Hey, I'm Laura and I currently live in Jacksonville, IL. I'm 19 years old and am enrolling in my sophomore year of college. I have a crazy obsession with movies that causes me to cover my walls with posters. I also have a deep love of reading, and hope to someday open my own bookstore. I'm not great at creative writing, thus why I have no stories posted. The only reason I actually have an account is to pester my favorite authors into updating their stories (2 years is just too long!). Well, that's about it. Here's a list of my favorite movies: Lord of the Rings- This trilogy is my absolute favorite work of cinematic history. They're just incredible beyond words. Star Wars- The original three of course. I've always been an avid Star Wars fan, and I must say, George Lucas finally redeamed himself with Revenge of the Sith. Harry Potter- Love the books, Love the movies, especially as they've progressed and matured. Notting Hill- I adore Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. This is perhaps my favorite chick flick. It's witty, sweet, and intelligent. Chocolat- A brilliant film (made all the better by Johnny Depp!), both beautiful and touching. Ferris Bueller's Day Off- This movie is hilarious! Everyone should see this at least once in their lives, it's classic. The Goonies- Perhaps the greatest thing to come out of the 80's. Heeeeeey yooooou guuuuuuys! Remember the Titans- Denzel Washington was amazing in this movie. I think I cry every time I see this, it's so moving, and such an important element in understanding U.S. history. The Emperor's New Groove- My friends and I crack up over this one... it's so funny! Finding Nemo- I'm constantly quoting this movie, especially Dory. Well, I have a lot more, but I'm sure you really don't need to read about all of them. |
