![]() Author has written 127 stories for Life is Strange, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Green Arrow, Deadpool, Avengers, Flash, Batman, Defenders, Marvel, Justice League, Birds Of Prey, Daredevil, Supergirl, John Wick, and Agent Carter. About me: An ever-trying geek who often screws up stuff, has strange imagination. Sometimes I'm laid-back and calm, sometimes I'm short-tempered and can easily get very angry. Been reading fanfiction since 2015, started to write in 2016. I don't consider myself a great writer in comparison to others but I see myself as good and experienced enough. However, it might happen that over the time I delete some of my stories, if I consider them not compelling enough, which has happened to me before. Also, sometimes I suffer from insomnia, i.e. I wake up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep, so I try to kill some time by going on Internet and read fanfiction, among other things. Lover of a lot of video games, TV series, comic books (mainly Marvel and DC Comics), novels (Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Inheritance Cycle, Percy Jackson, Lord of the Rings etc.) and various films. I especially love Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are a lot of things I enjoy about the films, TV series, tie-in comic books etc. in this universe. I think that DC Extended Universe has been mishandled, not saying that it's bad but it's not as enjoyable to me as MCU, the only films I have really enjoyed from DCEU so far were Wonder Woman and Aquaman, although while the latter had a bit messy plot, it is good watching. So, you can expect my stories to happen a lot in DC Comics and Marvel Comics universes. Also, a follower of Fast and Furious and Star Wars franchises. As a hobby, I also sing, play on guitar and piano and play video games or do mathematics, since math is my favorite subject. Sometimes I add in my own version of endings in case I don't like how does the storyline originally go, while inserting my OCs. Or, I add other comic book characters into my stories from comic book adaptations to try to give the story a better spin rather than how it went down in the canon. And, if you think that my inserted versions of characters are acting differently than in comic books, remember that this is fanfiction and even then, a lot of showrunners and other fanfiction writers like me use their own spin on characters from comic books in their stories, so think about it before criticizing that my characters are acting OOC than in comic books. Sometimes, just for fun, I create AUs. I can be an empathic and understanding person, so I’d like to think I can get into the heads the characters, when writing and I can understand and respect other people’s thoughts and opinions, if they disagree with me and give compelling and reasonable arguments but I'm not gonna tolerate insults, swearing, vulgarisms, profanities or any other dirty words of any kind or pushing other people's opinions and requests onto others. I also have an account on AO3, if you want to take a look at my stories elsewhere if FF.net does not work for some reason. My updating policy: If I leave a story not updated for a while and there is a significant gap between the last and current update of my stories (if I leave a story NOT updated for more than a week), it's either because I'm busy with work, my own private life, looking for inspiration for writing the next chapter and come up with some creative ideas or changes or I'm focused on other stories currently or I simply need a break but that does not mean I have stopped writing the one I have left neglected, so, please be patient. My opinion on story requests and challenges: My writing policy - Stories I am going to write: I've tried writing stories in 1st person viewpoint of the main characters before but re-reading my stories of this type after finishing them, it did not sit for me, so my stories are gonna be written from the narrator's viewpoint. I try to be empathic, introspective and understanding and get into the minds of the characters, when writing, to make my stories realistic to the standards of the fandom. Honestly, in some cases I have doubts about succeeding that. I try to keep romance and action and relationship drama in my stories balanced to make my written stories likeable enough. My preferred writing are stories with balanced and leveled romance, drama and action and where a lot of emotions that are needed to the plot, are expressed as appropriate, even though I may not succeed in this sometimes, with some occassional comedic and humorous aspects. I especially enjoy writing touching emotional scenes. I try to make my stories mainly plot-driven with balanced level of romance, emotions, sexual content, comedy, humor and drama and focused more on intriguing and compelling storyline. Frankly, I don't see myself as a good writer of romances (not that I don't like writing them but sometimes, when I read my romances over, I just don’t feel like they have been well-written) or fight scenes but, no better opinion than the one of the reader’s. If my stories are romance-focused, I take great care in writing them to make them realistic, even though sometimes I fail in that area, or at least I think I fail, the same with trying to write good fight scenes. As for relationships, I will write in my stories pairings that I approve of in the fandoms, as listed below. I will not write pairings that I disapprove of or dislike in the fandoms, unless it is a breakup, or to show why they would not work or if a partner in the pairings that I do not approve of, needs to be called out on something or if it's going to be a humorous situation I want to write with them. If I have a mixed opinion on the pairing, I might consider writing a better handled version of the pairing. But I will most likely NEVER write stories with homosexual slash or incest pairings that are not canon, since most of such fics in my opinion are nonsense and insulting and disrespectful and a load of crap, save for some rare exceptions regarding female slash, if I see the sexual subtext there but it is VERY UNLIKELY that I will write these. I will never write male slash, just to be clear. And I will never write or read any stories with non-canon male or female slash (gay or lesbian) pairings or non-canon incest pairings in any comic book fandom, such as Marvel Comics, Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics, DC Extended Universe, Arrowverse, Smallville etc. and I think that anyone who writes such pairings in any comic book fandom, is legitimately out of their mind and has no respect towards the comic book characters, since I find non-canon slash pairings and non-canon incest pairings in any comic book fandom disgusting, insulting and disrespectful towards the characters. My writing policy about stories with adult content and suggestive themes and how am I going to or not going to write them: If there will be sexual content in my story, it will be as it can fit the plot that I want to write to be more intriguing and interesting with balanced amount of action, romance and drama and while it will be to fit the plot, it is not my main intention to dehumanize and/or humiliate the characters in my stories but it may happen to them to fit the plot. You will not see me often write stories containing explicit content, such as smut with graphic nudity or heavy, explicit sexual content and if I write a story with such content (explicit love scenes with graphic nudity and detailed sexual content, steamy scenes, BDSM, explicit and/or sexual torture etc.), it will be as it appropriately fits the plot of my stories, not stories purely full of lust and sexual scenes with no actual compelling intriguing plot, containing swear words or vulgarities, such as rape, sexual torture etc. purely for the sake of these themes themselves instead of putting them into the plot of the stories as they fit to make the stories more intriguing. I certainly will not write the sex scenes too much to the detail to make them ”lemons” or pornographic sex scenes. My stories may contain themes as those mentioned above but I will not write purely sexual stories with no compelling plot whatsoever or slash non-canon homosexual pairings, save for the exceptions listed later below. I definitely am not going to write incest or male slash, ever. Female slash - just some very rare exceptions. If I write sexual content or content with graphic nudity in my stories, it will be as it fits the plot, although I cannot promise that the content will not be too disrespecting, humiliating or dehumanizing to the main characters, if the plot will demand it but it is not my intention to disrespect, violate, humiliate or otherwise dehumanize the characters that are subjects of the sexual content with graphic nudity written in my stories, such as main characters being stripped naked in an uncomfortable, humilating situation for them or graphic nudity supplemented with torture. And I am never going to write or read stories with non-canon male slash (gay) pairings or non-canon incest pairings, since I find these disrespectful, disgusting and insulting towards the readers and characters. Stories with non-canon female slash (lesbian) pairings - There are only some very rare exceptions that I might write or read but I will never write non-canon slash (gay or lesbian or bisexual or incest) pairings in comic book fandoms (Marvel, DC Comics etc.), when the characters in canon are not in gay, lesbian or incest relationship, since I find these pairings offending and disgusting. I think anyone who writes such pairings, is out of their mind and has no respect towards the comic books. My writing policy - Stories I am never going to write: As for the sexual content in my stories, it will be as descriptive and objective as fitting and detailed as appropriate due to the rating I will put on the story, there will be minimum vulgarities or swearing and these scene will not be exaggarated (too descriptive and exaggarated with vulgarisms or swear words), like how some writers might write sex scenes. I’ve seen various stories in fanfiction, where people have done pairings (slash fictions, incest, gay/lesbian), which are not canon in fandoms and to be blunt, most of these pairings that are not canon in fandoms disgust me and offend me and I have very little to no interest in reading such stories, since I find stories with such pairings insulting, disrespectful and offensive towards me and other writers that may be disgusted by such stories and towards the characters paired in such fanfiction stories. Will I read them? Unlikely and if so, I am sure I am not going to like most of them, save for some VERY RARE exceptions that I shall mention later below in my bio in the part regarding the fandoms. I will NEVER write stories with non-canon incest pairings or non-canon homosexual pairings (slash pairings) in my stories, since, save for some very rare exceptions, I find most of them offending, disrespectful towards characters and insulting load of crap. As for the exceptions that I shall mention later, it is very unlikely I will write them, it will depend on whether I see the sexual subtext between the characters. Non-canon female slash F/F (lesbian) fics - Maybe, if I see the sexual subtext but it is not very likely that I will write these. Will I read them? Unlikely, save for some exceptions in fandoms regarding pairings that I shall mention below, such as Dragon Age or Buffyverse. Writing female slash - My thoughts about it shall be explained below later but it is unlikely that I will write these, since there are only very few cases, where I can think of some female slash pairings that I am intrigued in and would like to see. But I am not interested in them in any comic book fandom, such as Marvel Comics, Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics or Arrowverse. I will not write or read such fics with these pairings, ever, in any comic book fandom. And I think that anyone who writes or reads these kinds of stories, is a disgusting individual with no respect towards the comic books or characters. As for other fandoms than the comic book ones, that depends. Maybe I will read them or write them but the chances of that are very unlikely and it will depend on whether I can see the sexual subtext between the paired female characters. And I will never read or write anywhere any stories with non-canon incest pairings or non-canon male slash M/M (gay) pairings because I find these pairings completely insulting towards the characters and they disgust me. I will NEVER write any AU orgy, harem fics or anything of this sort because I find these kinds of fics very stupid too. And I certainly will not write or read any non-canon incest fics or slash of any kind (male slash, female slash, incest, harem, orgy etc.) in Marvel Comics, Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics, Arrowverse or any other comic book fandoms, since these are in my opinion completely insulting and I wonder what the hell are people thinking when writing non-canon slash and non-canon incest pairings in comic book fandoms, since I find non-canon slash (gay, lesbian or bisexual) and non-canon incest pairings in fanfiction stories in comic book fandoms with pairings that are not canon, very disgusting, offending and insulting. Honestly, I think that people that write non-canon slash (gay and lesbian) and non-canon incest pairings in any comic book fandom, are out of their minds and need professional help, since I find stories with such pairings in any comic book fandom and universe very disgusting, offending, insulting and disrespectful, both towards the characters of the comic books, films, TV series, video games etc. and the readers and fans of the franchises. Female slash in other TV shows or films or video games that are not adaptations of comic books or novels - very unlikely chance that I will write them, depending on if I see some sexual subtext. Again, VERY unlikely. I am never going to write AU stories where characters are completely OOC, such as High School AUs or Medieval Times etc. or AU teenager fics unless they are one-shots purely for fun and amusement. I may be tempted to read such stories but it will be likely that my interest in these stories will die quickly, unless they are short, funny and hilarious for amusement and laugh, such as one-shots. Unless these are just for amusement like one-shots from LyCox, which I find very amusing, I will unlikely ever be interested in these stories and/or write them and if so, they will most likely be one-shots purely for amusement. Mostly, I will most likely be as realistic as it can get in regards to the fandom’s standards of its universe fandom reality. I will stick to the present timeline of the fandom, if I write AUs. The characters may act OOC a bit but will more or less remain to their nature, unless I intend to write a comedy AU. The pairings that I do not approve of in fandoms, as mentioned later below, I will not write these in my stories, unless it is a breakup, showing why they would not work, or if a partner in the pairing that I do not approve of, needs to be called out on something. And don’t expect me to write fan service pairings either, unless I can see how they can work. Some of the pairings that fans would like, I find too stupid to actually care about them and will never write them, such as in Arrowverse, the examples being Oliver Queen / Tatsu Yamashiro, or Sara Lance / Alex Danvers or in Star Wars Kylo Ren / Rey. I think you would have to be out of your minds to actually support such pairings. I will not write any fan service pairings, unless I can see how it could work, such as Oliver Queen / Nyssa al Ghul in Arrowverse or Bucky Barnes / Natasha Romanoff in MCU. If I have a mixed opinion on the pairing, I might try writing a better handled version of the pairing. And I don't like writing self-insert stories, since I think it would be ridiculous if writers would try to involve themselves directly into the storylines. I find those stories amusing but sometimes there are Gary Stu, Mary Sue or canon divergence moments that I do not like. I may write my own OCs into some stories but they will most likely will be as realistic to the plot as they can be and I will try NOT to write any Gary Stus or Mary Sues, even though it may not seem that way or characters that belong to the universe but have not been included in the fandom yet, with my own spin on them. Also, I will not write OCs that are siblings or relatives to the main characters because I find this concept utterly ridiculous, unless it is done in a way that does not make them overpowered Mary Sues or Gary Stus. Nor will I write stories, where main characters become of opposite gender, since I find this concept stupid. My review policy: So, while I will understand if you need to call me out on some things that you may not like in my stories, I would appreciate constructive criticism, tactfulness, consideration and trying to put it gently without strong language and insulting too much and if you need to call me out on some inconsistencies or something you don't like, don't be too mean, please. You are welcome to be either objective or subjective or both to my stories but I will appreciate tactfulness, when reviewing, since I get easily discouraged from very harsh feedback, so please, no flames. If you need to be harsh, OK but please, restrain yourselves from using very vulgar language and swearing, when reviewing my stories, since I do not like reading those in reviews, especially if such nasty language is aimed directly at me as an author and I'd appreciate if you didn't write such harsh reviews to