Kubo lives with his grandfather in much the same life he lived before. When a series of nights change everything, he must decide who is worth saving, if old wounds can be healed and old sins be forgiven for good. For the past will not stay buried... Whatever he does, he must not blink.

Many years after the tales in Hogwarts we know have come to pass, new characters enter the stage. Merida, Hiccup and Rapunzel cross paths, the three becoming quick friends. But then, in their fifth year, a strange boy comes to Hogwarts from Durmstrang Institute of Wizardy in Bulgaria, by the name of Jack Frost. And strange goings on start happening in the castle...

Down on Earth, Kubo had defeated his grandfather, turning him into a mortal. He and the villagers were finally safe... however, up on the Moon, there waged a battle unknown to the inhabitants of Earth. A child escapes from the fight, seeking out her cousin. Nameless, homeless, she finally finds Kubo, the town storyteller. She tells him of her plight, and... well, you'll find out.
