What if at the end of Avengers, Shield had insisted that they had a right to punish Loki for his crimes on earth before going back to Asgard? What if Thor had let them? Problem is, even as a force of good, Shield can be downright evil, and Loki isn't as evil as everyone thinks. Now the Avengers have to deal with the fallout, and somehow help the God of Mischief become whole again.

A century after Loki's imprisonment, someone would eventually check on the prisoner-the monster, the traitor. This someone wore a red cape and held a hammer, but that's insignificant. What does matter is what he saw, scrawled in blood on the grimy floor-words that were a hundred years too late: 'I am sorry'. But is anything ever too late?

Loki's punishment is the worst of all the hells: isolation. Isolated from his home, from his family, from the worlds, from his own voice, Loki waits for the day when he's forgiven.

Loki must learn to face his inner demons, but he is not alone; Thor, Frigga, Odin and my own character the servant-slave Quillith all are here to aid him. But he faces a long and dark road and Frigga lays sick and dying. Can the mischievous prince come to terms with himself and save his ailing mother?

An enraged Loki is returned to Asgard for his punishment. He suffers yet again at the hands of his family, but do they really want to cause him pain or are they trying to retrieve the man they once knew?

Severus Snape knew his life would be difficult the moment he signed away his freedom to Dumbledore on the windswept hill.