other writers either, such as Phillipe363, who happens to be a friend of mine, since harsh language, profanities, dirty words, swearing, vulgarisms and insults really piss me off. I can be an understanding person, if someone disagrees with me and gives compelling and reasonable arguments to what I write and what I think and my own opinions but I would appreciate no swearing and if they were not harsh or trying to start an argument with me or being pushy with their arguments. I've seen various users or guest users swear in reviews at other writers before and I find that very disrespectful, tactless and insulting. And especially, I think that guest reviewers swearing at authors for their writing and spreading their negative thoughts to other users’ stories in review pages, are cowards for not wanting to be replied to and hiding behind guest reviews. And I will not tolerate any ranting or bashing or swearing or vulgarities in reviews. If the guest expects me to reply to their question, they should use a registered account on FF.net, since I do not reply to guest reviews directly in my stories on FF.net, if they ask a question. I will reply to guest reviews on AO3, however. All guest reviews asking a question in my story, will be automatically ignored and deleted, since I am not going to reply to guests directly in my stories. To them, I suggest asking on AO3 or use a registered account on FF.net, so that I can reply to their questions via PM. ! As for the guest reviews, to be blunt - If there is a guest review I do not like in regards to my story, if I find it inappropriate, redundant or offensive, if it is straight-up whining, insulting or complaining or tearing down because you disagree with something in my stories or have some flames to spout about with harsh, vulgar language and swearing or it is something I consider a very stupid question to ask, if it is something you cannot agree with me on and have arguments I find stupid or that I do not want to hear or if I find the comment unnecessary or if it has nothing to do with the story at all and I consider it irrelevant, it gets deleted. No exceptions. If you disagree with me, it better be supported with compelling, fair and reasonable arguments and better not be harsh comment or swearing or it gets deleted. If the guest review is about asking a question, I advise to create an account on FF.net, so that I can reply in PM because I do not reply to guest reviews in my stories on FF.net but I will reply to them on AO3. ! Fandoms and universes in which I plan to write but I might exceptionally go into other fandoms sometimes than the ones I shall list below: Stories Currently In Progress: Arrow story - Broken Arrow and Lost Canary - AU after 3x09 of Arrow Arrow story - In family we trust - Part of The Dar(h)k War saga Arrow/Defenders story - A Tale of Lost Souls - AU in Season 4 of Arrow and The Defenders miniseries Season 1 Planned future stories: Sequel to The Journey of a Hero More installments in The Dar(h)k War saga My story collections Arrowverse The Dar(h)k War saga Story series I have started since watching Arrow Season 5 finale in May 2017. I had originally planned the series until League of Shadows but the series has gotten so popular and so, on insistence of people, who have enjoyed this saga, I have decided to continue multiple installments beyond League of Shadows, depending on inspirations and creative ideas, crossovers included. I honestly didn’t expect this series to get so much popularity but I am very flattered that people follow this saga. Phase 1 - Damien Darhk, Ninth Circle and the League of Shadows 1. If I get another idea that would fit into this saga, I will most likely write it too. I do have planned a sequel which will have Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame vibe as a final installment of the series, which will take a while. I will also write my version of Crisis on Infinite Earths, once it airs in December 2019. Oliver and Sara: Road to Redemption CanArrow (Oliver / Sara) rewrites of Arrow Seasons 1-3. I considered doing Season 4 rewrite too but my ideas about the Season 4 didn't feel right to me, didn't have any creative changes in mind. 1. Eternal Flames 2. The Sins of the Past 3. At the Demon’s Sight Marvel Cinematic Universe The Defenders Return Trilogy I have started since all Netflix MCU TV series were cancelled, covering Iron Fist Season 2, Daredevil Season 3 and Avengers: Endgame 1. The Devil and the Black Sky: Road to Redemption 2. The Devil and the Black Sky: Reckoning 3. All for one I'm going to list down TV series that I am currently watching or have watched in the past, even though there may be more that I have enjoyed but probably have forgotten to think of. Current Favorite TV shows that I am watching: Altered Carbon Arrowverse (Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl) Black Mirror Blindspot Elementary The Expanse Futurama Grey's Anatomy Lucifer Luther Mr. Robot MCU TV shows - Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders. Rick and Morty Sherlock The Simpsons South Park Stranger Things Titans Westworld It might happen that some seasons of the TV series suck in my honest opinion, so I decide to throw "the season of the show into trash bin", so to speak but I don't want to give up on the TV series overall and I might watch them, if the reviews are good regarding the new seasons and episodes or on recommendation from a friend. Favorite TV shows that I have watched in the past: (FYI, there may be more TV shows that I have liked and enjoyed but I will not list them all below, there's quite a lot of TV series that I have watched and liked, until they lasted and were either cancelled, ended or in my opinion were boring and not interesting anymore or some plots have made me dislike and give up on the series or there are some that I liked but have forgotten about them and could not think of to list down, I watch some of them sometimes again for old times sakes on Netflix or on other online stream services and websites or I download them for rewatching) 2 Broke Girls Alias The Big Bang Theory Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and Angel Constantine Continuum Dexter Falling Skies Fear the Walking Dead Friends Full Metal Panic and Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid and Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu Game of Thrones Glee Gotham Heroes House M.D. How I Met Your Mother Charmed (1998-2005 TV series aired by the WB channel) Chuck iZombie Lost The Mentalist Merlin My Name Is Earl Naruto New Girl Numb3rs The O.C. Prison Break Salvation Sense8 Shooter Smallville Stargate: SG-1 Stargate: Atlantis Star Wars: The Clone Wars Supernatural Two and a Half Men Veronica Mars The Walking Dead Yu Yu Hakusho Cold Cases, Missing a Trace, CSI (NY, Las Vegas, Miami) and Bones There are also other TV shows that I haven't watched but would like to see because I have heard and read that they are interesting, such as Legion, Halt and Catch Fire, True Detective etc. but I have not found time to watch those and there may be other TV shows that I have liked but right now to me there are too many to think of. I don't have any problem with the classic pairings in the comic books that are canon pairing or OTP, such as Peter Parker (Spider-Man) / Mary Jane, Bruce Wayne (Batman) / Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Remy LeBeau (Gambit) / Anna Marie (Rogue), Clark Kent (Superman) / Lois Lane, Scott Summers (Cyclops) / Jean Grey, Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) / Susan Storm (Invisible Woman) etc. but there are some pairings in TV show or film adaptations of comic books that I do not like due to how they are executed. The pairings that I approve of in fandoms, either canon or those I would like to see, are the ones that I am most likely going to write in my stories. As for the pairings I disapprove of, unless it is a breakup or to show why do I think why would these not work or a humorous situation with them, I am not going to write those, ever. And if I have mixed opinion on pairing, that means I would approve if it was handled differently but currently I don’t like the execution, concept or portrayal of the pairing. My opinions on pairings depend on the characters' dynamic, chemistry and how well they interact with each other and can relate to each other. So, I am most likely never going to write stories with pairings that I dislike and don’t approve of (which are listed below), unless it is a breakup or to show why it would not work out between the paired characters. And I am NOT going to write incest or slash pairings that are not canon in any of my stories, certainly not in comic book fandoms (Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Arrowverse, Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Extended Universe, Smallville etc.), ever. Save for some rare exceptions that I shall mention below later, most of these pairings are in my opinion total and complete bullshit and insult to the actual relationships in fandoms. I might write female slash but male slash or incest, NEVER ANYWHERE, nor am I going to read those. Pairings in Charmed Over the course of the show, the sisters were constantly struggling with their romantic lives. Of all sisters, Piper had the most stable romantic relationship with Leo, while the remaining sisters (save for Prue, who had been written off and killed off in Season 3, because of the actress' Shannen Doherty's issues with alcoholism and fallout with another actress, Alyssa Milano), eventually found their match and had short-lived romances until then. I will not mention all relationships because over the course of the show, they had various romantic interests, I will list only those that I think really mattered in the show. But I soured on Phoebe due to her being emotional and her constant need to get a baby. Prue Halliwell / Andy Trudeau Piper Halliwell / Leo Wyatt Paige Matthews / Henry Mitchell Paige Matthews / Richard Montana Paige Matthews / Kyle Brody Phoebe Halliwell / Cole Turner Cole later returned back from the Demonic Wasteland, possessing numerous demonic powers, while not being a demon anymore. Cole sought to make amends with Phoebe but she treated him quite badly and mistrusted him, causing for him to go insane and his obsession with Phoebe, while it was obvious that she would never take him back, was his downfall. But even, when condemned to cosmic void between life and death as punishment for his sins, he loved Phoebe enough to convince Drake, a demon turned human and destined to die, to help Phoebe believe in love again. He later sought redemption and helped Piper find reincarnated Prue and after seeing that he was sincere in making amends, Phoebe and Cole did reconcile. Phoebe Halliwell / Drake dé Mon Phoebe Halliwell / Coop Pairings in Buffyverse that I approve of Buffy Summers / Spike Willow Rosenberg / Tara McClay Angel / Cordelia Chase Angel / Darla Angel / Nina Ash There certainly was some attraction and had a potential to develop further but it was too short to find out. Xander Harris / Cordelia Chase Disliked pairings in Buffyverse If I "disapprove" of the pairing, the verb says it all. If I "have a mixed opinion", that means that I would approve of it, if it had been handled differently than in the canon but currently I do not approve of it but would like to see a better handled, refined version of the relationship in fanfiction stories. I will not write stories with pairings I disapprove of, unless it is a breakup or to show why it would not work. If I have a mixed opinion about it, I would try a more improved and refined spin on the relationship in my stories. I will not write stories with pairings I disapprove of, unless it is a breakup or to show why it would not work. If I have a mixed opinion about it, I would try to write a more improved and refined spin on the relationship in my stories. Buffy Summers / Angel (Mixed opinion) I might consider writing stories with this pairing more refined but it is very unlikely. Buffy Summers / Riley Finn (Disapprove) This pairing had some potential but I think there was too much bad blood between them. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Buffy Summers / Faith Lehane (Disapprove) Buffy and Faith are mirror reflections of each other. Buffy is more serious and responsible, whereas Faith is care-free, laid-back, impulsive and promiscuous and their lives are polar opposites, Buffy has always had loving parents and friends, whereas Faith has been always alone, with abusive parents, which made Faith quite jealous of Buffy at first before she started to treat her and respect her as an equal. Although, later Faith matured and was willing to atone for her past sins and mistakes, looking for redemption, with her and Buffy moving past their differences and having a bit of a rocky friendship at best. There is some sexual subtext there, I will admit but I do not ship them. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Xander Harris / Faith Lehane (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Xander Harris / Anya Jenkins (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Willow Rosenberg / Kennedy (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories. Faith Lehane / Robin Wood (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories. Wesley Wyndham-Pryce / Lilah Morgan (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories. Wesley Wyndham-Pryce / Fred Burkle (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Angel / Fred Burkle (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories. Charles Gunn / Fred Burkle (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Connor / Cordelia Chase (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Pairings in Star Wars Anakin Skywalker / Padme Amidala Luke Skywalker / Mara Jade Han Solo / Leia Organa Galen Marek (Starkiller) / Juno Eclipse Disliked Pairings in Star Wars I will not write stories with pairings I disapprove of, unless it is a breakup or to show why it would not work. If I have a mixed opinion about it, I would try a more improved and refined spin on the relationship in my stories. Kylo Ren / Rey (Disapprove) I won't lie, the idea of the pairing did cross my mind and I considered how would the ship look like but the concept of the pairing is too stupid for me to actually care about it. Kylo Ren seems like a big baby with daddy, or rather granddaddy issues and Rey seems like a Mary-Sue, with her being able to control the Force with what would take years of training and she was able to defeat Kylo Ren in lightsaber fight, despite her having no formal training whatsoever and I think it is very unlikely that Rey could redeem Kylo Ren. I think Rey is more of a feminism propaganda tool from Disney. The idea of the pairing itself is freaking stupid and I think anyone, who ships them, doesn't have all their marbles. This pairing will not be around in my stories because the concept is too stupid for me to actually care about it and I don’t support most fan service ships. Continuum Official synopsis (Copied and pasted from Wikipedia) A lot of reviews have argued that Continuum advances a pro-corporate, anti-democracy viewpoint. It doesn't, but you could be forgiven for thinking that. Most American shows have a clear good guy (the protagonist) and a clear bad guy (the antagonists). This show, however, follows the Canadian tendency to operate in shades of grey. Continuum presents two opposing factions, and asks the viewer to make up their own mind whether they agree with the protagonist or the antagonists. I personally didn't mind the constant reminder of corporate control and “extremist freedom fighter stuff” and I think it is one of the best sci-fi time travel shows I have ever seen. I liked the concept, where Kiera fights for her future, even more to ensure a better life for her family and her constant struggle with living stranded in the present, away from her son and husband, with only a handful of friends she can lean onto, while not being able to return to her son and husband. Later, she questions, whether she wants to really return to the future she is in, when she sees there is more grey area than black and white, seeing that the Global Corporate Congress she works for in the future, that consists of companies, that exist in the present, did amoral and questionable things, both in the past and the future, making her reconsider, whether she should fight for the people she always has, in the present (the past from her perspective). And she's not the only one, who later struggles with the perspective on the future and the cause they fight for, as the protagonists in the present, realizing, who they become in the future and Liber8, the extremists from the future, trying to conquer the present to control the future, find out, what impact do their actions have on the future, not making it the way they intended to, making them all reconsider their intentions and ideals and moral perspectives, questioning, which path is right, in order to create a better future. I'm not speaking from my own interpretation but the official stance of the people behind the show. The "choose your side" mentality has been presented repeatedly in an explicit manner, for example, on the Continuum Facebook page, where one post asked, "Which side are you on? Team Kiera or Team Liber8?" I personally do not approve of Liber8’s extremist methods but understand their cause. Kiera seems more like a misguided protector at first before seeing the world more in shades of grey, making her question which future and which path to take, for her own and her family’s sake. The show doesn't choose a side, but instead presents an interesting