This started when my imagination ran away with the phrase "She's all yours" and the looks between Rachel, Gill and Helen in the Series 3 trailer. It has now taken on a life of its own. I'm sorry to say I have very little idea where it's going except that it's me exploring the strange relationships between the three of them by making them stranger.

"Gill. It's been three months since DC Bailey disappeared... don't you think it's time to replace her?" But of course, with Rachel Bailey, it was never going to be as simple as a mere disappearance.

What if something unexpected happened during Rachel and Gill's trip down to Bristol in S2ep3? What if Rachel brought it up again during a certain drunken, late-night telephone call ...

Set during S03E02. Let down and fed up, Rachel finds comfort in the bottle alone in the Grapes. When it gets to the point where the pub is about to close and she's incapable of leaving, the landlord enlists help from across the road. One-shot. A bit too much fluff - apologies if it's OOC. Rated T for swearing and inebriation.

My version of what the series finale might be. With their friendship in tatters, its left to Rachel to find Gill. Can she do it for the person she believes is a mother figure, or will she learn something about herself she never considered?
