AU idea: we had a one night stand and when your alarm went off I slapped you in the face and now we're in A&E cos I maybe broke your nose. (So my friend and I spent the day in A&E recently because she fractured her ankle falling off my unicycle, and we overheard a conversation which inspired my friend to come up with this prompt!)

Uther is holding a New Year's Ball and has told Arthur to bring his new girlfriend along. Arthur tries to correct him, but doesn't manage to get a word in edgeways so he gives up. Then he has the idea of just playing along with it. Merlin, however, is not so convinced. Queue a reluctant Merlin in a ball gown.

Merlin is self-conscious of his eccentricities so tries to be normal. (Written for one of those 11 question tag things on tumblr. I was tagged by amydyersgreatblueyonder, and the question was: "11. Tell me what normal people do. (creative writing, 2 hours)")

Iris thought she was just a normal girl, then her acceptance letter arrives and her world is completely changed. This is excerpts from her diary discussing her experiences of being a muggleborn at Hogwarts.

Set in a future where Britain has devolved into chaos under the 'rule' of Uther Pendragon, Merlin is travelling around, trying to stay under the radar and stay alive, when he meets the golden haired Arthur Pendragon, disinherited son of Uther. This chance meeting could change his life. (Based on the song 'Bat Out of Hell' by Meat Loaf. Some lyrics have been shamelessly lifted.)

Merlin and Arthur watch Eurovision. (When I was watching Eurovision, Denmark's singer reminded me of Elena in Merlin for some reason so I ended up writing this.)