challenge to viewers which some won't be ready to meet: - "The Freedom Fighters - Liber8 (antagonists) use brutal extremist methods to accomplish their goals, but their cause is just." Pairings in Continuum Over the course of the show, rather than romance, Kiera was more focused on returning back to her husband and son in the future in 2077, so she wasn't too interested in any love interests, when stranded in the present and there were just two potential love interests she had over the course of the show, and those were Brad and Kellog, putting aside her husband Greg, from the future. The other pairings I’m gonna mention, are those I've seen in fanfiction stories and I don't like any of them, save for Kiera/Carlos pairing. What makes me sad about the show though, was that, while in the end, Kiera managed to ensure a better future for her husband and son, when she returned to her time, she couldn't interact with her son or husband, due to Kiera from the future she had created, already being there, leaving the main character only destined to watch their happiness from afar. Even though the show is very pro-corporate and anti-democratic, I like the time travel concept and Kiera's constant emotional struggle due to missing her family in the future, while she is stranded in the present, separated from them. Kiera Cameron / Greg Cameron Kiera Cameron / Alec Sadler There is a lot of trust between them as he is linked to her tech, via his computer 24/7 and he helps her socialize in the present to avoid awkward situations and in return, she helps him set himself on a better path, than the one in the future. How the fanfiction writers think that these two could become a couple is beyond me. Kiera Cameron / Matthew Kellog While there may be a faint attraction between them, Kiera is more loyal to her husband and son and knows better than to get that close to Kellog, unless she's emotionally vulnerable and I honestly didn't see any chemistry between them. Good that it didn't go anywhere beyond one fling in a vulnerable moment. Kiera Cameron / Carlos Fonnegra Carlos even gives Kiera a benefit of the doubt, when the Internal Affairs puts her under investigation, due to her unbelievable efficiency and when there was a mole in the department, who was not her, even when the facts are against her. Ultimately, he believes her, that she is from the future, when she almost dies at the hands of a serial killer and he first-handedly witnesses her use of her future tech and their trust then deepened, when she tells him everything. From that point, their partnership, trust and friendship deepens even more and even if she does some morally questionable things to protect the future and he doesn't like it, he still trusts her enough to ultimately let her do the right thing in the end. Kiera Cameron / Jasmine Garza Kiera Cameron / Brad Tonkin Plus, he feels deep guilt about killing Kiera in an alternate timeline, since at that time, he saw her just as an enemy soldier, deepening his relationship with her. When Brad's comrades from the future come to present, at first, Brad is on their side because he wants to save his family, straining his and Kiera's relationship, even more, when Brad (on instinct and in self-defense) kills one of Kiera's partners. When Brad realizes the intention of his people from the future, to invade and conquer the present, Brad turns to Kiera's side, becoming a double agent and saving the present and helping Kiera get to the future to her family. Bit ruined but wasn't bad but it was obvious it wouldn't last for long, due to Kiera wanting to return back to her husband and son in her time. Favorite Characters in Marvel Comics Steve Rogers (Captain America), Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Bruce Banner (Hulk), Peter Parker (Spider-Man), Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman), Stephen Strange (Doctor Strange), Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Thanos, Elektra Natchios, Luke Cage, Danny Rand (Iron Fist), Frank Castle (Punisher), Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Thor, Tony Stark (Iron Man), Logan (Wolverine), Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), Jean Grey, Kitty Pryde, Remy LeBeau (Gambit), Wade Wilson (Deadpool) Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Rogue, Ant-Man (Hank Pym and Scott Lang), Flash Thompson (Agent Venom, until he died in Amazing Spider-Man Vol 1 #800) In Marvel Comics, there is no pairing about which I have any complaints, I like all the classic pairings in Marvel, except for Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) / Vision, since I find it weird that someone as powerful as Wanda is romantically involved with an android like Vision and she also used her magic to give birth to twin boys. This is a messed up pairing, in my opinion. Steve Rogers (Captain America) / Sharon Carter Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier) / Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) Clint Barton (Hawkeye) / Bobbi Morse (Mockingbird) Matt Murdock (Daredevil) / Elektra Natchios Matt Murdock (Daredevil) / Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) Matt Murdock (Daredevil) / Karen Page Peter Parker (Spider-Man) / Gwen Stacy Peter Parker (Spider-Man) / Mary Jane Watson Peter Parker (Spider-Man) / Felicia Hardy (Black Cat) Luke Cage / Jessica Jones Scott Summers (Cyclops) / Jean Grey Logan (Wolverine) / Jean Grey Remy LeBeau (Gambit) / Anne Marie (Rogue) There are more pairings in Marvel Comics that I like but I am not gonna list them all down, since there are too many to think of. Favorite Characters in X-Men film series James "Logan" Howlett (Wolverine), Wade Wilson (Deadpool), Jean Grey (Phoenix), Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto), Peter Maximoff (Quicksilver), Raven Darkholme (Mystique) Pairings in X-Men film series I haven't minded any of the pairings in the film series that were canon so far. Logan / Jean Grey Logan / Kayla Silverfox Logan / Mariko Yashida Scott Summers / Jean Grey Charles Xavier / Moira MacTaggert Raven Darkholme / Hank McCoy Raven Darkholme / Erik Lehnsherr Bobby Drake / Rogue Bobby Drake / Kitty Pryde Wade Wilson / Vanessa Favorite Characters in Marvel Cinematic Universe (films and TV shows) Steve Rogers (Captain America), Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Bruce Banner (The Hulk), T'Challa (Black Panther), Clint Barton (Hawkeye), Peter Parker (Spider-Man), James "Rhodey" Rhodes (War Machine), Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch), Stephen Strange (Doctor Strange), Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Elektra Natchios, Luke Cage, Danny Rand (Iron Fist), Colleen Wing, Frank Castle (The Punisher), Peter Quill (Star-Lord), Rocket Raccoon, Drax, Groot, Gamora, Nebula, Thanos, Scott Lang (Ant-Man), Hope Van Dyne (Wasp), John McIver (Bushmaster), Hank Pym, Phil Coulson, Nick Fury, Leo Fitz, Jemma Simmons, Bobbi Morse (Mockingbird), Lance Hunter, Daisy "Skye" Johnson (Quake), Lincoln Campbell, Robbie Reyes (Ghost Rider), Tony Stark (Iron Man) - I used to like him until Captain America: Civil War but after Avengers: Endgame, he's back to being among my favorite characters. I just wish he had been called out on his mistakes and actually faced the consequences or at least taken responsibility for them. Disliked Characters in Marvel Cinematic Universe (films and TV shows) I don’t hate any characters by the literal meaning, I more like hate what the writers did to them. I like most of the characters in MCU and while some characters, such as Tony Stark regarding the Avengers and Sokovian Accords and Foggy Nelson and Karen Page regarding Matt being Daredevil can tick me off, I honestly can understand their attitude. I don't dislike them to the core but I have mixed feelings about them. Foggy Nelson Karen Page I don't dislike Karen as a character, I dislike how she was handled in MCU and in comic books. I actually think she is a fine character but she has been treated badly. She had a lot of bad on her plate, even before Daredevil Season 1, due to her being responsible for her brother's death in a car accident, while she was drunk because she was young kid back then, so she can get quite emotional due to her guilt complex and Matt telling her his secret about being Daredevil was the last straw but she tried to make amends with him and showed remorse about how she had treated him later in Daredevil Season 3, so I softened around her and I liked the relationship she had with Frank Castle in The Punisher, the need to help him. Trish Walker Preferred Pairings (canon pairings I approve of and potential pairings I would like to see) in Marvel Cinematic Universe (films and TV shows) Tony Stark / Pepper Potts There are some things that I don't like about Tony. Tony in Captain America: Civil War and in Spider-Man: Homecoming was a total jerk and I'm not sure if Pepper would still be at Tony's side despite all that crap he has done and she has repeatedly shown that she cannot be anywhere near Tony, either due to his self-destructive behavior or because of anything that somehow involves the Avengers business. However, Pepper does bring out the better part of Tony and he tries to mature and be better because of her. This pairing has its good days and bad days and while I like it, I wonder why hasn't Pepper called Tony out on his shenanigans yet. I might write stories with this pairing handled better but also, I will write stories in which Pepper calls Tony out on his crap. However, while I had mixed opinion on it throughout the course of Marvel Cinematic Universe, Avengers: Endgame won me over. Tony Stark / Maya Hansen I could see them make it work, if she had not died. Steve Rogers / Peggy Carter Steve Rogers / Sharon Carter (Mixed opinion) Steve Rogers / Natasha Romanoff Plus, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson have been long-time friends in real life since they were teenagers, so in every movie, where they play together, they have good dynamic and chemistry. Bucky Barnes / Natasha Romanoff Bucky Barnes / Wanda Maximoff Clint Barton / Natasha Romanoff I would be curious to see how could this pairing become more and they have good dynamic together. Clint Barton / Laura Barton Scott Lang / Hope van Dyne This has a bit of a romantic comedy vibe. Stephen Strange / Christine Palmer Bruce Banner / Betty Ross Peter Parker / Michelle Jones Leo Fitz / Jemma Simmons Matt Murdock / Elektra Natchios They have different viewpoints on the world but still care about each other, despite their disagreements, they have good dynamic BUT Elektra goes to much greater and more extreme lengths than Matt. She is more ruthless and takes more drastic and extreme measures, while Matt shows restraint and has sense of morality and limits he would never cross, not until under extreme pressure. And Elektra is a woman, who would push Matt to extreme measures. This pairing frankly creeps me out due to how extreme and tragic this pairing is but I think Elektra is a viable romantic option for Matt. Jessica Jones / Luke Cage I like them in comic books but in MCU it just doesn't sit with me for some reason, mainly due to the circumstances of the relationship in MCU, although there is good dynamic and chemistry between them. If it had been handled differently in the show, I'd be OK with it but can't say I'm complaining about it either. Jessica Jones / Oscar Arocho I think this relationship had a good potential. Luke Cage / Misty Knight Well, the only thing I don't like about this pairing is how much she disliked him at first due to his powers. Luke Cage / Claire Temple Unfortunately, she was later unable to put up with Luke so focused on vigilante business and Luke being angry at his father and her failed attempts at making Luke make amends with him ended up in break up. In this case, I didn’t blame her. Danny Rand / Colleen Wing This was a good pairing and their chemistry was great but Danny’s unresolved issues with his best friend from K’un-L’un and inner struggle with the duty of the Iron Fist sadly lead into breakup, even though they still treat each other as equal partners. Clint Barton / Bobbi Morse Lance Hunter / Bobbi Morse Daisy Johnson (Skye) / Robbie Reyes The concept did intrigue me and I think it had potential, had either of them shown greater level of affection for the other but they were more on friendly terms. I don't know if I'd ever write stories with this pairing but I think it had potential if it was developed well. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Disliked Pairings in Marvel Cinematic Universe (films and TV shows) If I "disapprove" of the pairing, the verb says it all. If I "have a mixed opinion", that means that I would approve of it, if it had been handled differently than in the canon but currently I do not approve of it but would like to see a better handled, refined version of the relationship in fanfiction stories. I'm not gonna write stories with pairings I disapprove of, unless it is a breakup or to show why it would not work. And a note to add, I think that doing non-canon slash homosexual pairings in Marvel Cinematic Universe, such as Steve / Bucky or Steve / Tony is complete and total bullshit and I wonder what are people, who are writing these pairings, smoking, since I find these gay/lesbian/slash/incest pairings that are not canon completely insulting and disgusting, so don't expect me to write these or read them, ever. I certainly am not going to read these in Marvel Cinematic Universe and I wonder whether people that write these fics with slash or incest pairings, stop to think about how disgusting do these pairings look. People that write or read such pairings in Marvel Cinematic Universe in fanfiction are frankly in my opinion disrespectful and insulting towards the characters and the fans of Marvel Cinematic Universe and I have to wonder at whether they are mentally ill, since I find any non-canon slash (gay and lesbian) or incest pairings in any comic book fandom disgusting, offending and disrespectful, both towards the fans and characters. Bruce Banner / Natasha Romanoff (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, since I think it's complete bullshit. Peter Quill / Gamora (Disapprove) They have good dynamic and are close friends but I don't see this becoming anything more than that, mainly because Peter often hits Gamora's nerves with his childish personality, while Gamora is very hardened and serious and there is no romantic chemistry between them. They're better off as friends rather than lovers. The constant banter and Peter's vain flirting with Gamora is amusing in comic books but in the films it's more like pathetic. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Wanda Maximoff / Vision (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Frank Castle / Karen Page (Disapprove) She gets often sucked into Frank's orbit and it's up to him to save her from danger and when he needs help, he turns to her and asks her for help but also warns her to keep her distance and be careful and she is still willing to help him and does what she can to aid him, despite the trouble she had already gotten into just by being near him, causing for Frank to protect her from danger as much as he can. I like the protective bond they have between each other. Unlikely pairing to happen but I can see why some people would like that as I see the faint attraction between them and the romantic subtext. It certainly has that kind of potential but I don’t see it happening and I think it would fan service to pair them both and I don’t see it working out in long-term, since Frank would rather keep his distance and be only as close to Karen as he believes is appropriate, in order to protect her from the danger he faces. I don't support fan service pairings that I don't believe can work. I will not write this pairing in my stories, the interactions between them in my stories are most likely gonna be friendly-based relationship at best. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Daisy Johnson (Skye) / Grant Ward (Disapprove) Just what exactly he saw in her? She didn't seem like his type either and I didn’t like the pairing from the start mainly because Skye was half Ward’s age, it was a bit creepy, like “teacher/young student in romantic relationship” creepy and I wonder how was Ward still attracted to her after revealing himself to be a psychopath and Skye hating him to the core. Frankly, this pairing was pointless right from the start. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Daisy Johnson (Skye) / Lincoln Campbell (Mixed opinion) Their chemistry was OK, in my opinion but not strong enough at some moments. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Alphonso "Mack" Mackenzie / Elena "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez (Mixed opinion) They have good dynamic as a team and their bond of friendship is strong but I see little to no chemistry between them. I can see the friendship bond and maybe the subtext but not the romantic attraction as it is supposed to. Maybe it's just how I myself see it. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Thor Odinson / Jane Foster (Mixed opinion) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Matt Murdock / Claire Temple (Disapprove) Claire often whines about her life being normal before she had met Matt and scolds him for being Daredevil that it’s gonna get him killed but she can understand that the city needs vigilantes like him. I honestly don’t think this could ever work out. What were the writers thinking? It was forced and Claire treated Matt badly, where Daredevil was concerned. