My name is Angie and I am currently a senior in the University of Colorado going after a dual degree in News-Editorial Journalism and Keyboard Performance. Originally from Seattle, Washington, I grew up in the environment that encouraged music and also the arts. I have been drawn to fashion ever since I was a little girl. I was the girl who played dress up in her motherâs clothes and experimented with all of her motherâs makeup. I always wanted to wear different things, even when I was younger. For me, nevertheless, different did not necessarily mean wearing a tutu to help school. The majority of my clothes originated in small boutiques or offshore brands like Englandâs Laura Ashley. If i had to categorize my own style, it would be classic which has a modern twist. I favor feminine slashes and pieces like skirts and dresses over any couple of pants. The person whose style I might most like to replicate is Audrey Hepburnâs. She had a way of making a simple blouse look effortlessly lovely and I share the woman's philosophy of simplicity. I dream to someday write feature articles for a print publication like Vogue, Teen Vogue, or W magazine. I have been fortunate enough to attend Teen Style Fashion University, a weekend of seminars hosted by Teen Vogue, for the past two years. There, I was introduced on the infamous Anna Wintour and designers like Zac Posen, Jason Wu and Michael Kors. Additionally my Style Guru internship position, I am also that editorial intern for New Hope Media in Boulder, Colorado in addition to a guest blogger for the company Hello Perfect. I also provide my own blog, This Effervescent Entity, where I enjoy commenting on new fashion partnerships, collections and up-and-coming agencies and fashion lines. What I enjoy about the Boulder community is that it is extremely diverse. This amount of high diversity exists within its residents, food, culture, fashion and more. Looking around the CU-Boulder campus, there is a large array of designs, colors and trends that is preparing to be showcased. I look ahead to exploring the fashion trends and styles to the CU-Boulder campus and hope that you will join me. âFashion is not something that exists with dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street. Fashion has to accomplish with ideas, the way we live and what is happening. â â Coco Chanel Trend On, Angie Veronica.
