![]() Author has written 3 stories for X-overs, Legend of Zelda, and Soul Blazer Series. 11/21/13 Yes, I am still on here. Mostly reading updates for stories from my Favorite Authors, but I am still active. After almost 4 years with no update, though, two of which I was completely in no shape to do anything with my stories despite the amount of time on my hands, what I'm about to say next is not what most people would want to hear. This will be a quick update. Here are the statuses of the stories: The Adventure Begins: I'm going to rename this Prelude to Dark Futures and am in the process of rewriting it. No huge changes, but I want to make sure the plot flows better and it feels more believable. I was just starting out as a serious writer when I started to post it, and have learned more along the way. I just want have it apply to the whole story rather than the later chapters. Regardless of the outcome, though, I do swear I will finish this, even if it kills me! Illusion of Gaia Novelization: This is on hiatus until my original fic is done. As far as I know there is not a fic about this yet, or not one I've been impressed with, so I'm still determined to do it, but I really want to clean my first one up first. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Novelization: Discontinued. I decided to discontinue this due to a better version being written by one of my favorite authors, Magus523. He did a way better job of this than I had planned or could have done, so if you're looking for a really good Legend of Zelda fic, then head his way. Until next time, hopefully... :) 3/25/10 Wow, almost two years since I've written an update...I know I should probably apologize, but I've done that so much it's kind of lost credibility as of now. I have still been on the site keeping up with my favorite stories, but have not been doing any updating to my own for a couple of reasons. First off, I haven't had the motivation, pure and simple. I was trying to change the flow of my main story and lost my way in the process. My other two stalled because of the major amounts of research needed to make them excellent, and I didn't have the time, energy, or focus to put into them like I needed to. The second reason is that I graduated college in May '08 and have been getting settled into my life. As of right now, I'm pretty much settled and tired of watching old reruns on TV over and over again (and I have DVR for all the good ones now, so now I won't miss anything :P ) Anyhoo...I'm going to start using my free time to work on my stories. HOWEVER, I still won't be posting right away until I'm sure the stories are the way I want them to be. Once I start posting, I don't want to have to make major changes unless absolutely necessary (I don't want to make minor ones either, but that's probably going to be a necessary evil). I've said this before, and I'll say it again: No matter how much I lag on these projects, I WILL finish these stories if it's the last thing I ever do. As a final note, I want to thank everybody who has reviewed and saved my profile and stories to their Alerts and Favorites. These do not escape my notice, and it's your support that gives me my added drive to keep going. Thank you again and I promise to update as soon as I can! Catch ya all later! 5/17/08 Okay, this is getting ridiculous. I know I keep promising I'll update, but I just never get around to it. HOWEVER! I just graduated from college and am now getting into a routine with a job for the summer. That provides me plenty of time to write, and by golly, I WILL finish my stories. Here is the status report on stories, both in progress and in the wings: The Adventure Begins: This one is currently on hiatus. I will finish it eventually, seeing as it is technically done, but I'm not content with where it is going. I'm afraid that I crossed over too many elements to keep track of and still have the story make sense. Until I can iron out these details, I'm putting this on hold. Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Novelization: I'm going to extensively work on this during the summer. This story has a lot of potential, and I want to bring it out. Though I haven't been writing much, I've still been reading and adapting, so I hope to have this one fairly completed by the end of the summer. Illusion of Gaia Novelization: This one has been rolling around in my head for awhile now. The Soul Blazer series is one of the overlooked set of games, and nobody has done much with them on this site, but the storyline is really quite good. I'm going to start this one this summer and work with it along with Zelda. I hope to be a good ways through it by the end of the summer. I'm going to work hard to make these goals happen, and I hope that those who are checking my stories out will review and tell me what you think. Catch ya all later! 