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Matt Murdock / Karen Page (Mixed opinion) Plus, once Matt revealed to her his secret, she didn't take it well, nor was she treating him much better after that but still had some respect towards him, which was mainly due to the strained friendship between Matt and Foggy which Karen noticed and neither of them had given her a good explanation, so her later negative attitude towards Matt might be because of the fact that he kept his secret identity a secret from her and that neither Matt or Foggy gave her a proper explanation of their strained friendship, when Foggy had discovered Matt’s secret, since both of them lied to her. I didn’t like how she was a bitch towards Matt but I could understand why. But later, she did show remorse over how she had treated him and wanted to make amends with him. If it had been handled differently, I wouldn't have any problem with that but I just don't see the chemistry between them in the show, it's more like brother/sister relationship. Under any other circumstances, I might ship them. I am mixed on this pairing both in MCU and in comic books. While she and Matt did reconcile later and were later on more friendly terms, I don't see any romance happening between them. Too much emotional baggage and history. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it will most likely be a short-time deal since they're better off as friends that reconciled, rather than lovers. Trish Walker / Will Simpson (Mixed opinion) At first I wasn't sure about it but didn't complain too much until the revelation with the drugs that Simpson had been taking, then it was obvious that it was gonna be a doomed romance. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Trish Walker / Malcolm DuCasse (Disapprove) This pairing was stupid right from the start, so this pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Phil Coulson / Melinda May (Disapprove) While she truly cares about Coulson and wants to help him, no matter what, sometimes she treats him like crap. Her LMD (Life Model Decoy) itself confirmed that May had some feelings towards Coulson but there is no chemistry there. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Tony Stark: Hero or villain? Whem I was a kid, I admired Tony right from the first Iron Man film. However, really looking at Tony's character throughout the MCU, I have to wonder if Tony can be considered a hero or a villain, since the word "villain" seems to fit him more right from the second Iron Man film, Iron Man 2. But after Avengers: Endgame, I think Tony has redeemed himself, however, there are still issues with him that need to be addressed. Iron Man 2: What made the first film so great was Tony's character arc of a weapons dealer and irresponsible CEO who realized he did more harm that good turning his company around and deciding to undo all the harm he had done. But the second film pretty much undoes all the character he has in the first film. Tony is just portrayed as an arrogant jackass all throughout the film. He's constantly bragging about his achievements and his decision to keep the Iron Man suit to himself, rather than being because he wants to keep it out of the wrong hands, just comes off as Tony having too big an ego to let them have it. Tony's arrogance even creates a villain, as the only reason Justin Hammer becomes an antagonist in the film is because Tony publicly humiliates him. We are repeatedly shown scenes where Hammer and Whiplash watch television and getting pissed off every time they see Tony on screen, so Tony's ego technically creates two villains. And Tony's downward spiral is poor writing. He alienates everyone around him because of his decision to keep his poor health to himself and I'm not even gonna touch on how he endangers people by fighting Rhodey in a house full of innocent bystanders. Iron Man 3: This is more Tony being a poor protagonist than an actual villain, but still, I have to cover this one. Following Avengers, where Tony was at his most heroic, there was no place for Tony's character to go but down. The moral of this movie is that Tony is a dick to everyone. The movie's villain only became a villain because Tony was dick to him years earlier. Tony is even a dick to Harley, who is the only person trying to help him at his lowest point. Tony's ego continues to put people in danger, as he gives a known terrorist his address, which nearly gets himself and Pepper killed. Tony is obviously suffering from PTSD, but because of his ego, he won't talk about it with Pepper or Rhodey or get help, even after this nearly causes one of his suits to nearly strangle Pepper. Avengers - Age of Ultron: And here we return to Tony being a villain. After being shown a vision of the Avengers defeat, Tony decides it would be a great idea to plug Ultron, a program he realized was flawed but didn't do anything about, into unknown alien tech without telling any of his teammates but Bruce Banner. Predictably, this goes horribly wrong. Because Ultron had Tony as a template, it decides the best way to save the Earth is to destroy the human race. You think Tony would learn his lesson from this, but no, he does the exact same thing with Vision, all but forcing Bruce to help him. Its a miracle that Vision didn't end up becoming a second Ultron. And let's not forget the only reason any of this happened was because of Tony's years of irresponsibility as CEO of Stark Industries. Captain America - Civil War: Tony, wracked with guilt over Ultron, is looking for absolution and decides The Accords will give him that. And his need for absolution makes him increasingly irrational over the course of the movie. He dismisses Steve's concerns about The Accords, makes Wanda a glorified prisoner at the compound, and tries to manipulate Steve into signing The Accords. He refuses to listen to Steve's warning about The Winter Soldiers, which leads to the fight at the airport and several of his teammates' incarceration on The Raft. Yet Tony does nothing to help them, even after he himself breaks The Accords twice. And let’s not forget that Tony tries to murder an innocent man for something he had no control over. Spider-Man - Homecoming: Once again, Tony causes the threat by putting Adrian Toomes out of work, all but forcing Toomes to turn to a life of crime to support his family, despite the fact that it would have been quiet easy for Tony to set up Toomes with a job. And Tony is just an overall terrible mentor to Peter. Basically kidnapping him in Captain America: Civil War, giving him faulty intel, then abandoning him after he's done with Peter. He doesn't tell Peter he called the FBI on Peter's intel, which causes Peter to mess up their operation. Then, Tony turns it around and makes it Peter's fault when Tony is the one who didn't keep Peter in the loop. And can we just talk about how messed up it is that Tony gave a teenager military grade weapons? Seriously, what was Tony thinking? In conclusion, is Tony a hero or a villain? While his intentions may be good, Tony ends up creating almost every threat he and his Avenger teammates go up against. He's a lot like Batman when you think about it. Like Batman, Tony creates his fair share of villains and threats. Up until Avengers: Endgame, it seemed that rather than Tony trying to learn from his mistakes, he either kept repeating them or making more but in Avengers: Endgame, Tony did his best to make things right. Favorite Characters in DC Comics Batman (Bruce Wayne), Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Red Hood (Jason Todd), Batgirl/Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Red Robin (Tim Drake), Huntress (Helena Bertinelli), Catwoman (Selina Kyle), Lady Shiva, Spoiler (Stephanie Brown), Superman (Clark Kent/Kal-El), Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), The Flash (Barry Allen), Wonder Woman (Diana Prince), Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), Black Canary (Dinah Laurel Lance) - not the version of Dinah in DC Rebirth, Speedy (Mia Dearden), Arsenal (Roy Harper), Starfire (Koriand'r), John Constantine, Zatanna Zatara, Doctor Fate, Slade Wilson (Deathstroke) Preferred Pairings in DC Comics Bruce Wayne (Batman) / Selina Kyle (Catwoman) and Dick Grayson (Nightwing) / Barbara Gordon (Batgirl) Dick and Barbara have been together through so many adventures and emotional challenges that they have a strong bond that lasts even when they are not in relationship with each other. Though currently, Dick can rarely keep a girlfriend for long and as far as I know, Barbara is single but eventually they are always there for each other, either romantically or as the closest friends. Clark Kent (Superman) / Lois Lane (Mixed opinion) Dick Grayson (Nightwing) / Helena Bertinelli (Huntress) Dick Grayson (Robin/Nightwing) / Kori'andr (Starfire) Tim Drake (Red Robin) / Stephanie Brown (Spoiler) Oliver Queen (Green Arrow) / Dinah Lance (Black Canary) Carter Hall (Hawkman) / Kendra Saunders or Shiera Saunders (Hawkgirl) Barry Allen (The Flash) / Iris West Barry Allen (The Flash) / Patty Spivot Disliked Pairings in DC Comics Bruce Wayne (Batman) / Talia al Ghul Even though Talia hates Ra’s for who he is and what he has done to her, she still loves Ra’s as her father and she is torn between her love for Bruce and loyalty towards Ra’s. Even though she became disillusioned by the League of Assassins and her father's mission, eventually, she became also disillusioned of everything and went on her own path, which is not inherently good or bad and there's a lot of grey area but still, Bruce disapproves of her methods, due to her egomaniacal agenda, obsessive loyalty to Ra's and there are differences of opinions between them. I wonder why Bruce hasn’t given up on her and I'm not a supporter of "on and off" relationships that cannot be resolved and often end up with one party betraying the other and Bruce / Talia pairing is pure toxic due to Talia being a psychopath. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it will be a breakup or calling Talia out on her crap. Clark Kent (Superman) / Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) I will not write stories with this pairing, unless I try to show why it would not work. Bruce Wayne (Batman) / Diana Prince (Wonder Woman) The most likely scenario would be a one-night stand that quickly fizzles out. Why The Dark Knight is the most overrated Superhero film of all time: I used to enjoy the film, when I was younger. The plot regarding the Joker was excellent, however, as I grew older and kept on re-watching the film, it became more and more clear to me that some things just don't work out here. Boring arguments: Batman, Gordon, and Dent repeatedly meet on rooftops to argue about the corruption in the system and how much they don't trust each other. And these scenes aren't interesting or compelling, they're boring. The more times you've seen the film, the more boring they get. I personally almost fall asleep during these scenes by this point. Rachel is an unlikable female lead: She strings along both Harvey and Bruce, cheating on Harvey by kissing Bruce and giving Bruce hope only to yank the rug out from under him by telling him "Sorry, but I'm gonna be with Harvey instead" in a letter of all things. And she's a bitch to both of them about their respective attempts to save Gotham. Honestly, what either of them see in her is beyond me. And then she's turned into a plot device to turn Harvey into Two-Face, which brings me to my next point. Harvey's transformation into Two-face: In the comics, Two-Face is this ruthless crime lord who will cut down anyone who stands in his way. But in the film, he's reduced to this big baby whining about how his girlfriend died. And ultimately, it doesn't work because you just want to pour Harvey a drink and say, "Dude, she's not worth it." Smallville (If you have not watched Smallville or are not familiar with the TV series, you are welcome to skip this part) I used to watch Smallville back, when I was a kid but when I started to attend high school, I had already grown up from the comic book like action on the TV but I still think it is good TV series regarding Superman's origin. However, when it was re-airing on TV and I got the chance to re-watch some episodes, I noticed that some pairings were quite messy and I shall explain below my opinions on pairings in the show. Preferred Pairings in Smallville Clark Kent / Lois Lane Clark Kent / Chloe Sullivan Clark Kent / Alicia Baker After she was released, she seemed remorseful of her past actions and wanting to redeem herself, even willing to take a bullet to protect Clark's secret. Convinced that she had changed, Clark gave Alicia another chance as she was helping him with his inner struggle that no one would have accepted him if they had known about his powers. But this relationship ended tragically, when she was killed. Clark Kent / Tess Mercer Oliver Queen / Tess Mercer They have same goal, yet each of them use different methods. Eventually, Oliver gave her another chance and they were working things out between each other. While he ultimately chose Chloe over her, he and Tess remained on friendly terms. Oliver Queen / Chloe Sullivan Jimmy Olsen / Chloe Sullivan However, this relationship was sabotaged due to Chloe's emotional connection to Clark and Davis and her wanting to help them, making Jimmy jealous but ultimately, he was able to understand that the whole time she had been trying to protect him and they both reconciled shortly before Davis killed Jimmy as Jimmy's final words were that he loved Chloe. Disliked Pairings in Smallville Clark Kent / Lana Lang The first time I watched Smallville, I was sad that they broke up and then reconciled and then were forced to break up later but re-watching the show again later, I realized what kind of a bitch Lana became by the time they broke up, with her later selfishness and hidden agenda constantly putting Clark and his friends and people that he cared about, in danger. This pairing should have ended at Season 5-6 of Smallville, so that the show would focus in Clark / Lois, since starting from Season 5, Lana treated Clark badly, even though they reconciled later in Season 6 but in Season 7-8, Lana constantly kept putting Clark, Oliver, Lois and Chloe in danger with her hidden agenda and lies and secrets. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to call Lana out on her crap or a breakup or to show why it cannot work. Arrowverse (If you do not watch any of the shows in Arrowverse - Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, do not bother reading any further beyond this point and you are welcome to skip this part) Arrow Seasons 1-2 were OK. Now, to address the announcement of Season 8 of Arrow being the last one and having only 10 episodes: (Copied and pasted from Arlyss Maligue before it was erased, adding in my own thoughts): Now, based on the announcement, I think the following speculations are most likely: First: Oliver is going to die in the Crisis. One of the main themes of Season 7, aside from redemption was how much family means to Oliver and Felicity. It is very unlikely that Oliver would stay away from Felicity and Mia for two decades, and its obvious that Mia never knew her father the way she talked about Felicity telling her about him in Season 7. And if Oliver was alive, he would have found William once his son turned 18 to try and reconnect. I think it's most likely Mark of Four tattoo was Oliver’s lasting legacy after we learned more about it. Second: The flash-forwards are probably only going to happen in this season, with Season 8’s nine non-crossover episodes (ten episodes total with one being the crossover contribution) tying up loose ends and setting the stage for the dark future that William and Mia inhabit, including the events of the Glades Uprising that’s been mentioned. Third: It is an awful lot of work to set up this future story without more of a pay-off, so I would give good odds that once Arrow is finished, they will be creating a spin-off with William, Mia, Zoe, Connor, etc. The Flash I don't like Barry / Iris pairing nor WestAllen drama in the show and with each season it's getting worse and worse. Season 5 attempted to fix it but it was a poor attempt. Supergirl I liked the action and plot of Worldkillers in Season 3 and I liked that Mon-El greatly matured in that season. However, Kara's ego has quite grown to a level of a God complex and she was greatly upset by Lena having found out how to make Kryptonite, which she had in possession JUST IN CASE Supergirl went rogue and Kara used James' relationship with Lena to spy on her and this strained the friendship between Supergirl and Lena. I think it is likely that if Lena ever found out that Kara had been lying to her and keeping secret that she is Supergirl, alongside with how she had been treating Lena as Kara and as Supergirl, Lena may become Kara's mortal enemy, just like Clark and Lex. In Season 4, Kara has not shown any signs of ego or self-righteousness unlike in Season 3 but there was a lot of political agenda in the two thirds of the season, such as racism, equality among humans and aliens, xenophobia and fear etc., which was annoying a bit but it wasn't too pushy. Then, the final third, with Lex Luthor's and the Red Daughter's storyline, it greatly improved. Legends of Tomorrow Favorite Characters in Arrowverse Oliver Queen, Laurel Lance (Earth-1), Black Siren (Earth-2 Laurel Lance), Sara Lance, Nyssa al Ghul, Slade Wilson, Roy Harper, Quentin Lance, Rene Ramirez (True, he often acts like a hot-headed idiot but he is able to admit that he makes mistakes and was the one in the wrong, at least faster than Curtis or Dinah and is willing to make up for what he did, from the