Romanogers AU: Steve Rogers' life is good. He has a great job and the most adorable daughter, he doesn't need a woman in his life. His mother and daughter seem to disagree and are convinced that the woman who gives dance lessons at the community center would be perfect for Steve.

Following the events of CA: Civil War, the Avengers are left trying to recover from the fallout. While on the run, Natasha finds herself questioning her worth and decides to balance her ledger. Romanogers.

The events of Captain America: Civil War left everything broken. The Avengers, Romanogers, Rhodey's spinal column, love, friendship, trust, family - everything was in pieces. In The Broken Shield, I will try to glue the pieces together. It will mainly be about the process of in which Steve and Natasha finally succumb to their feelings for each other.

Set before, during, and after Captain America: Civil War. His breath tickles her neck, warm and moist against her skin. His leg juts out from the crumpled sheet, crossing over her calf and effectively trapping her into staying still, staying in his arms. Just staying.

Steve has feelings for Natasha, but doesn't know how to get her attention. Clint wants to get back together with his ex-wife, but she won't even give him time of day.
