In the show, they don't have the scene where Claire is patching Matt up after he collapsed in his apartment after his fight with Nobu. I didn't like that. I wrote this.

Following the events of Daredevil Season 2, Karen gets wrapped up helping Matt Murdock again and despite her wariness to trust him, she finds herself growing close to him. Then, one night, she's saved from a would be assassin and just like that, Frank Castle and more bad news were back in her life. Spoilers and explicit language, violence and a bit of smut thrown in soon.

Matt knew from the moment he had fallen into the icy water that he was in trouble. He barely makes it to Foggy, half frozen to death and fading fast, but Foggy will never give up on him easily. [Gen but probably pre-slash - Shaky medical facts within]

His ribs were cracked, his thigh was bleeding and he was probably a little bit concussed... he was done for the night. That he could even admit that was a testament not to himself but to Foggy. Well, Foggy and his ridiculously named injury scale. (Est Foggy/Matt, post season 1)

Someone rolls around with a message for Matt-a message that turns out to be a nearly fatal one. The encounter leads Foggy to face a sobering and terrifying realization. Rating for violence and language. Spoilers for seasons 1 and 2. Featuring Matt!whump, Pissed!Foggy, Worried!Karen, and a cameo appearance by everyone's favorite ultra-violent moody anti-hero.

Elektra doesn't remember Matt, and the Black Sky sees him as a target. Even if the Defenders can save Matt's life, they know he might not survive what must be done to save their city. The Black Sky must die. Multiple POVs, Matt-centric.

Maybe it's not this guy's fault he's not helping Matt to die. Fisk never did like the easy way out. Just as well, Matt decides, testing his strength against the blanket and failing and not crying don't you dare cry. He never liked the easy way much either.

My version of how Karen finds out about Matt's secret. Takes place between seasons 1 and 2. Some whump.

Karen's curiosity brings trouble to Nelson and Murdock - in the form of a sniper's crosshairs.

'This is what friends do, Matt. They sit around in waiting rooms reading sticky outdated People magazines for as long as it takes.'

Matt promised to do whatever it takes to protect his city. This time he might push himself too far. Set after season 1.

And one time Foggy is the one who got him hurt in the first place. Basically a hurt/comfort 5 and one prompt between Matt and Foggy (though Claire is in it a fair amount too...for obvious reasons) No slash intended.

Matt lives his life like he has all these years, until he can't. Matt finds his senses numbed and is forced to learn how to be regularly blind.

He'd just been so excited to introduce this new member of his family to the rest of them. And he hates the idea of Matt spending the holidays alone.

"Foggy?" His voice is fragile, barely audible, and Foggy instinctively leans closer. "Yeah, it's me. Lie still, okay? I'm gonna call an ambulance."

Foggy looked at Karen helplessly. He knew how much Matt hated hospitals; hell, he'd barely see a doctor. The last thing he wanted was to betray his friend's trust, but even more so, he didn't want to see him die.

Matt is going to get his ass kicked. Foggy puts together an overnight bag for when – not if – that happens. A series of hurt/comfort fics. Prompts welcome.

Matt felt the glass slip past the tips of his fingers, condensation wetting his skin, before it fell to the floor with a … silence. The lawyer felt his breath quicken, his chest tightening, because though he did all he could to focus his hearing there was simply nothing to focus on. Foggy finds Matt freaking out after losing his hearing

Foggy isn't really used to having to take care of an injured best friend several times a week, but that's okay, because Matt isn't really used to being taken care of. (In which Matt gets hurt more often than is necessary or kind of me, poor cupcake. Foggy and Matt friendship-centric but appearances from other characters, too. Post series-one Netflix show canon.)

Kind of a short missing scene from 2x02. Matt couldn't see, and now he couldn't hear. This was one of his worst living nightmare…

SPOILER S02e02 Written for a prompt. In episode 2x02 we see Matt going deaf for a while. In my story, Foggy finds him and stays with him all the while.

He carries the boy out of the building with a reserve of strength that he didn't think that he had. (s1 "Cut Man" post-ep)

One seemingly normal day when she sees and hears a little too much, she finds herself on an unexpected and dangerous path that takes her straight to a familiar face from her past. Matt/OC, woven into season one.

Matt and Foggy are captured by some underworld cronies looking to catch the Devil of Hell's Kitchen. The irony of the situation is not lost on them. They're just sorry they can't let their captors know that.

Set post S1. Daredevil may be the Man Without Fear, but Matt Murdock is terrified. Especially when the law isn't enough and Daredevil can't save everyone. It's said that there is someone in Hell's Kitchen who will hear a cry for help, but what if the person calling out is Matt? Who saves him when Daredevil can't? [AN: Missing chapter 4 now added, story complete.]

Two-parter fic that takes place between episodes 9 and 10. "Who the hell is this? Where is Matt?" The shrillness of her words left her mouth before she could think through the consequences of using his name again. "He's here - he told me to call you. I can't stop the bleeding." The man's voice trailed off into a panicked heave and again the phone shuffled.

Foggy takes care of Matt after a long nigh out.

Foggy doesn't think he's ever been farther from amused.

After being hit by a poisoned object, Matt can no longer determine between friend and foe.

Foggy Nelson's knowledge of Matthew Murdock is put to the test when one night in their sophomore year, he is awoken by the horrible sound and sight of his roommate doing an imitation of an elephant and tapioca pudding. Inspired by a line/string of dialogue in drewbug's "Man Candy".

'Hey, it's okay…' Foggy's voice has the qualities of a well-loved LP, a tired pop!hiss! ragged feel to it like this is a tune that's been played over and over. Matt struggles to remember what day it is. How to breathe. They both seem important.

Foggy continues to study him from the front, Karen from behind. If everything weren't such a pain in the ass today, he'd get up and leave them here to stare at each other.