recruits, he's the most OK), John Constantine (I enjoyed his show on NBC before it was cancelled), Ben Turner, Adrian Chase (Prometheus), Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon, Caitlin Snow, Joe West, Eobard Thawne (from Season 1 of The Flash), Leonard Snart, Mick Rory, Ralph Dibny, Patty Spivot, Zari Tomaz, Winn Schott, Kara Danvers (in Season 3 of Supergirl, she was annoying, though), J'onn J'onzz, Brainy Disliked characters in Arrowverse Felicity Smoak However, she has matured and become more tolerable in Season 6, so I might go easy on her and treat her better despite that there still are some missteps with her and she is lightly insulting and disrespectful at the very least and at worst, she gets her feelings get the better of her, she takes matters into her own hands and her ideas make things worse. But, she has regained a lot of my respect she used to have in Seasons 1-2, considering that she defended Earth-2 Laurel and was on her side, giving her a benefit of the doubt, no matter what, so right now I'm more or less fine with her. Examples of what I did not like about Felicity were Felicity protesting at every single turn about Oliver working with Malcolm Merlyn in Season 3, despite that she should understand that he had no other choice left. Nowadays, I'm more or less OK with Felicity but she has a lot of flaws that I cannot overlook so easily. John Diggle Then, Season 5, he judged Lyla for locking up Cayden James with no due trial. How about looking back at Slade Wilson and Digger Harkness on Lian Yu? Then, Season 6, Diggle became a self-righteous, selfish jerk about wanting the role of Green Arrow and secretly buying drugs for his nerve damage. Over the Season 6, Diggle became the complete opposite of who he was when he was initially introduced in Arrow, even though in Season 7, he more or less came around, but then, in 7x10 he decided to recruit Diaz into Ghost Initiative, a revamped version of Suicide Squad, when Diggle himself has had issues with the Suicide Squad in the past and his past lecturing of Lyla, Waller and Oliver and when it was not his decision to make and he basically forced Lyla to reinstate it. But he later took responsibility for the blowback, when it did not go well with it in 7x14, so he gets a pass from me. In summary, Diggle can often be a hypocrite and inconsistent with his character, with criticizing Lyla for locking up Cayden James without trial, when he pretty much did the same thing with Slade and Harkness and criticizing Oliver for having blind spots regarding family, when Diggle himself had a blind spot regarding his former commanding officer, Ted Gaynor, who later became a criminal and Diggle defended him, despite the fact that all the facts were practically in front of him. Another blind spot is his brother Andy. It was obvious he was helping H.I.V.E. and was inserted as a mole in Team Arrow, yet Diggle defended him, even if everyone else was suspicious of Andy and were forced to give Andy on Diggle's insistence a benefit of the doubt, and that is what ultimately got Laurel killed. Elaborated opinion is later below. At this point, I'm done with Diggle. Most of my stories are gonna keep Diggle more to making him likeable like he was in Seasons 1-2 but after how his character development has been flip-flopping throughout Seasons 3-7, I'm more than tempted to write stories where Diggle gets called out on his crap or killed off. I put him in the same category as Tony Stark in MCU in Avengers: Infinity War. Tolerable but still sour about the crap he had done in the past. Curtis Holt In Season 6, it got a lot worse though. Curtis turned his back on Oliver and left Team Arrow after Felicity had put him, Dinah and Rene under surveillance, when it was revealed that Rene was testifying against Oliver. This was understandable but the last straw was him siding with Dinah Drake to take out Black Siren, which almost resulted in Quentin, Thea and Felicity getting hurt or worse in process and he also hacked Diggle's chip implant in his hand, in order to take him out of the fight, when fighting against him and Oliver. And the fact, that he condemned Oliver for beating up Rene, causing for his injuries from the beginning of Season 6 to open, despite Oliver holding back and Curtis crossing the line first by hacking Diggle's chip implant, makes him a hypocrite. Good that he left in Season 7. Dinah Drake I don't hate the character, I hate what the showrunners did with her and I was willing to give her a benefit of the doubt until Season 6 and I gave her another chance in Season 7 but the second half of Season 7 has really soured my opinion on her, considering how she treated Earth-2 Laurel, when she was working her ass off trying to make amends, despite that eventually, Dinah apologized to Laurel and made amends with her but still, her fooling herself that Vince was an innocent, is annoying. Ricardo Diaz Iris West In Season 3, she called off the engagement with Barry and broke up with him after Savitar had beaten Barry almost to death, which, while understandable, since Barry had purposed to her mainly to save her life, was cruel, tactless and inconsiderate from her towards Barry. And making her leader of Team Flash in Season 4 is freaking stupid. Right now, I honestly hate her far more than Felicity at the moment. Elaborated opinion is later below. Nora West-Allen Plus, she lied about her being associated with Thawne and time travelled back and forth to talk with Thawne behind Team Flash’s back repeatedly, despite knowing what he had done, when it was more than likely that Thawne had been manipulating her and Team Flash the whole time again. And frankly, throughout the whole Season 5, she had almost no character development at all, since when she seemed that she had learned from her mistakes, her behavior did not change at all and the show stupidly tried to justify her actions and the constant drama around her made Season 5 boring and annoying. And Iris, while I understand why she wanted to take Nora's side after Team Flash found out that she had been working with Thawne, her claiming that Thawne was right, really lowered my opinion on Iris even more and it seriously pissed me off. While I get she wanted him to train her when she was learning about speedster powers, how could she still work with Thawne despite knowing that he killed Barry’s mother is beyond me and I don’t blame Barry for sending her back to the future where she belongs. I gave her a benefit of the doubt at first but I soured on her since 5x18. I can understand her working with Thawne at first but her continuing to work with him, despite learning what Thawne had done to her family, I don’t think it is forgivable. Although, I think she redeemed herself after defeating Cicada and therefore erasing herself from existence but I'm not gonna lose any sleep over her death. Kendra Saunders Rip Hunter Alex Danvers James Olsen It might often happen that I will insert Batman and Justice League characters into my Arrowverse stories or my own original characters. So, to add faces to the characters Batman characters: Justice League or other DC Comics characters, heroes and villains alike or supporting characters: As for my OCs or other DC Comics characters inserted into the stories: This is written in regards to my Arrowverse stories which are part of THE DAR(H)K WAR saga and writing a sequel covering "Crisis on Earth-X". Re-watching the crossover, it seemed like pure fan service and frankly, I don't like Barry/Iris pairing in Arrowverse at all. Even if I would get aside Barry/Iris and Oliver/Felicity subplot, numerous things bugged me in the crossover that I didn't like at all and annoyed me a lot. The crossover had potential but they spent more time focusing on the relationship drama instead of the crossover reaching its potential. You would have to be a complete idiot or a lover of pointless soap opera/drama crap to like the actual crossover, frankly, I hated the crossover overall and there was almost nothing I liked about it. WARNING: The following issues I have with the crossover that I have listed below, also contains huge spoilers for the crossover, so read at your own discretion. Oliver of Earth-X and Kara of Earth-X are married. Sara Lance and Alex Danvers hooking up and sleeping together. Leo Snart of Earth-X, a.k.a. Citizen Cold is gay. Prometheus of Earth-X is Tommy Merlyn. Felicity Smoak and Iris West saving Team Arrow and Team Flash. At the end, Felicity and Oliver get married, despite Felicity shouting out loud at the rehearsal dinner to Oliver in front of dozens of people that she doesn't want to marry him in the first part AND while Iris and Barry are getting wed at the end of the crossover, Felicity rudely and unsurprisingly interrupts them. Martin Stein dying. Eobard Thawne of Earth-1, the Reverse-Flash being alive again, even though he should have been erased from existence. There are so many things I disliked with the crossover that I tried to fix but it has been pointed out to me that I did put there a pointless Henry / Sara drama subplot just like in the crossover was unnecessary Sara / Alex subplot. So, I guess this is my bad and lesson learned, do not insert drama subplots around the main characters. Sorry, if some of you disliked my story due to this and all I can say is “My bad, I’m sorry and I will try not to make my stories pointlessly melodramatic and turn them into soap operas next time but I can only hope you have liked the story and will follow and read my other stories as well." Preferred Pairings (canon pairings and pairings I would like to see) in Arrowverse Arrow Oliver Queen / Sara Lance And fans of Laurel are probably going to hate me for it and what I'm writing here is NOTHING AGAINST Laurel's character but I'm just stating the facts here. I love both Sara and Laurel as characters and as their Canary alter-egos. Sara had an embarrassing crush on Oliver before the Gambit and Laurel knew it. Out of jealousy, she called the cops on Sara at Tommy's party and Sara was grounded for month and next thing she knew, Laurel was dating with Oliver. So, Sara going on Queen's Gambit is not completely on Oliver convincing her but because Laurel screwed Sara over, so Sara decided to get back at her. If it hadn't been for Laurel's jealousy, I could see them make it work. I love Oliver being with either of the Lance sisters. Oliver / Laurel used to be my preference and OTP of Arrow but the recent obsession of some fanatics with this pairing and my realization regarding the pairing made me reconsider a lot of things regarding it. I love Oliver / Sara too, that is, when it is possible that they and Laurel are able to resolve their issues in the past regarding what happened before Season 1 and when Sara came back in Season 2. Oliver Queen / Earth-1 Laurel Lance (Mixed opinion) I wish Laurel had not died and that Oliver ended up with either Laurel or Sara instead of Felicity, who has until Season 6 had little to no respect towards Oliver or any of his former or current girlfriends and Felicity treated Sara and Laurel like crap due to being jealous. However, the recent mania from fanatics that are obsessed with this pairing and crucify anyone, who pairs Oliver with anyone but Earth-1 Laurel makes it harder for me to write this pairing, despite that I enjoy reading and writing it. Plus, I do not like how the pairing has been handled from the beginning. I love the pairing as a concept but I dislike the circumstances preceding it. Laurel knew that Sara had a crush on Oliver and she became jealous of Sara and called the cops on her sister at Tommy's party, resulting in Sara being grounded by Quentin and later Oliver and Laurel dating, which was the cause of Sara going with Oliver on Gambit and cheating on Laurel and also, before Sara, Oliver cheated on Laurel again with Samantha by getting drunk at a party and later sleeping with Samantha, resulting in Samantha giving birth to William, which ruined this pairing from the start and it apparently was the result of the showrunners' disrespect towards the pairing and just the fact that Laurel, out of jealousy, had Quentin ground Sara, makes it hard for me to root for this pairing. In Season 3, Laurel, from an emotional side, turned her back on him and had a stick up her ass, developing a sense of self-righteousness and arrogance, disrespecting Oliver, which continued to the beginning of Season 4, where she justified Oliver saving Thea with Lazarus pit to resurrect Sara, without fully understanding the consequences. Though later, they again became friends, the showrunners killed Laurel off and her last words on deathbed were that Oliver would always be the love of her life and she supported Oliver / Felicity, which was a low blow and spit in the face of comic book fans and reasonable fans of Arrow. Plus, it is astonishing that Laurel keeps staying around Oliver, despite the fact that he had cheated on her at least twice, with Samantha and later with Sara and what is even more strange is Laurel showing no conflicting feelings towards Oliver in the beginning of the show in the first episodes and having little to no self-respect, which makes it hard to root for the pairing in the early seasons. I still love the pairing though and I enjoy writing and reading stories with Oliver / Earth-1 Laurel but I get why some other people are mixed about it and honestly, the harrassment from people who are Laurel fanatics makes it hard for some writers to write for this pairing in particular and I don't blame them. Honestly, just the fact that Laurel called Quentin on Sara at Tommy's party, which resulted in Sara being grounded for month and Laurel and Oliver later dating, when Laurel had known about Sara having a crush on Oliver and wanted to get Sara out of the way to get to Oliver, soured my opinion on the pairing Oliver / Earth-1 Laurel, alongside the fact that Laurel had set herself up in a fantasy world with Oliver, oblivious of how much she was hurting Sara or that Oliver was not ready to move in with her, makes it hard for me to root for the pairing despite that I enjoy writing and reading it. I want to keep writing stories with this pairing but the recent obsession and harrassment regarding this pairing and my epiphany regarding the circumstances of this pairing, has made me feel uneasy writing it and I'm most likely not going to write stories with this pairing as often as I used to. I'll keep the pairing Oliver / Earth-1 Laurel in my The Dar(h)k War saga but outside of it, I most likely am not going to write it as often as I used to, despite that I enjoy writing it, due to the facts I have mentioned above, which are Laurel getting Sara grounded so that Laurel could date Oliver and the Laurel fanatics, which actually are not Laurel fanatics but Katie Cassidy fanatics, since she is a good actress and I do not disagree. I think she does well in emotional scenes but as for action in Arrow, she honestly leaves a lot desired. Oliver Queen / Earth-2 Laurel Lance (Black Siren) (Mixed opinion) Plus, in Season 5, they ruined her by making her a villain and Felicity knocking her out, which BTW was total bullshit. In Season 6, she was ruined even further by becoming a one-dimensional villain and joining a cabal of villains to make Oliver's life living hell. However, later she showed remorse and regret over her past actions and despite her trying to show that she has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, she has her own moral values and sense of honor, as seen for example, when she showed reluctance and later remorse over killing Vincent Sobel (Vigilante), when Cayden James ordered her to and her gratitude towards Oliver and Diggle defending her, when Dinah was going to kill her to avenge Vince. Or another example is when Diaz burned alive his childhood bully over a grudge that had been going on for years, she expressed disgust at Diaz’s actions. Later she was clearly ashamed and remorseful over her past actions and was set on a path of redemption in Season 7 after how her actions had hurt Oliver and Quentin. I think that Oliver and Black Siren could be a good match after that but Oliver is currently with Felicity, who is now far more tolerable than before. However, there is the same issue with the pairing Oliver / Earth-2 Laurel as with Earth-1 Laurel, regarding the Laurel fanatics, so I don't see myself write stories with this pairing a lot nowadays. Oliver Queen / Helena Bertinelli I wish that Helena had returned to the show more often but in Arrow 7x12, they implied that Helena was dead and that is because they want to use the Huntress in DCEU's Birds of Prey film. Oliver Queen / Nyssa al Ghul This pairing may be fan-serviced but it's actually one of those I actually am OK with. There seems to be some unexplored chemistry and a lot of good dynamic between her and Oliver, since both of them are fellow warriors, who are willing to go to extreme to protect their loved ones. They have a lot of respect towards each other and there certainly seems to be an attraction between them, so criticizing me for pairing them both would be very hypocritical of you. I think this pairing has a potential. Oliver Queen / Kara Zor-El (Kara Danvers) These two have different personalities and perspectives on life but both of them are in their own ways, pariahs in their society, they both have suffered their share of losses, they both suffer from survivor's guilt and they both carry a great burden, while carrying on their mission as heroes, plus, they have good chemistry in the show with a lot of potential and can relate to a significant extent. If it was written in a way without Kara being egoist and self-righteous, to the point of preferring her own ideals