![]() Author has written 2 stories for Mortal Instruments, and Hunger Games. About me:OK so here it is about me. I'm nineteen in my first year of college and am a dance major. I live in the US, but I (being an Army brat) grew up all over the world. I speak German, French, and English, and am working on Spanish and Italian. I love randomness- it keeps things interesting. I dance because I like to express myself. I love music and I think that it is the probably the reason that I dance. I love the eloquence of lyrical expression. The harmony's alone can tell a story. The best part is when you hear a song and immediately see a group of dancers in your head moving with such grace and beauty that it does not take away from the song, but magnifies its meaning and turns it into something so emotional that the feelings it evokes are palpable. But I digress... I started writing as a way to further express myself. I am a hopeless romantic and I love happily ever afters, BUT I always feel that in the books that inspire me to write my own squealed versions that the authors always leave something to be desired and I just HAVE to let my mind make up something concrete... vagueness is evil. About my writing:I am a big fan of AU stories, but unfortunately I don't write them myself. I always find it's easier to add on to a pre-existing concept than it is to come up with a completely new one. I have published more stories than are currently up- I went through and got rid of the ones I wanted to revamp, or I frankly just didn't feel was my best work. I DO write the occasional lemon, but its not too graphic. I like to leave things up to the imagination. Most of my rating are Teen because they are written in the same style as the books I am inspired to write about. I don't get too graphic for that reason- I try to stay as close to the authors original styles as possible, which my readers seem to enjoy. About my reviews:I never leave flaming reviews. Ever. It's rude and I expect the same respect to my work. If you don't like it, please be constructive. I am not opposed to that kind of criticism, but I do have feelings and they get hurt. If you do feel the need to flame, please do it in a PM- again some of my stuff can suck. I try to avoid those though lol. If I review your work, even with criticism it is because I like it. I want to encourage writers who to keep writing, even if they aren't great because I feel that practice makes perfect and if you are motivated you will keep writing! So for those who I review- Keep up the great work! Favorites: Purple. Owls. Mae (awesome band- look them up and listen three times before you write them off... they're sort of an acquired taste. The first time you're like "uhhh...idk." The second listen is "Meh. Ok not too bad..." and the third go round you're all "Wow. The vocals and aesthetic of this band is just amazing." Trust me. They rock.) Alternative music in general (Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons, Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Muse, Broken Bells, Phoenix, Metric... I could go on forEVER). Lobster. The beach. Football- as in FIFA, not the NFL. Bellydance. Summer. Halloween. Harry Potter. Ten things I hate about you. Bones. Interesting Tid-Bits: I like the Twilight books- the movies? Not so much (but that doesn't mean I cant feel a bit like a pedophile while I check out Taylor... mmmm I want me one of THOSE!). But I DO love the soundtracks (again- I love music). I'd rather listen to the radio than talk in the car and I get annoyed when other people are trying to talk to me when a good song is on. I like dirty fanfics- I don't write them, but to me its like porn for other people... Too much information? Probably. But you all know you were thinking the same thing too. "M" ratings may be graphic, but at least they aren't as bad as actually WATCHING porn. Plus- no viruses on your computer this way. ;] But I digress. I live on a horse farm www.BellaDonnaGypsyFarm.com. Visit it. It's awesome. FIFA world cups are the coolest friggen event in the entire world to attend. Trust me. I've been to the last two. And I plan on going to South America for the next one. I think musicians are hot... I also have a musician friend who plays guitar that looks exactly what I imagine Simon form The Mortal Instruments to look like. Seriously. I love Fleetwood Mac. I wanted to go to the reunion tour last year, but we had a baby horse get sick... goodbye once in a life time tickets. I need silence and a ceiling fan to sleep... I tried ear buds once, but I found the music distracted me from sleep... and when I did finally fall asleep the ear buds had tangled in my hair and around my neck... It took me over an hour to get them out. The truly funny part of that story was explaining the strange bruises on my neck to my teachers... I'm really a horrible dancer in the sense that it takes me forever to master a new move. But once I have it I'm golden. I fence competitively... I'm short, so I usually win haha. I have a thing for leather journals. I love them. I buy them and then think they are so pretty that I can't possibly write in them and ruin them... I think I like them because it makes me feel like I could be like Bilbo and Frodo Baggins and write an epic story in one. Or perhaps a Harry Potter spell book... Or a Secret Circle Book of Shadows... Matters not the reason... I love them. OH and they smell good. My favorite fictional character is Ron Weasly. He's so emotionally dynamic just for the sole reason that he doesn't understand emotions. "A person can't feel all that. They'd explode!" Which makes him SUCH a guy. | |||||||