10/27/07 I thought since it's been awhile (again) since I did anything here, I thought I may as well give a status report. No, I have not died, nor have I given up on my stories (although, I for all intents and purposes, I haven't gotten any reviews wondering why I haven't updated, so I'm not too worried about people being disappointed), but I have put them on hold for the time being. I'm just bored right now, and I can't get my mind to think straight enough to make "Adventure" interesting enough in my mind, and "Awakening" is placed on hold because I want to get my first project out of the way. I'd like to get a novelization of Illusion of Gaia up sometime as well, but that's way in the future at this rate. I've also got school to deal with (which I'm doing a poor job at at the moment). Anyways, I still read new chapters of Favorites that do come in from other authors, but otherwise I'm pretty burnt out on the whole fanfic thing. So, yeah, not much else to say. Catch ya all sometime! 2/22/07 It's been a while since I've updated this, so I thought I should probably say a few words. First off, sorry that I haven't updated too much lately. I've made predictions, but it just never comes along the way I want to. I hate to say this next part, but for the sake of my sanity I'm going to: I'll no longer make any predictions; for better or worse, I'm going to work at my own pace. I think in the long run this will allow me to produce better chapters, which, in turn, benefits you as the readers. I highly suggest at least putting this on your alerts since the time slots will probably vary and it's much easier than constantly checking back (I've done that with several of my Favorites, and I can say from experience that Alerts are a real blessing, especially when someone hasn't updated in a year). Anyways, in new news, I've added a new story. I thought I'd be the first to do a novelization of Link's Awakening, but a couple other people have started before me (I posted it and then searched to see how many there were). Oh well, it's up now. I was tempted to take it down, but I'm going to stick with it. Again, it's going to be at my own pace. To put a positive spin on all this, though, I'm working 20 hours a week in the computer labs, which gives me plenty of time to write and think stuff up, and classes aren't too bad this semester. The only thing that's holding me back is motivation. So that's all for now, so I'll let you scroll on down to the bottom of the screen and start reading. Catch ya all later! 11/30/06 Man, can't believe that almost five months have flown by already! I know I've been incommunicado the last couple of months, and it really tears me up that I haven't posted a new chapter for my story. I'm going to try and get one out sometime this month (two, if my creativeness holds out long enough). My classes are finally dying down, and my inspiration is popping back up. It's just been hard with a lot of stuff I've been fighting through this month (schoolwork, colds, anti-social life, etc., etc. :) ). So anyways, I thought I'd let anybody who was reading this know what's going on. If you do happen to read my story, feel free to drop me a review. I'd be glad to know who's reading, and I'll be sure to return the favor. Anyways, until then, catch ya all later! 7/5/06 I trust everybody had a happy Fourth of July. Just think, if we didn't have our freedom, would there be freedom to post stories the way we want? Just a thought... Anyways, I've been pretty busy the last couple of months. I've had a summer school class that I just finished up (for better or for worse) so it's going to free up my nights. I'm working full-time (albeit temporarily) at a factory running stuff through a conveyor, and that's eating up most of my time. The good news is is that that assignment ends the 14th, so until I get a new job I'll have plenty of free time on my hands. On the social side of things, I still don't have an actual life so that never interferes, though some issues have prevented me from concentrating on the things I need to. And to add insult to injury to all these things, I have to go the the public library in town to get Internet access. Oh well, life goes on I guess, and for all the complaining I just did I do actually enjoy my life as it is right now, as strange as it sounds. I'd like to thank everybody for being so patient with me. I probably won't be doing the replies on my blog like I thought, but I'll still reply if you review. That's it for now, so I'll catch ya all later! 4/19/06 Ain't technology great? My computer decided to die yesterday so I've been busting my tail to get it back up and running. I can do basic stuff right now, but it won't be until after the weekend that I get my stuff up to where it was before. Oh well, the good news is that I got my blog working the way I want it to. Use my homepage link to go there; hopefully this whole plan will work like I want it to. Anyways, that's just a quick update on what's going on. Catch ya all later! 