over what is necessary, like in Season 3 of Supergirl, I can see it work. However, I honestly don’t see myself writing it, since it seems like fan service to me and I don’t see it working out in the long-term, due to Kara’s self-righteousness and Oliver’s extreme methods. I'd need to figure out how it could work, if I ever decide to write a story with pairing Oliver / Kara. Like I said, I don't support this pairing but I can see why people would but in my opinion, if I ever decide to write stories with this pairing, there would be a lot of things to think about to make the pairing work out. I might consider writing stories with this pairing, if I could see how it could work. Sara Lance / Nyssa al Ghul As for Sara's relationship with Nyssa, I can understand their attraction to each other, even though they fell into each other due to the development of Florence Nightingale syndrome, when Nyssa fell in love Sara, while nursing her to health after she saved her after the sinking of Amazo. In my opinion, in the entire Arrowverse, the only two viable romance options for Sara so far have been Oliver and Nyssa. My only issue with the relationship are the circumstances of the relationship, thus, them being members of the League and bringing Sara on path to darkness. Otherwise, I think it's a good pairing. But, the question is, if they got together under different circumstances than the League of Assassins, would they last long? I am not sure how stable would this relationship be, putting aside the League of Assassins completely. I might write stories with this pairing but my feelings about this pairing are a bit mixed. Sara Lance / Ray Palmer It’s a pairing I might consider writing, despite being fan service ship. Roy Harper / Thea Queen Felicity Smoak / Ray Palmer The Flash and Supergirl Barry Allen / Patty Spivot Pity they wrote her off because Shantel VanSanten was cast into Shooter TV series during that time. I liked Shooter the first season before it turned a little too much into a family drama but since the show was cancelled, I hope Shantel VanSanten returns to the show as Patty someday. Barry Allen / Kara Zor-El (Kara Danvers) If circumstances allowed it, these two would be the ultimate power couple, if you remove the self-righteousness aspect. Barry Allen / Caitlin Snow If it hadn't been for Barry's unhealthy obsession with Iris, I can see them make it work somehow, since I think that Grant Gustin and Danielle Panabaker have much better chemistry together on-screen, rather than he has with Candice Patton, although I have nothing against the latter, I just think that Grant and Candice have no chemistry on-screen at all. Honestly, Danielle would've fit more as Iris, rather than Candice but that would need for the basis of WestAllen in the show to change, since it's incest, considering the father/son bond between Joe and Barry and that Barry and Iris had grown up together, with Joe being a father figure to both of them. Barry Allen / Felicity Smoak But, the showrunners decided to pair Barry with Iris, who is quite annoying in my opinion, even more than Felicity and while Felicity changed for the better in Seasons 6-7, she is now married to Oliver. I used to hate Olicity pairing but since Season 6, the pairing was more tolerable. Cisco Ramon / Lisa Snart Cisco Ramon / Kendra Saunders Legends of Tomorrow Mick Rory / Amaya Jiwe Ray Palmer / Zari Tomaz Supergirl Querl Dox (Brainy) / Nia Nal Disliked Pairings in Arrowverse There are pairings in Arrowverse that have really annoyed me, due to females becoming arrogant, annoying, emotional and unlikable. And don’t get me started on slash homosexual or incest pairings that I have seen on FF.net and AO3 in sections Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. I respect writer’s decisions to write them but these are in my opinion total bullshit and disgust me, such as Laurel / Sara, Laurel / Thea, Laurel / Nyssa, Sara / Felicity, Laurel / Felicity, Sara / Thea, Oliver / Tommy, Oliver / Thea, Oliver / Slade, Iris / Linda, Barry / Snart, Barry / Hartley, Iris / Caitlin, Snart / Mick, Kara / Alex, Kara / Lena etc. and I have no desire at all of writing them or reading them. Don’t expect me to write or read these kinds of stories in Arrowverse section since I find non-canon homosexual and non-canon incest pairings, such as those I have mentioned, a disgusting and insulting load of crap. I know this is fanfiction and the pairings are unrealistic but honestly, do the people that write these slash and incest pairings stop to think about how disgusting it might look? Why would they even consider such pairings? To me, all Arrowverse non-canon slash and incest pairings are really disgusting, insulting and disrespectful towards the characters and fans of Arrowverse and no way in hell I am ever going to write them or read them and I think anyone who writes or reads non-canon slash (gay or lesbian) or incest pairings in Arrowverse has serious mental issues and has no respect towards the comic books. Remember: I am never going to read or write any story with non-canon slash or incest pairings in Arrowverse section of fanfiction websites, since I find these stories offending, disgusting and disrespectful towards the characters and I think that anyone who writes stories with such pairings or asks me to write such pairings, is a sick, disgusting person that has no respect towards the characters and is out of their mind and needs professional help. I hate non-canon slash and non-canon incest pairings in Arrowverse part or any comic book section of fanfiction. If I "disapprove" of the pairing, the verb says it all. Arrow Oliver Queen / Felicity Smoak (Mixed opinion) And she is also a big hypocrite, when she gets highly upset about Oliver keeping secrets from her and lying to her but she has no problem lying to him. The example could be made about Oliver being forced to keep William a secret from her, or Felicity keeping secret from Oliver that Ray had been building ATOM suit to fight crime and she didn’t come clean about it until Ray was intending to arrest him and expose him as the Arrow or Felicity helping Team Arrow while Oliver was away with her behind his back. While in Seasons 6-7 Felicity changed for the better more or less and she wasn't as abusive towards Oliver as before, there are still some moments when I need to face palm at her behavior. Despite that, Olicity relationship did more or less improve since Season 3-5 and she wasn’t that much annoying anymore and she treated Oliver more fairly and equally and the drama and arguments were kept more to minimum. But that doesn't mean I will write stories with this pairing, since I still don't support this pairing at all but I think I'll give it a pass in the show, if it is mostly drama-free and Felicity treats Oliver more fairly and equally. However, the twist in 7x13 with Mia (Blackstar) being Olicity's daughter really lowered the bar on my opinion on Oliver / Felicity. The pairing has a pass from me in the show since Season 6 but I will not write stories with this pairing, unless it will be a breakup, calling Felicity out or something like that or showing why it would not work or a comedic situation with Oliver / Felicity. If they were going to do Oliver / Felicity, it should’ve been short-time deal, like with Oliver / Helena or Oliver / McKenna for example. Oliver Queen / Talia al Ghul (Mixed opinion) I liked their good dynamic in the flashbacks in Season 5 and in 7x05. BUT (and this is mostly on showrunners) Talia seemed to turn a part of Oliver into a monster as she taught him skinning technique and Oliver later used that to skin a man alive for interrogation and practice. I think the reason this was shown in the series was to convince us that Oliver is a monster that enjoys killing, which I don’t buy at all, not even for a second. Plus, when Oliver killed her father, Talia seemed to have turned into a hypocrite and psychopath and she had lost her sense of honor and common sense, since Oliver was meant to be the next Ra’s and Ra’s wanted to wipe out an entire city with a bio-weapon and it was either Oliver or her father. Talia became a hypocrite because she trained Simon Morrison (Adrian Chase a.k.a. Prometheus), who wanted revenge on Oliver because he had killed Chase’s father, Justin Claybourne, who infected hundreds of people with tuberculosis and Claybourne’s name was on the list, the same list that Oliver targeted on persuasion from Talia. If Talia had not been the psychopath she is in the show and in the comic books, due to her unhealthy loyalty to Ra’s al Ghul, I can see her and Oliver getting together somehow, if only for a short time. I am honestly intrigued about this concept but considering how she is portrayed in the show and in the comic books and her apparent instability and psychopathy, I don't support it. Just like in comic books, on one hand, she hates her father for who he is, since Ra's is a traditionalist stuck in his ways, who would never give the mantle of the Demon to a woman and both Talia and Nyssa had been trained for this role since childhood, but on the other hand, she loves Ra's as her father. Ra's had lived since the age, when women were mainly good for living as maids or carrying babies, so it's very unlikely he would have given the Demon's Head's mantle to a woman. If Talia had not been so devoted to her father and had not been the psycho she is in the show and in comic books, I can see her and Oliver getting together somehow, at least for a while but it is very likely that it would end up like with Bruce / Talia pairing, two parties hating each other for disapproval of each others’ methods and perceptions of the world. Even if Oliver and her got together somehow, I'm sure it would not last for long, mainly due to their differences of each others’ opinions. So, while I understand why some fanfiction writers may want to pair them, I do not support this pairing. Though it makes me wonder, how would Oliver / Talia pairing work out if she had not been as unstable as in comic books and in the show? Though I honestly doubt I would ever write a story with such pairing, mainly due to my opinion on Bruce / Talia in Batman. Oliver / Talia pairing would probably be just as toxic but I am intrigued about how it could have been handled, if written properly. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Dinah Drake / Vincent Sobel (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it will be to call Dinah out on her relationship with Vigilante. Tommy Merlyn / Laurel Lance (Earth-1) (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Oliver Queen / Dinah Drake (Mixed opinion) Concept could be interesting if the circumstances were different. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. The Flash If I "disapprove" of the pairing, the verb says it all. The only relationship in the show that I've had a mixed opinion on and would like to see a better handled version, was Caitlin / Julian, since I think it could have been handled better, the other pairings that I disapprove of that shall be mentioned below, I am not going write or read, ever unless it's gonna be a breakup, calling the partner out on something or to show why the relationship, in my opinion, would not work. Wally West / Jesse Quick (Disapprove) She is as smart as Harry, which is OK but her being a speedster gave her a huge ego boost and Wally deserves better than that. I will not write stories with this pairing, unless I need to call Jesse out on her ego. Caitlin Snow / Hunter Zolomon (Disapprove) And it really seems like the showrunners would want to pair Caitlin with random characters that are not enough interesting. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Caitlin Snow / Harry Wells (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Caitlin Snow / Julian Albert (Mixed opinion) Personally, I did not mind the pairing too much but honestly, some people think it may have been forced and rushed and looking back, I don’t disagree, plus, there’s the fact that Julian is responsible for Caitlin turning into Killer Frost and in hindsight, their chemistry wasn't very strong. Honestly, I did think about writing a story with a more refined version of this pairing but my opinion about this pairing is too mixed to try to make Caitlin / Julian work out. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Cisco Ramon / Caitlin Snow (Disapprove) Honestly, why would fanfiction writers want to make these two lovers? This pairing will not be around in my stories. Cisco Ramon / Gypsy (Disapprove) They don't have really good chemistry and it felt forced and rushed, in my opinion, even though they looked cute and hilarious at some times. And their breakup in 4x20, while well done, was to add more senseless soap opera drama bullshit into the show and it turned Cisco into a whiner in the beginning of Season 5 to add more pointless soap opera drama crap. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Barry Allen / Iris West (Disapprove) In summary, considering they grew up together under the same roof and Joe is a father figure to both of them and on more than one occassion they have treated each other more like siblings rather than lovers, it is almost incest and it's disgusting. Iris does not understand Barry at all and treats him badly, they are more like brother/sister rather than romantic couple and Iris is a bad influence on him and there is no chemistry between these two. Plus, considering that Joe is a father figure to both of them, since both of them grew up under the same roof, it is so freaking weird, and their romance can be considered "incest", considering Joe is a father figure to both of them and I wonder why Joe of all people would support WestAllen, since Barry and Iris are more like brother and sister, rather than a romantic couple and Barry is obsessed with Iris to the point of stalking. The relationship with Iris causes for Barry to neglect everything else important to him in his life and Iris sometimes treats people around her like crap and she even treated Cisco and Caitlin like her lapdogs. In Season 3 of The Flash, Barry is so focused on Iris that almost everything becomes a distant second and it strains his friendship with Cisco and Caitlin, which is the heart of The Flash. She also often treats Barry and everyone else like crap and her lackeys and gets away with it and she often is made as the one in the right, when she is anything but. While she has right to be upset, her actions are not vindicated or fair towards the people she lashes out on, at all. Also, whenever Oliver is in one room with Barry and Iris, Iris says how hot Oliver is, in front of Barry, when it obviously makes Barry feel very uncomfortable and there are more occassions, where she has treated Barry badly. For example, Iris sabotaged Barry's relationship with Linda, while Iris was with Eddie. Accidentally or not, it wasn't cool. After Iris found out Barry's secret about being the Flash, she treated him so badly and then blamed him for Eddie being kidnapped by the Reverse-Flash and Joe by Grodd. Iris called off the engagement with Barry in Season 3, when she found out Barry had purposed to her, just to save her life. While I understood why she called it off, she did it right after Barry had been beaten up almost to the point of death by Savitar and Wally had been trapped in the Speed Force, which was a cruel low blow, tactless and inconsiderate towards Barry’s feelings. Another example is her forcing Barry to go for couples counseling, when she knows Barry hates shrinks, which is so freaking stupid in Season 4. Sometimes I think the way Iris treats Barry is even worse than how Felicity treats Oliver and neither of the mentioned male characters have enough self-respect to stand up for themselves and call Felicity or Iris out on their crap. And frankly, just the fact that Barry is so obsessed with Iris to the point of stalking or that they were both raised by Joe, should make it obvious that this pairing cannot work. I will never write Barry / Iris unless it is going to be a breakup, divorce, calling Iris out on something or showing why the pairing would not work. The problems with WestAllen I don't mind the relationship of Barry and Iris in the comic books but the way they execute it in Arrowverse and in The Flash overall is just perverse and I shall explain why. Overall, if the showrunners Berlanti, Kreisberg and Johns were gonna do pairing Barry / Iris like in comic books, they shouldn't have done it in a way that Barry and Iris had grown up together under the same roof and making Barry obsessed with Iris to the point of sabotaging any other relationships he's had with other girls and alienating himself from his best friends, Cisco and Caitlin. Sometimes I think that WestAllen in The Flash is much worse than Olicity in Arrow. It reeks of incest: It makes Barry look like a stalker: Iris does not understand Barry: It's clear from her actions from when Barry lost his memories and her anger at him over going into the Speed Force that she does not truly understand the burden Barry bears as the city's protector. She can walk away anytime she wants, Barry can't, not because of his powers, but its because of who he is as Barry Allen. Since she does not understand that, she does not understand who Barry really is. Iris treats Barry badly: Also, one of the things I hate about Iris is that she admires how hot and handsome and sexy Oliver is, in front of Barry, when it obviously makes the latter uncomfortable. When Iris finds out Barry only asked her to marry him to save her life, she calls off the engagement. This is understandable but she chooses to do this after Wally istrapped in the Speed Force and Savitar