My name is Shawn Bullwinkel and I was born on Christmas Eve 1979 in Dayton, Ohio. From a very young age I became interested in fantasy type fiction starting with the Dragonlance Chronicles. This began a lifelong affinity to this genre. I have read many series ranging from the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, to the Seeker, and even the Deathgate cycle. When the movies came out depicting the world created by J.R.R Tolkein I was very excited. I have watched each movie numerous times and still catch new details every time that I watch it.

Expanding on my horizons of this world I joined the army in 2001, just prior to 9/11. I was actually on leave from basic training on 9/11, and I must admit my blood ran cold when I saw the terrorist attacks on T.V. I participated in the spearhead for the invasion of Iraq, and it was a once in a lifetime experience. I slept in multiple palaces belonging to Saddam and his sons. I rappelled from helicopters to the sound of artillery and mortars.

My unique life experiences should give a fresh look to adventurous tales full of well-developed characters. I have extensive experience on foreign cultures, mythology, and even first person supernatural experiences. I have gone through a lot of good and bad events in life and believe that I can use these experiences to enrich my writing.

This is my first attempt at creating fan fiction and I am looking forward to creating an interesting story that all of you can enjoy.
