Darth Vader defeated Obi-wan on Mustafar, allowing him to embrace his new powers completely. Now he and his family will have to deal with the consequences of his actions... all of them.

"Senator," Anakin began, "This… This is truly not what it looks like…" He winced, and Reeva's gaze snapped back to him once more. Wasn't it? Well, she supposed not… But it could have been! It might have been given just a little more time! But Anakin wasn't looking at Reeva now. His gaze focused only on the Senator whose own eyes seemed to scream of murder when settled on her.

The only way to save the Galaxy from this terrible sickness, to save her sister and Darred, was to face the one man Padme had never believed she'd ever see again. For, the mysterious and cruel Vader was someone she'd once known so very well. Someone she'd always believed so much in. Someone, she'd even come close to marrying once.

AOTC AU. Anakin left the order prior to AOTC and finds himself joining a new order. When Padme is nearly killed before returning to vote on the Military Creation Act, he must do whatever it takes to keep her safe while keeping his dark past secret.