had beaten the crap out of Barry, which was undeserved, cruel and inconsiderate towards Barry from her. Barry is already in immense physical and emotional pain when this happens, he didn't need this on top of everything else, especially considering she tells him by showing off her ringless finger. After Barry comes back from the Speed Force, she brings him to counseling, when she knows Barry hates shrinks, and blames him for leaving her when she knows he had no choice and Barry can't defend himself, because he would expose his secret. Plus, her taking Nora's side and saying that Thawne was right and that she was OK with it, after it was revealed that Nora had been working with Thawne, despite knowing what Thawne had done to all of them, it made it obvious that she cares about no one but herself and that she treats Barry like crap. If anyone did not see Iris' selfishness in 5x19, they're total morons with blinders towards Iris and can go to hell. Iris is not good for Barry: Barry cares about people, Iris doesn't: Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl I pretty much dislike all canon pairings that have appeared in Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl so far and I pretty much hate every romantic option for Kara that has appeared in the show so far. I don't dislike the romantic partners as characters but so far I have disliked every relationship Kara has had with them as a romantic partner in the show due to how the relationships were handled in the show. I will never write any pairings that have been canon in the show so far, save for maybe Brainy / Nia or Kara / Mon-El, if I can see how I can make the latter work out better. Sara Lance / Leonard Snart (Disapprove) So, no, I honestly don't see how this would happen, given how it went down in the show. If it had been handled more realistically and not forced and rushed, I'd be OK with it. Fan service ship and I don't support it, although maybe I would've if it had been done properly. I don't like the whole CaptainCanary thing or how it was handled in the show but if either of them had shown feelings for the other, I could see them make it work but they had little to no chemistry whatsoever in the show. If it had been handled properly, I would not have any problem with that. Them together was pure rushed fan service and neither of the characters had expressed their feelings until Snart sacrificed himself in 1x15, where he and Sara kissed each other. If it had been handled more realistically and not forced and rushed, I'd be OK with it. There was no chemistry between them however, weak at best and neither of them showed any romantic feelings towards each other and it never went beyond more than friendly banter. I will never write stories with Sara / Snart pairing, since it’s too fan-serviced in my opinion and Crisis on Earth-X and Olicity have taught me a lesson: "Never write pairings purely fan-serviced, if you can’t properly develop them.". I don’t see how could Sara / Snart be properly developed. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Sara Lance / Ava Sharpe (Disapprove) I think the way it happened was too fast and I just don't like how it happened. Yes, there is some chemistry but it shouldn't have been rushed but I didn't have too big problems with it until later. I didn’t like this pairing but didn’t complain about it too much but I got a serious issue with this pairing, when it turned out that Ava was actually a clone, so I think it's just weird from that point onward. It was rushed but cute at first, now it’s just weird that Sara is in relationship with a clone, although I'm glad that they broke up in Season 4. I find it stupid that Sara continues the relationship with Ava when the latter is a clone. It was rushed but cute at first, now it’s just weird, although their chemistry is good but they keep shoving this pairing down our throats and I'm honestly tired of it. It wasn’t bad until the reveal that Ava was a clone. I will not write stories with such pairing though, ever because I am sick and tired of Legends of Tomorrow constantly reminding us that Sara is attracted to females more than males. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work and I'm tired of this pairing being shoved down our throats. Sara Lance / Alex Danvers (Disapprove) I don't see this working out, since first of all they are two universes apart from each other and Sara often time travels, so the concept itself seems stupid to me and second of all, it's nothing more than stupid fan service ship and I hate most fan service ships, save for some rare exceptions. So, don't ever expect me to write stories with this pairing, since it's nothing but stupid fan service. I get why some people might want to ship them but the concept is stupid for me to actually care about it. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Carter Hall / Kendra Saunders (Disapprove) And since I'm talking about Kendra, she seemed to be a promising character, when she was initially introduced in The Flash but, she kept on whining, "Such a long time ago, I was a barista, not some reincarnated Egyptian warrior demi-goddess." * rolls eyes * Want to put a gag on her for that or cut her tongue out. And Carter, he wasn't a very interesting character either. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Ray Palmer / Kendra Saunders (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Nate Heywood / Amaya Jiwe (Disapprove) This may be a literal "screwing with history", plus it was pointelss because it was obvious at some point, Amaya would've had to return to her time, so she couldn't stick around with the Legends for long. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Nate Heywood / Zari Tomaz (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Ray Palmer / Nora Darhk (Disapprove) In Legends of Tomorrow Season 3, Ray found himself attracted to Nora somehow and there were moments, when Nora returned the affection too and he tried to set Nora straight and give her a better life. At first, she turned him down at every turn but when Damien Darhk sacrificed his life to save her, Nora showed some remorse and Ray helped her escape, when she was arrested and she showed him some appreciation by getting her life straight and later, turning herself in, as a penance for her crimes. I get why the showrunners would want to go for it and I can understand the whole redemption thing but to me, it's more of the senseless romance stuff. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Kara Danvers / James Olsen (Disapprove) I know that the TV adaptations of comic books like to take their own spin on the characters but I don't like Supergirl version of Jimmy. I don't see how Kara could be with him romantically, even though they have good dynamic as a team but no chemistry overall. But, James is able to admit he was wrong and has a sense of morality. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Kara Danvers / Winn Schott (Disapprove) They’re more like brother and sister and there's no chemistry between them as a couple. I think the reason Winn said that he was in love with Kara, was because showrunners wanted more pointless soap opera drama in the show. This pairing will not be around in my stories. Kara Danvers / Mon-El (Mixed opinion) I don’t dislike this pairing as a concept but I dislike how it was handled in the show, I think it could have gone better, since it had potential. I don't see myself writing stories with this pairing, since there's too much baggage between them to work things out, in my opinion. I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. Kara Danvers / Lena Luthor (Disapprove) But, I find this concept stupid and as I have mentioned before, writing homosexual pairings in fanfiction stories, when in canon in fandom, the paired characters are not actually in romantic relationship with each other, nor is it likely that they will be, is in my opinion stupid and insulting. This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Alex Danvers / Maggie Sawyer (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. James Olsen / Lena Luthor (Disapprove) This pairing will not be around in my stories, unless it's going to be to show why it cannot work. Alex Danvers / Kelly Olsen (Mixed opinion) I might consider writing stories with this pairing but it is very unlikely. What I didn't like about Arrow Season 3 What I didn't like about Arrow Season 4 What I didn't like about Arrow Season 5 What I didn't like about Arrow Season 6 What I didn't like about Arrow Season 7 What I don't like about The Flash What I don't like about Legends of Tomorrow What I don't like about Supergirl Why the Arrowverse has been an epic fail: Have you ever felt a deep emotional pain that wouldn't go away? Like you were watching someone you cared about be tortured until they were left begging for death? Well, that's what watching the Arrowverse has been like the last few years. What happened to it? It had so much potential, how could it go so wrong? Well, here I attempt to explain the mistakes that have led to a franchise that quiet simply cannot be saved. Bad casting: On the other hand, Emily Bett Rickards is just not a good actress, especially when it comes to emotional scenes. Every time she's on screen, it just feels like Felicity is acting, not like Felicity is a character. And she cannot do emotional scenes at all, so every scene that has to have Felicity become emotional is therefore ruined. When you compare her acting to the acting of Katie Cassidy and Willa Holland, there is simply no comparison. That's how good acting should look like. Bad treatment of male and female characters: On Arrow, Laurel, Felicity, Diggle and Oliver are good examples of the showrunners treating the characters badly. Dinah Laurel Lance In mid-Season 3-beginning of Season 4, Laurel became arrogant and self-righteous due to her taking the role of Black Canary and Sara's mantle mainly due to grief. She used Oliver saving Thea with Lazarus pit as an excuse to justify her bringing back Sara from the dead without knowing the consequences. Plus, (and I'm sorry about this, I love Laurel but I'm stating the facts here) a few weeks of boxing lessons with Ted Grant and a few weeks of training with Nyssa doesn't make her good enough to beat members of League of Assassins or H.I.V.E. and the Ghosts and she's gotten so high of a level of an ego and arrogance and self-righteousness, that she believed that just because she calls herself the Black Canary, she's automatically as good as Sara. * Laughs * , no, she's not. I'm sorry for saying this, I love Laurel but she's a plain example of how were the characters in Arrow mistreated. Felicity Megan Smoak But in Season 3, in moments where he would previously call someone out, he would just take criticism from Felicity that was entirely unjustified. When Diggle was being a hypocrite, he would not say anything. It got a lot worse in Season 4 though. The entire team would disrespect him multiple times Felicity would undermine his authority as leader and be emotionally abusive to him. He was shown to be smart in Seasons 1-2, but Seasons 3-4 attempt to convince you that he is stupid. He just sits there and takes it when Felicity is just a bitch to him, showing that Oliver has no self-respect. Also, Felicity was a big hypocrite regarding keeping secrets from others. She was being a bitch to Oliver, when he was forced to keep a secret from her about having a son, when it was the only way Oliver could have a relationship with him, while she kept a secret from him that she was helping Team Arrow behind his back for five months between Seasons 3-4 and also about creating a super-virus that almost destroyed the entire city. John Diggle Considering that Diggle knew exactly what the League of Assassins was capable of, he shouldn't have to take it out on Oliver. Though I could understand that Diggle was enraged and felt that Oliver crossed a line, when he kidnapped Lyla and left their daughter alone in their home, he wasn't able to get over it for 5-6 months and still treated Oliver like crap even the first three episodes of Season 4 until he came around, he kept a secret the connection between H.I.V.E. and Andy, when Oliver brought up that Damien Darhk leads the mentioned organization. Keeping this secret could have easily compromised the entire team. Also, Diggle can be a hypocrite, when he criticized Oliver about having a blind spot regarding his mother in Season 1, when the same issue was with Diggle and Andy in Season 4, which ultimately was what got Laurel killed. Another issue came up in Season 5, when he criticized his wife Lyla for keeping in lockup in black site Cayden James, a leader of hacktivist terrorist group with no due trial. Seriously?! An army veteran, whose wife is a director of a black ops government agency has a problem with that? There's no logic to this, especially, when Diggle helped Oliver lock up Digger Harkness and Slade Wilson in A.R.G.U.S. prison on Lian Yu. Then, in Season 6, another issue came with Oliver and Diggle in 6x17, when Diggle was upset that Oliver took away the Green Arrow mantle from him and he criticized Oliver for stretching himself so thin and into so many directions (being a mayor, a father and the Green Arrow, a husband etc.) that the people around him suffer and that Oliver's way of leadership causes him to alienate everyone close to him, when Oliver did the best he could in a bad situation. And Diggle crossed one hell of a line, when he accused Oliver of leaving a trail of bodies everywhere he goes and that Oliver is to blame for Samantha's death because of a bad decision Oliver made. And in Season 7, Diggle became a hypocrite, when he offered Diaz a deal behind Lyla’s back and without her permission abd basically forced her to reinstate Task Force X, the Ghost Initiative, a revamped Suicide Squad. Malcolm Merlyn And, what completely pisses me off is that after everything that Malcolm had put Oliver through, Oliver lets him become the next Ra's al Ghul and leader of the League of Assassins. Malcolm put a bomb on Queen's Gambit, he had Oliver's father killed and he manipulated Thea into killing Sara. That's just stupid on so many levels, Oliver should have killed him, when the thing with the League was over. Also, Malcolm being the new leader of the LoA seemed promising but nothing interesting in regards to the League happened in Season 4, asides from the League Civil War with Nyssa and Malcolm letting Laurel and Thea resurrect Sara. The plot with Malcolm being the leader of LoA was so promising and the showrunners wasted it. And in 5x22-23, Malcolm returned to help Oliver save Thea, mainly because he still loves his own daughter. But his exit in 5x23 was stupid. After everything he has done, he goes out as a hero, sacrificing himself to save Thea? That seemed so stupid to me and he deserved worse. On one hand, I think that Malcolm's a complex character and in his own way he means well but on the other hand, he was responsible for death of hundreds of people, including his own son and forced Thea into the darkness by having her kill Sara. Malcolm should have died at the end of Season 3, Oliver giving him the ring of the Demon makes no sense at all and his redemption arc was a load of crap, since Malcolm is in my opinion an irredeemable psychopath. Roy William Harper Jr. However, what bugs me is that they wasted a lot of potential on the character, since his role as Arsenal lasted just one season as Colton Haynes had to leave the show due to health issues and end of his contract, which is pity and they never properly explained the character's backstory, all we know is that he grew up on the streets. Although I appreciate him returning in Season 7, a lot of potential seemed to be wasted on the character. Oliver Jonas Queen In Season 5 there was a "confession" that he likes killing. Well, if it's true, then that means that Oliver is a psychopath and it is completely out of his character. In 1x03, Oliver told Floyd Lawton (Deadshot) that he kills for a good of others and in 1x08, he told Helena Bertinelli (Huntress) that he kills only when it is absolutely necessary. None of this makes any sense. If Oliver liked killing, he would have killed everyone he has faced and his body count would have been to hundreds at this point. Oliver killed only when he had no other option left, so this confession is in my opinion total bullshit. Marginalizing Oliver's fighting skills as they see fit to the plot: The same thing about marginalizing the fighting skills could be said about Nyssa al Ghul, who effortlessly beat Malcolm in Season 3, yet she was unable to come to as close as a killing blow, when sparring with Malcolm in Season 4 and she needed Oliver’s help in defeating him and depose him of the title of Ra’s al Ghul. Malcolm himself saw Nyssa train when she was a child and she’s the daughter of Ra’s, yet she is unable to beat him in Season 4? This is so illogical and insulting towards Nyssa. Portraying Oliver Queen as the ultimate villain of Arrow: In Season 3, however, Felicity was totally disrespectful towards Oliver because of his allegiance with Malcolm. Oliver needed Malcolm’s help, since Malcolm knew the League of Assassins better than anyone else, yet Felicity kept protesting at every single turn. Diggle basically told Oliver to go screw himself because Oliver kidnapped Lyla and left their daughter alone in order to gain Ra’s trust and was still a jerk about it even at the beginning of Season 4. Between Season 3-4, Diggle had more than enough time to understand and forgive Oliver, since Oliver was undercover and Diggle knew exactly what was the League of Assassins capable of, so what Oliver