life (not just my sister). I don't mention this people to feel sorry for me, but for understanding. Also, please don't use the word "retard" or any of it's variants (except when specifically referring to someone with "mental retardation" as that is an actual diagnosis, but it is not used as a noun in that respect). It's offensive to people who are mentally challenged and their friends and families. Coming up: The end of Dating Advice Favorites: Books: Anything by Fannie Flagg, some stuff by Chuck Palahniuk, Harry Potter, Steinbeck, Jane Austen, Dumas, Murakami and a bunch of stuff I can't remember right now. I am also just now realizing how much nonfiction I read. Movies: MTR (duh); Shaun of the Dead; Hot Fuzz; Schindler's List; The Pianist; 25th Hour; The Illusionist; The Shawshank Redemption; Pirates of the Carribean 1; Fight Club; Crash; Castaway; Nightmare Before Christmas; Monsters Inc; Wall•E; Love, Actually; I am Sam; Forest Gump; Saving Private Ryan; the new Star Trek and Watchmen. Musical/Plays: RENT; Tick, Tick...Boom; Ragtime; Once on this Island; pretty much anything by Sondheim, Cole Porter, Rogers & Hammerstein, Gershwin or Bernstein; Proof; Shakespearean Comedies (and some tragedies and histories- too lazy to list); classic Greek comedies; The Crucibal and, you guessed it, more stuff that I can't think of right now.
