Well, I guess I’ll start by saying I have been writing since before I could write. When I was a little kid and could barely read words longer than three letters, I used to sit next to my mother at the computer and tell her stories about the pictures I had dawn. When I was finished, she would laminate my stories and put them on the bookshelf. When I was old enough to read and write, I wrote my own stories, and when I reached middle and high school I took several creative writing classes. When I was 18 I decided that it was time to grow up and pursue more responsible endeavors like becoming a lawyer and spent 4 years writing legal studies and case briefings. Now, I have a degree in political science and I work in a pediatrics office while pursuing writing and photography on the side. Some weeks I have more free time than I know what to do with, and some weeks I hardly know when I am supposed to find time for sleep.

My biggest influence is Joss Whedon (who is a god, btw--SO glad to see him back on TV with SHIELD), and it still makes me sad that Buffy is over. I have a BTVS marathon at least once every three months or so. Firefly too. Unfortunately, I love his characters and his writing far too much to tarnish his universe with my own feeble attempts, so there will likely never be any Buffy writing here. I do, however love Bioware games just about as much, and since there is such a large degree of personal creativity with the PC, I don’t feel quite so self-conscious writing in their world. I also shoot photography from time to time, and I like to draw on occasion. I like singing along with the radio…or my mp3 player when the radio options suck as much as they do in Texas…