4/15/06 It's been a while since I've updated this, so I thought I would do so. Not much to report actually. I went to Europe about a month ago for a week, so my story was more or less put on hold during that time and now that my work load is a bit larger it might slow my already slow update rate. Add in my personal life blunders, and I'm doing just peachy. I can't believe it's been a whole year since I've started posting. I'd like to thank all those who have reviewed, and wag a finger in shame at all those who have read and haven't. :) It's your support that keeps me going. Keep an eye on my homepage link. I'm thinking of switching it to my blog and try to put my responses to reviews. Once I figure out how to put links on my blog, I'll do it. The only drawback of that is that I don't have most of the original responses so they won't be the same as when I first sent them. Since I'm a little more personal in my responses anyways, that might be a good thing so I can stick to business when I put them up again. Even if I do this, though, I'll still give a personal response. Anyways, that's the plan, and it'll happen within the next few weeks. I think that's about it for now. If you're bored while waiting for my next update, check out my favorites pages. There are a lot of good authors and stories on them. Adios for now and I'll catch ya all later! 1/22/06 Well, I'm back from break so hopefully my chapters will be posted a lot more frequently. I swear, Dragon Quest 8 and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance are desperately addicting. I can't play actual games while I'm at school so I have to make do while at home, hence, my recent absence. Bummer, I know, but I make do with computer games. (if you can't tell, I'm a "video game-aholic" :)) Of course, I do write during that time. Well, I've blabbered on enough. I've been reading some really good video game novelizations. They're on my Favorites page if you want to take a look. I highly recommend them. They've made me consider doing my own on some of my favorite games. Another thing I'd like to mention is fictionpress.com. I have an account there, too, though I haven't posted anything yet. If you're interested in the site, just click on my homepage. I'll probably start something sooner or later. The registration is the same as here if you're interested in starting an account, but the fiction there is purely original. Anyway, just check it out if you're interested. I think that's all for now. Catch ya all later! 11/28/05 I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving. Personally, mine was too short, especially with an 8-10 hour drive each way and only about three day to relax. Oh well, life goes on. I hope everybody who's visited this page looks at my story as well. I'm taking more time on it so the chapters come out more frequently. Of course, I'm hoping that it doesn't detract from the overall quality of it. If it does, review and tell me! And while you're down at the bottom of the page, look up some of my favorite stories. I've seen some pretty impressive ones as I surf, and I usually put them down there so others can find them easily. Well, nothing big to report on. Just keep up the great work and drop me a review now and then. 8/29/05 Well, I'm back with a vengance. Between summer vacation and having this stupid computer go down on me, I haven't gotten a whole lot done. Now that I'm going back to school tomorrow, my brain will go into overdrive to get my story done. I'm kind of glad I've waited this long because there are things that pop into my mind that I know have to be changed and I can play with the new elements a little. Oh well, not much tosay except...READ AND REVIEW PLEASE! 6/13/05 Hey ya, Just updating my profile. I'm pretty boring so there's not a whole lot to say. I have one fanfiction in the works and contemplating doing others. They'd be along the same basic theme as the first, but I'd cross them with DBZ and other popular anime. This is my first time doing anything like this so I'm not familiar with all the abbreviations and terms and such so just bear with me. Anyway, about me: Age: 22 Gender: Male Hobbies: Watching: Dragonball Z, Yu Yu Hakasho, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Ruruoni Kenshin are among my favorites; Writing stories and reading books; Playing Video Games (I don't get out much) Not a whole lot else to tell. I'm from Illinois, and I just graduated from college and got a Bachelor's in Math Education with a minor in Music. I have written stories since I was in fourth grade, and I've started to post them. This whole system can be a pain to edit stories, though. Oh well, maybe I'll write more later. A lot of the stories I've read on this site have been very good. I put those in my favorites list. I'm looking forward to seeing updates from you guys. Keep up the great work! |
