I'm not really one to write stories. I've tried before and even though I start out with genuine purpose and enthusiasm I get somewhat lost on my way to the plot and the story never gets finished. But I love to read people's writing and when I like something I tell the person who wrote it. I never let it go unsaid how much I like people's stories. From what I've read there are really talented people on this site and are really fabulous. Somebooks I really love are: The Perks Of Being a Wallflower byStephen Chbosky (has a beautiful poem and isin one of the stories I've read) The Center of Everything by Laura Moriarty (Relatable and naive, very blunt but in the childish way that you don't know better.) Glitzby Elmore Leonard (Murder mystery about a whore in Mexico, always a good recipe for adventure!) Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris (Truly hilarious and very entertaining, you never stop laughing and you feel better about yourself.) Ordinary People by Judith Guest (Depressingly beautiful, odd sense of reality and gives hope of some amount.) Death Be Not Proud by John Gunther (Sad and forlorn, makes you wish you could do something.) A Child Called "It" by David Pelzer (Sad but really touching and makes you want to help him.) Running With Scissors Augusten Burroughs (absurdly funny with a crazy psychiatrist. Always a good way to go.) Dude, Where's My Country? by Michael Moore (Funny spin at times about the absurdity of the president and other parts of his Administration, but turns out not to be so funny when you think about it.) |
