Picking up where my short fic "Leaving Neverland" ended (around 3x10), we see how that one night affects both Emma & Killian in Storybrooke. When Pan's Curse is imminent, Killian offers to escape the curse with Emma & Henry, but he isn't prepared for the result. Canon divergence but still will follow show's events. At 8 years old, Princess Emma's world comes crashing down when her parents die. When King George marries her off at 18 to the Dark One's son, she settles into a lonely life with their son, Henry. But when she crosses paths with the pirate, Captain Killian Jones, she realizes what she's missing and decides to fight for her freedom and kingdom with the help of some unlikely allies.

Captain Swan AU. Cora lets the curse take Killian, and her action changes the course of events in Storybrooke, forever changing their lives. A lot will stay to canon to Seasons 1-3 so far with exceptions made to accommodate Killian being cursed to Storybrooke as well as original scenes with Killian and others. There will be elements of season 4, but I will not have canon season 4.

To the outside world they seemed to be a perfect couple, but Emma and Graham knew that something was missing - that they were missing someone. A person they met over ten years ago that neither could get out of their minds. The only question now was if he reciprocated their feelings. Modern AU.