did was in my opinion a necessary evil. Felicity broke up with Oliver in Season 4 because Oliver did not consult with her sending William away, when Felicity has no right at all to decide about William’s life. In Season 5, Adrian Chase (Prometheus) forced Oliver to “confess” that he enjoys killing and as I have mentioned before, this contradicts with everything that has happened in the show. In Season 6, per Oliver's orders, Felicity was spying on Curtis, Rene and Dinah, since one of them was about to testify against Oliver as the Green Arrow and they all left the team, feeling betrayed, blaming Oliver, when Oliver had valid reasons. Oliver had a choice between saving Vigilante (Vincent Sobel) and stopping Cayden James’ plan. Oliver chose the latter, since saving Vince would mean walking into a trap, resulting in Vince’s death at the hands of Black Siren and Dinah Drake blamed Oliver for it, when it was a choice between the entire city and one man, who also had a healing factor. What would anyone else have done at Oliver’s place? I get that she was mad at Oliver because he was in his way responsible for her lover's death but come on, Curtis and Rene siding with her on that? Then there’s the whole “making Black Siren return the money she stole”. Oliver might have had a chance to get through to her but Dinah, Curtis and Rene almost killed Black Siren and beat the living crap out of Quentin, a 40-year old man with a heart condition, and Oliver was forced to beat up Rene, causing for his injuries from 6x01 to reopen. Curtis and Dinah were mad at Oliver, when Oliver was holding back the whole time and he gave EVERY CHANCE for Rene to stand down. Then there’s argument between Oliver and Diggle and being the Green Arrow in 6x17. Like I mentioned earlier, Diggle accused Oliver of causing people around him to suffer and complaining that he took away from Diggle the mantle of the G.A. In Season 7, Oliver's past apparently comes back to haunt him again, with Sam Hackett, son of David Hackett, the captain that Robert had killed on the lifeboat, out on revenge and Emiko trying to destroy everything the Queen's stand for. At this point, the whole "past coming back to haunt" and "sins of the father" is cliche and repetitive and boring. Supergirl is also a good example of this, all their male characters get treated horribly. James was not very likable in Season 1, but in Season 2 he becomes a jerk whose storyline can be summed up as "I don't feel important, so I'm gonna become a superhero for...reasons." and is condescending towards Lena Luthor, who is trying to redeem her family name and both of them are Kara's best friends. In Season 1, Winn reveals he has feelings for Kara, which puts a strain on their friendship. The following episode, Kara rants to Alex about it, as though it is Winn's fault he has these feelings. Martian Manhunter and Superman are constantly made to look inferior to Kara. Mon-El was an interesting character the first few episodes until the writers turned him into a sexist douche when he had not shown any signs of that prior. Also, there's Alex Danvers, Kara's adoptive sister. I liked her at first but in Seasons 2-3, there was Alex discovering her sexuality and coming out as lesbian and then starting her relationship with Maggie, which consumed most of the Seasons 2-3. Plus, sometimes she's got a bossy attitude and quite a temper, as shown in Season 3. Using the shows to push a political agenda: But Arrow has done this to, as 5x13 was basically an episode done to simply push a pro-gun control agenda. In Season 2 of Legends of Tomorrow, we are constantly reminded of the fact that Sara is attracted to women, if not by her expressing an interest in one, then by one of the other characters saying something about it. It's like they think we're stupid and forgot but, more likely, the writers just want to talk about how great it is that she's bisexual because they did the same thing with Curtis being gay in Season 5 of Arrow. I am not a homophobic person but it annoys me that they keep reminding us of same-sex attractions. Turning the shows into a soap opera: Again in Legends of Tomorrow Season 1, the relationship between Ray and Kendra, as well as the triangle with Carter, started getting too much focus. Supergirl Season 2, the relationships between Kara and Mon-El and Alex and Maggie basically took over the show. If viewers wanted to watch a show about romance, they would watch a soap opera but they aren't, they're watching a show that is supposed to be about superheroes being heroes, not about the trials of their romantic lives. Favorite Games: Characters in Dragon Age: Origins and Pairings: Alistair Theirin Alistair is ashamed of his origins as bastard son and does not initially like the idea of being the King of Ferelden, this can however be changed, depending on the player's choices in the game as the player has a choice to develop a friendly relationship with Alistair and eventually persuade him that being the King is not such a bad idea at all and Alistar may become more open to the possibility and is more eager to learn the art of governing. Alistair has a sense of humor as well and likes to crack jokes often but when it comes down to it, he is serious and has mind of honorable warrior and strategist with a chevalier attitude towards women. As a romance option for Female Warden, I think he is a suitable choice. As for outcomes of the game, personally, I would prefer either if Alistair remained Warden or IF Alistair becomes the King of Ferelden, then that would be with Anora as Queen and the Female Warden, his romance companion as mistress. Frankly, I don't like the idea of TWO Grey Wardens governing at once and Anora is more experienced politician and could teach Alistair the art of governing. Leliana In the following years, Leliana and Marjolaine became a group of mercenaries and eventually, Leliana fell in love with Marjolaine. However, all of that changed, when Marjolaine helped her with a job that was leading to treason to Fereldan, as Leliana discovered the true nature of the job, Marjolaine mortally wounded her, betrayed her and left her to die. Leliana barely made it out and had some satisfaction and vindication in killing one of the people involved in the plot. However, she never sought out Marjolaine for revenge and instead ran into Chantry in Lothering, where she sought refuge in the following years and became a lay sister, having found faith. When Leliana was first introduced to the Warden in the game, she is portrayed to be mentally unstable, as she believed that she was meant to help the Warden in his/her quest due to Leliana's vision granted by the Maker. Leliana proved herself to believe in the Maker and tried to see good in people, such as assassin Zevran Aranai, who was assigned to kill the Warden (I shall discuss him further later). Depending on interactions with her, Leliana is portrayed to be emotional person as she is a bard and storyteller and she likes to say love stories and she approves of good deeds. She is firm in her faith in the Maker. When Marjolaine returned and Leliana wanted to settle old scores with her former lover, there was a choice between letting Marjolaine go or killing her, ending the vendetta once and for all. After Marjolaine's death, Leliana seemed to be visibly shaken and also having crisis of faith, not sure if her belief in the Maker was just her imagination. The Warden may encourage her that she's not slipping and she needs to accept who she is. As the story progress, they clearly fall in love with each other. Alistair and Leliana are the only two viable romantic options I approve of in Dragon Age: Origins. Morrigan However, she is shown in Dragon Age: Origins and in Dragon Age: Inquisition to have a soft side as well. Overall, as a character I like her but as a romance option, it's not my preference, although the concept is intriguing. Zevran Aranai Sten Wynne Cullen Rutherford Oghren Shale Loghain Mac Tir However, if decided by the Warden, Loghain can be conscripted into the Grey Wardens and depending on the interactions with him, he shows true remorse and eagerness to earn forgiveness and redeem himself and later, he becomes a truly honorable companion, who is willing to diligently serve as the Warden as a penance for his sins. On one hand, I think he does deserve to die but on the other hand, I am a supporter of redemption and Loghain is truly willing to make up for his past sins and later in Dragon Age: Inquisition, he is shown to truly have reformed and it is apparent, that he will spend the rest of his life as a Grey Warden, to atone for his crimes. Nathaniel Howe What I would like to see is a romance between Nathaniel Howe, son of the man responsible for wiping out almost an entire House Cousland, save for Fergus and Cousland Warden, who would be a female. I mean, Rendon Howe was Bryce Cousland's friend before betraying him and Nathaniel then became a pariah because of his father's sins and Female Cousland would be trying to restore her family's glory, while attempting not to hate Nathaniel for his father's crimes. You have to admit that the romance between them would be an interesting concept and I wish the game had exploited that. Anders Spirit of Justice Sigrun Velanna Favorite Characters in Dragon Age: Origins Preferred Romances in Dragon Age: Origins: Other than that, I don't support any non-canon pairings and certainly no incest or slash fics, such as Leliana / Morrigan, Alistair / Zevran, Nathaniel Howe / Anders etc. Characters in Dragon Age 2 and Pairings: Varric Tethras Bethany Hawke As a Circle Mage, she's just a victim. As a Grey Warden, she tries to help others as much as she can within her power. Carver Hawke As a Templar, he becomes a pompous ass with a high level of arrogance and superiority. As a Grey Warden, he finds a sense of duty he had been looking for alongside with sense of honor and understands better the concept of selflessness and is more eager to help others, gaining humility. Not my favorite sibling but I can understand him. Aveline Vallen Anders Merrill Isabela Sebastian Vael Fenris Afraid of commitment, mainly because after he had become a slave, all his memories of previous life were erased. When having sex with Hawke, all Fenris' memories of his past life came flooding at once before fading away again and he left cowardly, leaving Hawke alone in bed. He never forgave himself for it and would do anything to take it back, since for him, and I quote: "Nothing could be worse for me than thought of living without you.". I prefer him as a romance option, mainly for Female Mage Hawke, since I think it has sense of irony and it helps Fenris realize that there are good mages after all. Again, quoting Fenris: "For every mage such as you, there are dozen more too weak to handle their power. Them I fear. As should anyone else." Tallis Cullen Rutherford In Dragon Age 2, he becomes the second-in-command of Knight-Commander Meredith of Templar Order of Kirkwall, overseeing Kirkwall's Circle of Magi as Knight-Captain. Due to his traumatic experience with the mages in Dragon Age: Origins, he becomes harsher on mages than before. However, he still believes that Templar Order should protect the population from magic but also to protect the mages that the templars are sworn to oversee. I would be intrigued if in Dragon Age 2 he was a romance option for Female Hawke. He becomes more and more disillusioned by the harsh treatment the mages get from the Templars, eventually causing for him to turn against Knight-Commander Meredith, when she went insane and was going to wipe out the entire Circle, when Anders, who was an apostate mage and was never part of Kirkwall's Circle, destroyed the Chantry, with Grand Cleric and hundreds of people inside. Favorite Characters in Dragon Age 2 Preferred Romances in Dragon Age 2 And I do not support incest pairings with Hawke / Bethany or Hawke / Carver, since these are in my opinion really stupid and same goes for non-canon slash pairings, such as Fenris / Anders etc. Hawke / Leliana, I honestly don't have a problem with that one and I get why people might want to write this pairing, either Male Hawke / Leliana or Female Hawke / Leliana, I think that this concept is intriguing. Characters in Dragon Age: Inquisition and Pairings: Cassandra Penthaghast Dorian Pavus Gordon Blackwall (Thom Rainier) When a member of Rainier's crew, who had participated in the massacre of a noble family, was being executed, Blackwall stepped up and confessed and revealed his true identity. The Inquisitor has a choice either to let him rot in dungeon on allow him to continue serve the Inquisition to make up for what he has done and conscript him to the Wardens as he was supposed to. I like the concept of redemption and Rainier seems sincere in redeeming himself. As a romance option, Rainier is grown fond of Female Inquisitor but distances himself from her because he does not want her to fall in love with someone he's not and hurt her by letting her love a lie. It is possible to continue the relationship and start over, with no lies anymore. I like Rainier, since he sincerely regrets his sins and wants to redeem himself and the nature of the romance with Female Inquisitor intrigues me. Sera Cole Iron Bull Leliana Josephine Montilyet Cullen Rutherford In Dragon Age 2, he becomes the second-in-command of Knight-Commander Meredith of Templar Order of Kirkwall, overseeing Kirkwall's Circle of Magi as Knight-Captain. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, Cullen becomes the military commander of Inquistion, trying to restore order between Templar and Mages. When asked about his feelings about mages, he states that he has seen the suffering that magic can inflict and has treated mages with distrust because of it in the past - sometimes without cause. He admits that it was unworthy of him and says that he will try not to do so in the future. However, he still thinks that mages should be checked with safeguards to protect people - including the mages. Though he disagrees with the Templar Order's actions, he sympathizes with the Order's frustrations of their work taken for granted by most people. As a romance option, I would prefer a Female Mage Inquisitor for Cullen, since it seems fitting and this type could help him with his shaken faith with Templars and mages. Solas (Fen'harel - "Dread Wolf") Favorite Characters in Dragon Age: Inquisition Preferred Romances in Dragon Age: Inquisition Characters in Mass Effect and Pairings: Ashley Williams Ashley later joins the crew of Normandy, Shepard's ship but is wary of working with aliens, since her grandfather was the first human that ever surrendered himself to aliens, giving her a little xenophobic racist attitude towards aliens, which seems offensive to the character, in my opinion but I don’t exactly blame her. She loves her family and has three younger sisters she used to look after. Above all else, all she wants to prove herself and redeem her family's name. She's also a religious person, loves poetry and talking about family. Though she seems tough and aggresive, she can be respectful and sympathetic. She is not completely xenophobic, since she knows that humans and aliens need to cooperate but prefers if humans could be independent and had more chance to prove themselves and she is able to respect authority, when being assigned to squad of aliens and later, she learns to trust aliens in missions more. However, during the choice between saving either Kaidan or Ashley on Virmire mission, if chosen Ashley, this deepens her survivor's guilt but with Shepard's help she is able to come to terms with it and eventually, she accepts her alien comrades as good friends. I honestly grew fond of and warmed up to the character and I think that Ashley Williams is OTP for Male Shepard in the entire Mass Effect series. Even though she feels betrayed by believing that Shepard was dead for two years in ME2, she still loves Shepard and ME3, the story of Shepard and Ashley finding their way to each other is so well done and emotional. I love the romance between Male Shepard and Ashley, since it is very emotional and well done. Kaidan Alenko Liara T'Soni Garrus Vakarian Urdnot Wrex Tali'Zorah Miranda Lawson She is later shown to be insecure and care about her "sister" Oriana, another clone and becomes disillusioned with Cerberus, a pro-human extremist group, due to rising immorality, or even amorality of their actions, joining Shepard's cause. Potential romance for Male Shepard. She is cautious of sexual tension due to her insecurity and perfect body, yet if Shepard is insistent, she grows to develop an affection and eventually fall in love. I like how the romance goes down between her and Male Shepard but I would prefer the romance with Ashley for Male Shepard. Jacob Taylor Thane Krios Mordin Solus Grunt Jack Kasumi Goto Zaeed Massani Javik James Vega Samantha Traynor Jeff "Joker" Moreau EDI David Anderson Donnel Udina Favorite Characters in ME Preferred romances in ME: And I do not support any non-canon slash or incest pairings in Mass Effect at all, such as Female Shepard / Ashley, Female Shepard / Miranda, Ashley / Miranda, Miranda / Jack, Miranda / Oriana etc. And honestly, doing Male Shepard / Kaidan in ME3 seems like a really stupid idea, in my honest opinion. I didn’t find Mass Effect: Andromeda as enjoyable as the original trilogy with Commander Shepard and I lost interest after two hours of gameplay. If you're interested in stories that I have written, stories I consider my favorite ones because I have highly enjoyed them, or want to take a look at the works of some other writers that I find very good in my opinion, see for yourselves below. |
