Hobbies: Reading. Anything by Stephen King, H. P. Lovecraft,or Terry Prachett is good. In addition, I like The Lord of the Rings and its related works, I enjoyed the first two parts of the Divine Comedia (I'm looking for a break in school to read the third) and I occasionally spend hours in a semicatatonic state staring at the pretty pictures in Trigun. Video games are also good, but I like my games with a purpose. Anything with a good story works. Doesn't have to be perfect, just let me know why I want to slaughter so-and-so. For that matter, cool characters work for me too (Good gameplay goes without saying). Other pastimes include debating philosophy, wondering about things man was not meant to know, and screaming at my siblings.

Fanfiction No-Nos:

1: Quit writing the high school AU fics. You know who you are. My computer has to try to load the pages you've filled with this garbage, and I am upset. No computer should be subjected to such torment. Okay?

2: I don't mind if you back a character back from the dead, if you do it well. Unless your fanfic is a comedy, always use this rule: if you can't convince yourself of your ressurection's logic, let the dead lie still. Don't just bring characters back because you liked them either. Have a compelling story reason to do so.

3: Pairings. Oh boy. Kids, you don't have to play matchmaker to every character in your fandom. Really. And another thing, if you invent a pairing that isn't canon, have some sort of rational for it. Also, if a character has a specified gender preference, respect it unless you're writing an AU. Hate to break it to you fangirls, but if Vash and Wolfwood are gay, they're so far back in the closet they've taken up residence in Narnia. Don't even get me started on Vash/Knives.

Other Things To Know And Love (Or Not) About Me: What can I say? Really? I'm just a sarcastic scholarly type. I'm a Christian, but I don't mind other belief systems, and the wackos on Christian TV scare me. I alternate between angsty and disturbingly cheerful. I take classes out at a local college, and I hate math. I'm trying to ressurect the Great Old Ones from their deathlike slumber, so that they may crush the unworthy and provide me with a high-ranking position in the new world order.
