Well... I am a Pit x Samus shipper... I was putting off writing a story on here because I felt as if it was pretty embarrassing (Like reading off of here wasn't embarrassing enough). But I soon ran out of stories about Pit x Samus, in fact I actually haven't seen a Pit x Samus story made in all of 2016. So now I feel as if I should try to give Pit x Samus a jump start for 2016 and hope people will follow suit.

There is quite a few opinions on who Samus should be paired with. In this next section I will give you my thoughts on the pairings and what my rating is.

Pit X Samus 10/10

I love the possible ways that Pit and Samus can interact. Just so many cute opportunities to show contrast between the pure angelic being and the cold-hearted bounty hunter. It has the chance to be an unpredictable relationship but at the same time realistic. Also, it's interesting to see that "Kid Icarus" has a lot of similarities to Metroid. For example: Kid Icarus pays mention to metroids, Pit fights space pirates, and Kid Icarus was made for the same system around the same time using the same engine.

In Kid Icarus uprising, there is a creature called a Komayto. It resembles a metroid to an extreme degree. Pit even references this in the game by stating that they look like little metroids. Viridi tries to deny this claim by frantically saying that "this universe and that universe have nothing in common" She says this in a panicked voice, which leads you to believe that there is more to that story then we think. Seeing as there is Komayto (which directly translates to "Little Metroid") and Space Pirates, it's not hard to believe that they are in the same universe. If that isn't enough, look at this quote from the manual of the original kid icarus.

“A mysterious floating creature. Nobody knows where it came from. One theory has it that it came from a planet other than the Earth. It's a nasty jellyfish monster.”

If it is true that they are in the same universe, than it will be the only smash pairing for Samus that she can sustain outside the tournament.

Snake X Samus 7/10

To be honest, I don't have any strong feelings towards this relationship. I think it is the most realistic relationship. Two military(ish) hardened people making a life as a couple. It sounds really good on paper. The thing is (from what I know) hard core fans of Metal Gear would be fairly outraged. I guess in the game that Solid Snake is in (Smash bros snake) he never even had a relationship. Apparently there was one girl, but they didn't develop into anything. It seems that Snake wasn't meant to love anyone. The only reason I don't apply this same concept to Samus "She didn't have a suitable relationship in her game so she shouldn't have one in smash bros" Is because she has yet to have anyone to experience love within her original game. Meaning that it still makes sense to love outside her game. But if you took all of there backgrounds out of the picture, this would be a pretty nice pairing.

Little Mac X Samus 7/10

I like this ship solely based off the fact that Little Mac was my old main and I wanted him to be with the sexiest girl... In reality it's a crappy pairing. There is really nothing to go off of from the games that make you think this would work out.

Ike X Samus 5/10

This is easily the most popular straight ship. I think for the majority of people who like this ship, it really comes down to body types and love for Ike in his original game. I'm not so much of a fan of this ship. It's just so... pedestrian. Like, if you saw them on the street as a couple (holding hands, kissing, the whole shabang) you would probably think to yourself "Ah, makes sense".

Girl X Samus ???/10

I have no grounds to judge this pairing. I just don't read yuri stuff. I guess if I was gonna pick one I'd like, it would probably be Peach x Samus. There's a pretty adorable contrast in character; similar to Pit X Samus.
