Hello, my name is James Dermid

I hail from the tiny little town of Hurstbridge, on the out skirts of Melbourne Australia.

After months away from writing, I've decided to come back & finish what I started. With a new muse, determination & resolve to put aside my pride when it comes to critics and they oppinions.

The reason I stopped writing because I was immature enough to think it was my job to fight critics, when it is their job to have quick come-backs and really just put you down (depending on the type of person they are). So because I couldn't take it, I ran out of motivation to continue. But that was a long time ago& now I go by a quote to one of my favorite movies; "F 'em if they can't take a joke ... & break their window."

That aside, music is what greatly helps inspire me when it comes to writing. Although I am not longer a fan of The Used because of my own personal opinion has become quite low. However, they really did help me a lot with writing because it filled me with energy and excitement, though now I've found plenty of other artists to fill the hole.
